I can get carried away, yes. Running through an empty Frontier Trail is one of my guilty pleasures. Perhaps I should register for one of the races they do up there. I usually limit myself to a power walk, though. Running on a midway, especially one with people on it, can be dangerous. I was originally planning to light jog Magnum->TTD->Valravn->Maverick. Walking that loop would have used up a quarter of the ERT, hence the hustle. It's not often that someone's wanting to go faster in a park than me. Quite refreshing, actually. Yep; you ran off ahead, and I had to pick up the pace to keep up.

Coaster clubs are like domain names. Easy to get another, hard to stop renewing one. -
^^^ Not quite; I limited myself to a reasonable pace most of the day. With little to no wait for anything, and not wanting to overdo it before nightfall, I had time to kill between each ride. The funny thing is, during ERT, I had to step up usual pace to keep up with acole5292.

To start with, check out the events pages for your favorite coaster club(s). https://greatohiocc.org/index.php?option=com_rseventspro&view=rseventspro&Itemid=598 http://coastercrew.net/events/ http://www.aceonline.org/Events/ Also, there will be the rescheduled Thrills in the Hills at Dollywood, National Roller Coaster Day at KI, a to-be-announced Coaster Crew event at Carowinds, and likely more. -
Friday afternoon I rode Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Gemini and Rougarou. In that order.

With the detour, it's probably better to get cars out before dark. You're never going to let me live down that trot from Beast to Banshee (& back), are you?

CoasterMania weekend just isn't good luck for utility lines extending to the peninsula... Hopefully everyone is alright!

^^ It never hurts to think ahead, but there are plenty of coaster events still to happen this year! I'd expect CoasterMania tickets to sell out even faster next year, as some who missed out this year will have learned not to wait. -

For passholders, $30 plus an online processing fee per order of $6 (1-2 tickets), $8 (3-4 tickets), or $10 (5-10 tickets). -

^ Those people are free to refrain from purchasing a ticket next year. More tickets available for everyone else. -
^ There was a selection of Shoot the Rapids drinkware on the counter as of yesterday.

Basically, they demoed it the same way Holiday World did theirs. Land clearing is expensive. It looks better than if two decaying lift hills were dotting the skyline.

A lot of people hang out with others they met at coaster events. Riding with people who share the passion can be a lot of fun. I might suggest attending one of the meetups, though I'd probably be considered biased in this regard. GOCC & PointBuzz had organized ones for CoasterMania yesterday. Another thing you might do is attend some smaller smaller coaster events. A group of 100 is less intimidating than a group of 1200. -
That particular problem would be very easy to fix by sticking to a testing & replacement schedule for the oil. I get that implementing new practices takes time, but some consistency would be expected by June. I'm not the first to complain about the oil used at Chicken Shack. Personally, I'd like to see more dogfooding. (i.e. sometimes have management eat what's being served to guests)
-
I feel bad for the full-fare guests who paid $15+tax for a plate of rancid-tasting food. Since I have already redeemed enough edible meals to pay for my dining plan, at least I'm not really paying when I toss a plate of slop.
-
As of Wednesday, the cooking oil at Chicken Shack badly needed replacement. Both the chicken & the fries had the distinctive taste of rancid oil.

I'm sore & exhausted this morning, so that would be a fair assessment. Completely worth it, obviously. My CoasterMania total according to my phone (Friday morning through 1am Saturday morning) was 59406 steps (40.5mi, 4847 Calories). -

I was the guy wearing the black Whizzer (SFGAm) shirt. Sometimes solo, other times with someone (or someones). I wish I was there to partake in it. I really do. Thought about it a few times today. So it's not a good thing. Hope your havin a great time bud. I had a great time; easily the best trip to CP I've ever taken. That Magnum ERT was something else. It was nice hanging out with KIC & PointBuzz members for various parts of the day. The weather was great, and the park was deader than I've seen it in a long time. I did night ERT with a PointBuzz member who also enjoys cardiovascular exercise. Let's just say we booked it from Magnum->TTD->Valravn->Maverick. Now for some sleep. -

At Cedar Point. Good thing Freaks76 isn't here to see how we're about to do ERT. -
What little crowd was here is now leaving. Top Thrill Dragster is sending half empty trains.
-
Cedar Point has been surprisingly dead today. Similar to CoasterMania 2014 crowds.

Since many got in last year without registering, it can be assured that some will try this year with a variety of excuses. For the sake of those who followed the rules, hopefully the park doesn't back down & sell additional tickets. I'd try to find someone else to use the ticket if I go the other way (it still hasn't been assigned to my name via the Accesso store), but that's definitely one factor pushing me north. It would be a shame for a spot there to go unused. -
Dorney Park: Fast Lane Plus offer for passholders
malem replied to malem's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Present your eligible pass to a location selling Fast Lane wristbands, according to the park's social media channels. The offer was specifically stated to be both for passholders who purchase during this spring promotion and existing passholders who purchased earlier. I have no idea whether the passholder's home park (in the pass system and/or as printed on the back of the pass) matters. Platinum is now marketed as a single chain-wide product rather than an individual product at each park. -

People are talking about Project 2017. The fact that fans are searching public records for more clues shows that the park's teasing has been effective. If anyone's annoyed, it's probably those working at the Mason city offices.
