We had periods of light rain at KI and Stricker's Grove, though most of the day was dry. No storms or heavy rain. In order to get drenched, we had to fill the log flume to near capacity. We saw absolutely nothing beyond a station wait, and filled trains were rare. It was the deadest I've ever seen KI with everything operating. We saw a few people with Fast Lane Plus(!). Well, drove; Stricker's is 30 miles away.

Beast at night: station wait. Everything else: No wait.
-
Still no waits at KI.
-
No waits at Stricker's Grove either.
-
No wait. For anything.

I like that you made a point to get a shot of the big water cup. And that didn't make you want to go over and ride it? (That slide is one of the very few amusement devices that scare me just thinking about it. Of course, that will probably get me over there to ride it. The slide is reportedly smoother than Tropical Plunge, which gives me some relief.)

If you buy the all-day or all-season drink bottle, you must have that bottle with you for refills. Drink wristbands are only available for groups and for guests who buy single-day Ride & Refresh tickets. KI sells these tickets as part of employee discount programs for KI partner companies.
-
When you go to print them, you should assign each ticket to the name of the person who will use it. This name will then be printed on the ticket.

^^^ Yes, of course. But at least those weren't destroyed.

Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees

It's not necessarily that they want to remain anonymous, they are just scared you'll run them to death. Yeah, you're never going to let me live that down. I'll admit to it being my suggestion, but you agreed! (When it's night ERT with 23 minutes remaining, and you're at Beast having yet to partake in a Banshee night ride, desperate times can call for desperate measures. We made the 0.5mi trek in 6 minutes, so we technically could have been power walking.) Seriously, though, more people should post in the meetups forum. Anymore, it seems that ~80% of the threads are mine. -

I'm definitely one to recommend meetups (here's a FAQ I posted awhile back), but some members have reasons for staying anonymous - which is completely fine. Members who make respectful posts & consistently follow the rules generally don't get accused of trolling. -
If security checks are in place, make sure to arrive earlier than 9:00 if you want to take full advantage of ERT.

I did accidentally swallow a bug while jogging this evening...

^ An hour for food sounds just about right for Dollar Days. I'm always astounded that people wait in food lines extending down the midway just for the opportunity to purchase small pizza slices for $1. If I'm waiting that long at an amusement park, there should be a ride waiting for me at the front of the line.

^ It's certainly possible; I didn't think of that. Other locations in the park still had regular Kinzel cups. In any case, large water cups were more than welcome on a humid, 90° day. Crowds were very light yesterday; I didn't wait more than 10 minutes for anything all day - including FoF and Diamondback. (The waterpark was another story; Tropical Plunge wait times were ~40 minutes in the afternoon.)
-
Tropical Plunge scraped up my back a bit. There were visible red marks and mild soreness, but no skin breaks. It's probably some combination of weight, the condition of your skin, and your exact riding position. If he decides to go, I'd suggest that he start out with the slowest (leftmost, green) body slide. Word of advice: don't do that. Soap can cause problems with pool water, and making things slippery could be a serious safety issue.

Walk-on city now. We'll see what happens when the waterpark closes.

Now available at Chicken Shack: The 20oz Son of Kinzel Cup.

More trees are falling. -
Everyone seems to be at Soak City, so it's a great day for the dry park. The weather the rest of the week looks to be too pleasant; hence why I went today.
