It may be a B&M Hyper, but how are B&M hypers "Record Breaking and History Making?". I'm not sure...world's longest roller coaster? First Ever Launched B&M Hyper? First ever B&M Giga? Stratacoaster that breaks Kingda Ka's records? Lift hill coaster that shatters all world records at once, like The Beast did in 1979 (465 foot hill, 440 foot drop, 11600 feet long, 135mph BWA HA HA)? I'm waiting for 8/26/2009...

Wow. Didn't realize my polls were so popular... And I checked, someone made a topic about my future poll so...DEAD. Sorry...it was gonna be a "What would you put where SOB is if it is destroyed" poll. Not that I want to see SOB destroyed just yet...(I have never rode it and if it is destroyed before I can I will be ticked). Now, an overhaul I could deal with. Back on topic...I basically am wanting to expand beyond polls. Create other topics. Perhaps some non KI related polls?(What?) I'm into other stuff... Update: I'm gonna do that...check videogames section!

Well, I assume Flight Deck won't be removed, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and let's say SOB is removed... New Hyper-Woodie. Back when SOB was built in 2000, Pre-Fab woodies were still a year away and I am not sure how far off Steel Supports were. SOB was also built by a manufacturer who didn't really know what they were doing and had little wooden coaster making experience. They also tried too much at once when it wasn't yet possible. Now it's 9 years later. Pre-Fab woodies go nearly as high as SOB, and are almost as fast. And yet they have no roughness at all! Look at El Toro or Colossos. There is a website called www.coastergrotto.com where users can rate any roller coaster in the world from 1-10. Son of Beast (somehow, must not be as hated as we thought) has a 7.4. But the pre-fab monsters El Toro and Colossos are 9.4 or higher even after 100s of votes(in the case of El Toro at least). That's even better than Beast(8.8) and only a little below Voyage(9.6)! I don't see a pre-fab woodie having a problem going even higher than SOB. Now, you also need someone who actually knows how to make wooden monsters- CGI, Intamin, and a few others come to mind. Don't try massive helixes at 78mph, use airtime hills instead at those speeds. My hyper-woodie would actually probably be an out-and-back coaster. Think Racer, but MUCH, MUCH bigger. And faster. With tunnels. Not sure of a name for it, leaning towards "The Mammoth". Or just Mammoth. This coaster would restore all records lost when SOB was destroyed and restore the good Kings Island name to boot. This would also open space for a expansion from X-Base to Action Zone for a future coaster. King Cobra II? B&M Dive Machine? Floorless? Stratacoaster? The possibilites for that are endless...and I'd remove Thunder Alley, replace with a flatride. Not sure which one but a choice could be made... ...back to reality, we first need to see what happens to SOB...

If you don't like looking at his polls, simply stop clicking on them. However, other members of KIC (Myself included) enjoy discussing other coasters that we have ridden, and McSalsa's polls gave us a place to do that. I truly don't understand why people are bashing him for his polls. Sure, there were a lot of them, but every one of them (With the possible exception of DB vs. LBGC) had some amount of discussional value to them (Yes, even SoB Vs. FOC, because there are people like me who very much prefer the latter.) and should be allowed to exist without people trolling because they're tired of looking at polls. Just my $0.02 worth. I did not create Diamondback vs. LBGC. Or SOB vs. FOC. Someone else created those and slapped the "Coaster Battle" name on them. And yes, DB vs. LBGC was a pointless one. But SOB vs. FOC actually was kinda funny...

Very good points...I am not done with polls, but don't expect any soon unless I get a good one. I'm also going to try more non-poll topics... Update: I have an idea for a poll...but I'm going to hold off on it until we learn the fate of Son of Beast. Could be a while.

OK, ANNOUCEMENT: The polls have gotten way out of hand. I'm going to hold off on them for a while, some people are getting ticked off. When I joined KIC in April, there were only about 10 or so polls. This was April 2009 BTW. I had some good ideas, and my first few polls were made. BTW, some of the newer "coaster battles" I didn't even make... Nonetheless, I'm going to (at least try to) hold myself off the polls for a while...until I get something worth polling, like back when I first joined KIC. I will still post...but less polls. And no coaster battles for a long time either. They seemed like a good idea when I made the first one...but then they began to stink up the place.

This one just popped in my mind- Kings Island has 4 looping roller coasters. All 4 have (well, mostly) "Good" Reputations and are well known and loved... I'm putting them into this contest. Who will win? BEGIN THE BATTLE!

Having rode both of these...I choose...shockingly... Diamondback. (Crickets) PS: When I rode Little Bill's (I was 10), it was Top Cat's Taxi Jam. I remember it having on-ride photo. Wonder if it still does...

I've ridden Voyage. I am still raven about a different coaster in that park. Wow. I think I know who voted for Raven now.

How much did you have to pay for the god pass, and what additional benefits does it have over the platinum pass? Does it give you the power to be omnipresent and ride all the rides at the same time? Gator, just havin' fun... God Passes cost $300 trillion, yes you can be omnipresent and ride rides, you can also be funny and make rides and stuff fly around in the sky if you wish. Remember that day everything at KI was floating in the sky, spinning around in a giant invisible Tornado? Someone had a God Pass that day. And they seriously messed up putting everything back in the correct location, because Diamondback ended up sideways in Action Zone and Vortex was in a lake 32 miles away. LOLOLOLOLOLOL However, if you have a Platinum Pass, God Passes are only $150 trillion to upgrade. McSalsa, also havin' fun.

Not really all you would have to do is have it launch up a hill and the rest of the ride would be like any other wooden coaster. I made a "launched" wooden roller coaster in RCT3...as well as a Wooden Shuttle Coaster...and a wooden coaster that went 260+ feet in the air. With not one, but TWO LOOPS!!! I must be crazy.

PS: If you wish add these in your comments... EPIC LOSER- First coaster to get thrown out in your book. FINAL FOUR- Last 4 coasters standing... FINAL TWO- Duking it out for the win... And, of course, the winner.

I saw this while browsing the suggestions page...and thus, Coaster Battles have returned! I have decided to keep these battles within the region...unless it's a GREAT one...and so this one fits perfectly because it only features KI and Cedar Point coasters. And sorry Fairly Odd Coaster, I wanted to keep this between the "bigger" rides. Who wins this battle? PS: I made a oops no one saw...I said "Blue Streak @ Kings Island!" in the poll box...

OK, I am updating this poll...now there is an option if you have rode over 300 roller coasters. That's a lot of steel...wood...and more. If you have rode that many and can't find one you like...you probably shouldn't be riding roller coasters. Unless you do nothing but ride boring kiddie coasters or ultra-rough woodies. In that case go find a better coaster. Or something. I have confused myself. PS: Meant to update this poll with a new question but it wouldn't let people who have already voted vote again, so...new poll coming soon!

BTW, by "Ultra Massive Coaster", I mean something that starts where SOB is, takes up nearly all of that space, and even works its way around to X-Base and back...probably with a 400+ foot lift hill. That's one big coaster...

Well, I decided to make a new topic regarding the shocking news. Firehawk will be closed for a while because of this, and here is my question: how long do you think Firehawk will be down? I don't think it will be very long, as this is the ride's first major incident (unlike SOB) and it will take no more than 2 weeks or so to inspect it. What do you guys think? PS: May that poor dude rest peacefully and good blessings be bestowed on that family.

It was a great place even before it became "America's Roller Coast". We can thank that beach for Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200, TTD, Blue Streak, Raptor, Mantis, Gemini, Mean Streak, MaxAir, Power Tower, Screamin' Swing...holy cow the list goes on and on and on for what seems like forever!!!
