From Busch I remember stairs... only stairs... Bigger does not mean better. Small rides can be better than big rides. speed and drops dont mean much. Look at Beast. I would guess that the coworker only knows from what she saw on the sign...

We dont claim to not be able to tell a difference in track, but we claim to not be able to tell what manufacturer makes the track... But your ability to look at track and know the company makes you a better enthusiast than the rest of us. Congrats you have won. You win the internet. The rest of us probably should just go home now. Come On KI-ORIG, lets go ride some rides that we dont know who made and probably dont care very much...

Its almost as if hes trying to troll to upset the board.... no offense SCCARD... in this day and age there is no reason that posting pictures would be too difficult. Flickr Instagram Facebook Twitter... all make it very very very easy....

Just curious? How is Vortex sinking? It seems like it's on solid ground? Just curious? How is Vortex sinking? It seems like it's on solid ground? Same way Magnum has been sinking for years. The ground is eroding. Just to clarify, The Vortex is not sinking. But it tends to be a very popular rumor because of how the ground below the ride is lower than the pathways I guess. Sometimes sarcasm is hard to pick up online... Sarcasm is strong with this one

my sister in law is a bigger woman in the thighs butt and lower stomach area. only ride she had trouble on was Diamondback. every other ride she was able to get on. the ride ops did their job and pushed and squeezed her in...

if this park is getting ready to be reopened then they are dropping the ball on building excitement through press releases.... or maybe they are hoping people will slowly forget about them as they walk away...
-
well Vortex will survive as long as they can keep it from sinking..... Vortex is a signature ride but it will leave when it costs too much to maintain...

I would guess there are many people on here who could not tell a track company by just looking at it for a brief moment. heck I have been on this site for a few years and still could not tell you a difference between a BM and Intamin...

Slight difference between a new mystery project that will be revealed at a later date in the summer with official press kits, etc versus a defunct park making a revival. Local media here in Cincinnati would be covering Americana's revival if it happened more than a viable company expanding its profile with a new ride/area/etc. Well you can always sign up for flickr. Then link to it. Thats very easy. I have done it when I did a drive by on Geuaga Lake. Now the pictures in the themeparkreview are a bit too tight to show much. I would like a wider shot to get the idea of the park looks like. Some over grown weeds in areas and rust does not show much in either way...

As a former journalist. If you cant show your sources, then it cant be believed. Covering your source, for legal reasons is one thing. But that usually does not carry any weight. When a source is named, then its believable. Plus a source that leaks info is either not a good source or is trying to gain something.

New for 2014: Charlie Hustle 309... Charlie Hustle 4192... the first coaster in the world to top 4000 feet! (it could actually be 4192 inches... that is 350 feet)- not my vote, but could be... Or a 350 foot flying coaster so it looks like you are sliding across home head first?

And in my opinion they look to be supports for a coaster that may or may not end up in use at some point and maybe even in this country...

I agree with a few posts on here. The more and more I look at it, The more I think that SOB's station will be Utilized with this new Ride. Don May have said that is the Home for WolfPack, but he did not say thats ALL They are going to use it for. Its too nice a Building and Set up in a Very Unique way.. Not to Metion the Reuse of Vortex/The Bats Station, Granted that was quite a while back, but it shows it can be done.. Plus it would save a Little bit of Money. Granted not much, But every little bit helps.. Well The Bat/Vortex station was reused by the SAME company.

Could that be a perception seen at a certain park located in KY... the park that may or may not open one day...

I carry a ziplock back in my cargo shorts. Same idea as the fanny pack. But I just cant get over the look of a fanny pack. I would rather wear cargos than a pack... but i may change my mind one day...

bigger isnt always better... referring back to the topic of a page ago. You cant claim Invertigo as an "everyman" coaster since it does a loop. I think when a coaster does a loop, extreme Gs, or extreme speed/height then it no longer falls into the category as Everyman. Invertigo does the loop/up side down moment. Since when do we judge a coaster's line as the level of popularity. C'mon KIC I know we are better than this...

Why wasnt this riders phone locked in a secure location? If it was easily used to make a phone call, seems to me it could have flown out in the helix...

^^ then i would guess its just filler. making a quota...

Well depending on the news stations, some producers will try to find "novel" news to fill in. These are the stories that get cut. Having not seen the story, I am just going from what we did at my station. Producers would call the police stations and ask about their run logs. Or in some cases, a reporter will go to the police station and review the run log. Also the scanners are on in the station all of the time. It could be that they heard about the run/call on the scanner. a few follow up questions later, and there is a story. Once again, it was probably thrown in as a cut possible. What time block was this story? Was it right at the beginning of the half hour (5 or 530) or was it more towards the middle (515/530) or was it near the end of the show (520/550).

If anything, they are sure running a bunch of commercials. I have heard them on the local Cincy and Dayton radio (the familiar come to da beach, right across from isle...) and have seen the commercial a few times on tv. If anything its nice to hear the familiar sounds of their commercial. But I do question their "Open Now, Really", slogan...

by descriptions of medical, I mean location and description and function of muscles ligaments etc...

Did anyone see that guy just laying there at 0:12? I like the guy posing in the background. I like the idea of variety, too. It's okay to have mainstays, especially in the kids' park, but to have signature coasters in every park makes people want to travel to experience them. Well wouldnt KI have a few rides that are signature coasters, that are not clones of other park's rides (Flight Deck, Beast, Racers, Adventure Express). Mainly due to how each ride uses the land around it to create a unique experience, as oppose to the Stunt Job Ride, Face Off (can never remember its new name), FoF where the rides dont incorporate the land around them and could be found anywehre. I don't know if it's because I'm tired, but I honestly can't decipher what you are typing. KI has many signature rides. I was noting that perhaps only CP would get the wing rider, it would be a signature ride for CP. My point was all CF parks don't have to be exactly alike. I think I read your statement as KI had no signature rides, so I was listing rides I would consider signature... no harm no foul. back to intamin vs BM

you know, to be truthful, wikipedia does have some helpful descriptions to medical terminology. It helped me through my masters. It would simplify things I was reading about or have color photos/videos.

and the time frame when it was being built. 1992? The internet was not anywhere close to what it is now. Cameras still had film. Not many people would waste film (and money to develop) on a picture of a footer, or some steel in the parking lot. Plus if it was developed there was not an easily accessible group/community that would be very interested in a picture of a footer, figuring out what the ride was going to be. same thing with video. Compare to today, digital camera and digital video. Easy to take 100 photos and upload online. Top gun was just a "ride" not like with The Beast that the park knew was going to be a unique new ride or The Racer (since it was part of the park opening).

So I was looking for something else and it brought me all the way back here... the bold are the removed rides....
