So you need to be in the park to check wait times? That's a relief. Well, if the receipts for the Kroger tickets state that you get ERT with them as was said before the revert, then either someone misunderstood your question or there was some sort of miscommunication between KI and Kroger.

At this rate At this rate, you'll be lucky if it's even open when you go...

Cedar Point Fast Lane discount

Never heard of this. I'd check KI's gold pass perks; you'll probably get all of those. To be sure, call the park. -

More FUNtv's being installed at Kings Island
Diamondback96 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
They put in new (Samsung?) LCD TV's with a digitized version of the queue film, rather than wiring them into FunTV. Yeah, that's what I heard. I was hoping that they didn't end up putting FunTV in there after all. -

Hopefully they don't put FunTV in FoF's queue (unless they have, in which case please switch it back to the unique video. I haven't been to KI since 2012, sorry). Park-wide things like this shouldn't be in the queues for heavily-themed rides, especially if the queue is heavily themed. -
My mom has a saying: "Try it once. If you don't like it, you don't have to ride it again." I don't think it's exactly that, but that's the gist of it. She used this to get us on the roller coasters, Drop Tower, etc. And especially Tower of Terror at WDW. That's her favorite ride ever. She made everyone try it (besides me, I was pretty young at the time, and my brother I think) and my dad and sister despised it. I believe my sister still has a mild fear of elevators, and she's almost 25! Last time we went to KI (I believe 2012, pretty sure we decided to only go to HW in 2011), my dad and I used this against her. She did not want to ride WindSeeker at all, but we told her she needed to ride it at least once. She did, and she ended up hating it. The only rides this never applied to were upcharges.

For good reason.

Hopefully ALL the rides are. Especially The Racer...Has The Racer not been working? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thunder Road (The Racer's younger sister at Carowinds) is being removed for "future additions."

Carowinds' Thunder Road to race no more

Thinder? Is that a clue or a typo? Rolling Tinder! To remain on-topic, I have to say that this news scares me. A lot. -
I like other kinds of ketchup. Everyone has their own opinions. I believe you aren't raven for a certain voyage.
-
Yes. Not all of us are blessed with free* parking.

I think an RMC at KI would be amazing. A new one, that is. Voted for wood though, since they're closer to that than a giga.

Thunderbird has launched!
Diamondback96 replied to APE's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
In the first Voyage video: "This knocks El Toro down to #2!" Terpy probably thinks that's a load of bull. He tends to rave about something else in HW. That said, is it just me or does Voyage look even more exciting than it did before with Thunderbird going over it? -
Nintendo coming to Universal parks
Diamondback96 replied to marth555's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Anyway, Universal's making it harder and harder to ignore them. I really wanted to go there last year when I was at WDW but my parents didn't want to. -
Oh, Terpy.
-
Yep, I know that. Hopefully they can get it when it expires.
-
I still think they need to get kingsisland.com. It hasn't been associated with anything for like a year now.

Should You Feel Safe on a Roller Coaster?
Diamondback96 replied to rlentless's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Technically, the whole idea of a roller coaster is to make you feel unsafe without actually being unsafe. If your body realizes that it's safe, then it's not going to thrill you, since there's no need for adrenaline to flow through your body. That said, you are much safer on almost any roller coaster than you are in a car, in a train, in a plane, or even walking. -
Could be worse. He/she could have said Cedar Point in place of Cedar Fair.

I guess a big fly would make some sense...

Source for this? This scared me since I love going to DisneyQuest so I had to make sure. Seems like most arcades will remain open but will no longer have any redemption games. The Tomorrowland arcade is apparently already closed so they can fill the resort arcades, though. (Source) Of course, this is from January 10th. Things can and do change rapidly. If they did decide to literally close every arcade, then they have so many open spaces now, including all of DisneyQuest. I just don't see that happening. I don't believe DisneyQuest ever had redemption games though, since all the games are free to play as long as you pay to get in.

New Site Layout?

I would think having it above the forum body would be acceptable.
