  1. ^^That's why I love Coney Island(OH)! Plus, there's many experiences at Coney Island that aren't at KI Pedal Boats, Rock-O-Planes, GOOD bumper cars, Bumper Boats, As mentioned above, Giant Slide, *Pepsi* Python(no coaster like it at KI), Amazing Pool, The one only, SPEED SLIDE! and, Short lines
  2. That's true. Back then people didn't try to make a lawsuit out of everything. But what I don't get is that how does Coney Island still has a Giant Slide if it has high injury rates and KI can't have one. Also, how do they still have the slide in the middle of the Sunlite Pool where you would climb up a ladder to get to it. To me that seems like a huge liability. Just to make sure...I'm not trying to "prove you wrong" or anything I 'm just asking some simple questions.
  3. They would have horrible capacity. And now I'm guessing a Rock-O-Planes being built at KI is out of the question. They don't have the best capacity either. I'll guess I'll just have to ride the Giant Slide and Rock-O-Planes at Coney... BF389...who's favorite Carnival typed-ride are Rock-O-Planes
  4. As I posted in the other thread "2012" KI could really use a burlap sack slide. I'm sure this wouldn't cost much. Anyone backing me up on this?
  5. I still stay with KI. The park has sooooo much room to expand. Cedar Point will have to demolish old rides to build new ones. At Kings Island, I can enjoy the new rides without having to say goodbye the old rides.
  6. Now at first thought about this thread you're probably thinking, "Oh Cedar Point any day of the week!" But really, I go with Kings Island as is it is my hometown park (obviously) but still, Kings Island has lots of room to expand. There fore, I can expect a new ride every two or three years. Cedar Point, yes, as mentioned before they still have some room to expand but not for long they will have to start removing rides in order to build new ones... (And yes, I should have posted this in the KI Polls)
  7. Not always on DB. One time I asked for the back seat and the guy rudely said "No! go to row 9 please."
  8. Snoopy and Scooby both park mascots? That would be stupid. I honestly wouldn't give a darn AT ALL. Yeah that would be considered, "stupid" I guess. But would the GP care? At all?
  9. We only waited 5 or 6 minutes. None of the Speed-Rails were open and the line didn't even exceed to where the second set of Speed-Rails are.
  10. I guess I won't ask any more questions. I don't want you to reveal your identity, well, not that I know your identity. EDIT: 300th post!
  11. You assume that the license to the ride in question was the issue. It was not. Terp, who has said all he can or will How come you always say "that's all I can say as I've already said too much"? Just curious...
  12. I was also surprised how little the ride changed. I didn't like how CF marketed it as a "new interactive dark ride" even though all they did was remove Scooby-Doo characters and references and replace them with generic Haunted House references and characters.
  13. Near the end with all the dark skelotons I can see how It can really scare little kids. When I first saw those I was actually a little spooked for a second cuz I wasn't expecting that. IMO, Cedar Fair should've just kept it Scooby-Doo themed.
  14. ^California Screamin', Rockin' Rollercoaster, Hollywood Tower of Terror, Maliboomer, Space Mountain(I guess)etc. are great thrills
  15. Wait, I'm really confused here. Is Gary Coleman dead or not?
  16. Oh ya and they even put in a corckscrew so it's the world's first wooden rollercoaster with a corckscrew!
  17. I voted Coney Mall since there's a large variety of rides in that section. Everything from flying coasters to action theaters.
  18. This a poll I thought about when I was looking at the park map yesterday when I was at KI... Oh yeah, and for the bonus question I promised in the poll description, here it is! If you could only pick 3 different rides to ride for a day you spend at KI, which three would you choose? Here's my lineup: Diamondback Drop Zone The Beast
  19. Oh yes it is. Exactly why I apoligized for starting this thread. BF389...running for the door (as mentioned a lot before on this site)
  20. Sure there are seats that might enhance your ride, but in general a great coaster should be a great ride where ever you sit. Not like Beast where if I'd get assigned to a wheel seat I'd rather jump over the railing and run away. I take the front at night, nothing else. But that's just my opinion. The front seat or non wheel seats enhance The Beast, but I don't think it's all that great IMO. I do have respect. Voyage, yes is rough this year. Last year, though, I could sit anywhere. This year...back car front bench, or front seat...no where else lol! I can see what you mean. On Diamondback it's always a fun ride wherever you sit. But yes, it's much more fun in the very back or very front.
  21. Unfortunatly many of those themes were lost to a company that wanted to advertise itself through naming rides after poor movies. I am happy to see CF try and get back to KI's roots of what made it a great park and not an advertising mecca. Also: how can you possibly compare Disney to a seasonal park? So I'm guessing Top Gun, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, and The Italian Job were poor movies? And I wasn't comparing Disney to a seasonal park. I was pointing out how Disney delivers great thrills and great theming. EDIT: You know what, how about we all forget about this big "theming" argument. Let's just listen to CincyMan98 and be happy with what kind rides we DO have. I apoligize for starting this thread. I just didn't know it would be a huge argument! Let's all just get back on topic of this thread, and ACTUALLY talk about what company or companies shall own KI in the future.
  22. When was Kings Island ever based on theme? umm... Paramount!
  23. I agree, I liked Kings Island a lot better when it was based on theme and less on as mentioned above "ride mecca" If only there was a company that delivered great thrilling rides and great theming at the same time. cough cough disney cough cough.
  24. ^NO! stop the business talk before or you'll bring too many gamevance ads!
