  1. Time files when you're incoherently arguing about an amusement park on the internet.
  2. I don't have any idea what to make of this.
  3. You seem to be using that phrase a lot. I don't think that means what you think it means.
  4. Literally, I think the only type of coaster we haven't mentioned in this thread is a bobsled coaster.
  5. @bmbillups Yeah, I doubt it. Sometimes, and apple is just a cigar. And other times, you're comparing cigars to oranges.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, there was a rumor floating about that Vortex would get those Vekoma trains for its 25th anniversary season. Since Vortex's 25th has passed, it seems doubtful. I mean, there's really no reason for it that I can see; the current trains work fine, even if they are a bit cramped for some people (myself included.)
  7. Why should it matter if this ride is a record breaker? As long as it's not a back breaker, it gets the Skippy Seal of Approval,
  8. If it is an invert, we'd have a heck of a lot of inverts in Action Zone. Perhaps AZ will be rethemed to reflect this. "Inverted Zone," anyone? Although that would be incredibly silly.
  9. And you know this how? The same way you know where that station, storage shed, and transfer track are for sure Except I don't.
  10. "Norm Pirtovshek, vice president and general manager of Canada's Wonderland, wanted another B&M. As he tells it, when the project was presented to the firm, B&M turned it down. "Walter said, 'No, we won't go 300 feet,'" reports Pirtovshek. But he didn't give up. As the project continued to develop, Pirtovshek persevered: "Look, Walter. If you won't go 300 feet, you're going to lose this contract." Then, Walter told the general manager, "I owe you one." As it turned out, Canada's Wonderland had originally approached B&M for an inverted coaster in the mid-90s. Since Cedar Point - which at the time was not in the same park chain - has installed Raptor, an exclusivity clause with B&M prohibited a competitor within a certain distance from having a B&M inverted coaster. Pirtovshek says that because of this past situation, Walter told him, "I'll do it. I'll do the 300 feet." (Underlined for emphasis) (Source: "B&M Strikes the 300 Foot Barrier With Leviathan" by Tim Baldwin, RollerCoaster!: The Official Magazine of the American Coaster Enthusiasts issue # 124) So unless B&M also owes Kings Island a favor (which they don't) or has suddenly lost their aversion to gigas, it's not a giga no matter how much KI would benefir from one. Sorry to burst your bubble.
  11. There's more evidence against it than that.
  12. I thought the whole B&M Giga hypothesis was debunked a good two hundred pages ago.
  13. So now, there will be no original record of the whole HTCO fiasco? I don't care if it's for the good of the community, that's downright scary.
  14. You know, the more I think about it, the more I begin to get the sinking feeling that this Decoding 2014 "cleanup" may cause more harm than good. Either way, it's setting a precedent for these forums that I'm not entirely comfortable with.
  15. These footers have been going in quickly. Especially so when considering the weather.
  16. Three words: Ravine Flyer II. In my opinion, incomparable in the world of wooden coasters.
  17. It's a possibility, but that seems a bit like a conspiracy theory to me.
  18. The old thread is being "cleaned up?" News to me. Seems kinda 1984, but I trust the admins have our best interests in mind.
  19. This is just another one of those instances where everybody needs to take a step back, have some cookies and a warm glass of milk, look back on everything that's happened since Monday night, and re-evaluate the situation. I mean, come on. This whole situation is nothing short of pitiful and embarrassing to the whole KIC community.
  20. Are we really having this debate again? You simply cannot - I repeat, cannot - tell for certain the manufacturer or type of coaster based solely on the footers. You can guess all you want, but trying to figure out a manufacturer solely on footers is like trying to figure out a song's lyrics based solely on it's chord progression.
  21. What good would knowing who it was do? Don't be dumb. Rules aren't made to be broken, so follow them.
  22. You know, if not for HTCO's many years of being on this site and his high post count, this latest stunt would have easily had many up in arms about him "trolling."
