Please help settle an argument between my wife and I...
LordSkippy replied to Stephen's topic in Kings Island
Didn't they have a double-ride program involving Gold Passes in the Paramount days? Could that be what your wife is thinking of? -
Ha. That's funny.
-
Back where I was standing, a fair amount of people booed.
-
who cares about records well maybe they should have made it the slowest, shortest invert coaster in the world.. Records don't matter right? What's that? I can't hear you over the sound of HOW AWESOME Banshee IS!

As for YoungStud, he is currently "Online," viewing the Community Index. (Search feature saves the day once again. )

Wow. I am seriously impressed. I mean, I expected it to be good but...wow. Just wow. I'm absolutely stoked. No MCBR? Full speed reached halfway through ride? The lift hill going through the first loop? Seven inversions? Can't wait!! You know I'll be there, first in line on Opening Day!
-
I'm seriously impressed. I mean, look at that! All those inversions - the hill going through the first loop - not reaching full speed until halfway through the ride?! I think I'm in love. I just hope there'll be a media day open to enthusiasts like Gatekeeper. That was tonnes of fun!
-
I'm stoked! Looks like it's gonna be a great addition to KI. Look at that themed station...looks rad! Groovy! - LordSkippy, having a blast!
-
I'm pumped! Looks like it'll be a great ride! And it looks massive! How 'bout those restraints, eh?

You've got to keep in mind, the 2009 Coaster thread (forget what it's called) is long gone - long, long gone. This thread is here today, and it's gone tomorrow. I'm calling it. - LordSkippy, the Madcap Laughs and Pet Sounds on his mind.

An inverted, winged, Intamin giga. Made of wood with seven loops. Not inversions, loops.

Well, it looks like rain might rain on the announcement's parade, hardy-har-har. Heavy rain on the radar for 10:00.

I know that you'll feel better when you send us in you letter and tell us the name of your... Your favorite vegetable. - LordSkippy, saved by Smiley Smile again.

9 Rides You Hated to See Leave Kings Island
LordSkippy replied to XGatorHead 8904's topic in Kings Island
No Tumble Bug? -
Apologies for the double post; to be honest, with the alarming rate posts are being posted, I expected someone to post something before I completed this one. I hate to say I told you so, but... I kinda told you so.

"Well, that's not the type of coaster I wanted" comes across as disappointed and ungrateful. "Well, that's not the type of coaster I wanted, but I'm happy we're getting what we're getting" comes across as disappointed but not ungrateful. The way you communicate has a lot to do with how you come across, and when people communicate like the first one, it makes the entire KIC community look whiny.

I fail to see how that confirms anything. The Bat page was taken down soon after being discovered as well. And you know the picture we just saw wasn't for sure because...? The Kings Island PR department is a tricky bunch. My point still stands.

I understand, but it really baffles me how people can even dare to say they're "disappointed" about a ride that hasn't been announced, gone vertical, given test rides, or opened yet. That'd be like me saying "I was disappointed about my Christmas present before I opened it."
-
How can anybody say they're disappointed? It baffles me. I mean, come on. Really? You're disappointed already? The ride hasn't even gone vertical yet! Kings Island is getting a brand new shiny ride that hasn't even been announced yet, and nobody has ridden yet, and yet people are STILL saying they're disappointed solely on the world record it will most likely be breaking? Grow up, people. This site has some of the most ungrateful human beings I've ever met on it.

CORN: The Ride. (Is that joke getting old? I think it's getting old. I'll stop now.) (In all seriousness though, Banshee.)
-
A floorless standup would be essentially be BICYCLE SEAT: THE RIDE. (Bicycle rider, just see what you've done - to the church of the American Indian! Say, do you like worms?) Ouch.
-
I'm going to have to go with Flight Deck. I love it, but nearly half of the ride's duration is lift hill, slow turn, and break run.
-
The coaster would be a stand-up wooden launched Galaxi. Seriously though, that would be pretty awesome. Wait, you can see this?! It all fits so perfectly....

Clearly this is a symbol that Son of Beast, Screamin' Demon, King Cobra, and Bavarian Beetle will all rise from their graves and the new attraction shall be called... Son of the Screaming Bavarian Cobra! I sometimes like to leave secret messages in what appear to be normal indentations. Check some of my other posts if you'd like! LordSkippy, who just realized what a hard time Action Zone and the surrounding area has keeping coasters around.
