For the record, "she" is Leah Koch, not Paula (whom "she" would usually refer to on the Holiblog). I'm thinking a steel coaster. They already seem to have a good variety of wooden coasters in my opinion; they can't really go much bigger besides going with INTAMIN or RMC. The latter would probably work best for wooden coasters since they're doing new things, although I think a steel coaster would be much more marketable for HW.

I still don't understand why they "had" to remove Rolling Thunder. Was it because of declining ridership?

He loved INTAMINs a little too much. I won't go any further than that. Speaking of INTAMINs, why do we capitalize it like that? Does INTAMIN wish for us to do so? Is it because INTAMIN is a registered trademark? (Don't answer yes please )

Just longer, with hills and turns, maybe some inversions. Kingda Ka has 2 hills, and I guess 2 U-turns.

Vortex has only a 48" requirement. Thanks, but I'm positive I rode Son of Beast before Vortex. My parents haven't liked Vortex for quite a few years. Remind me to force them into 5-1 next time.

Probably Son of Beast in 2004. I don't know of any other inverting coasters that have/had a 48-inch height requirement. Prior to this, the only other amusement center I had been to was WDW.

So either it's close to opening or they're having issues. Unless one or the other (or something else) has been confirmed already.

That's unlikely, as CF has contracted GCI for all of their recent wooden coasters. Then again, there was a time when every new coaster installation at CP was an Intamin... Well...

2.5 hours to KI, about 5 to CP. 5 hours to MA as well. Probably could get a Platinum pass, since all these parks are relatively close to me.

For the record, CP has not (to my knowledge) released their 2014 map yet. Giraffica being removed could indicate the removal of STR. Or STR could end up SBNO for the next 3 seasons. We don't know. If I were CP, I would probably just cut my losses at this point.

Oh, also wanted to know if FoF has FUNTV. I hope not, I love that pre-show. I mean, I guess they could have it in the outside queue...

So, would you all say it's better than Chilivision? Chilivision was pretty much a bunch of advertisements from what I remember. Also, just some random thing I'm wondering about: are they using the same footings from Chilivision? If not, are the new ones in the same places?

Vortex is not being removed unless there is something we don't know, and it is not sinking. Just want to clear that up for everyone. Also, if they decided to remove it, wouldn't they have already done it, or started work on demolishing it?
