  1. I love the FOF pre-show. Even If I've watched it a hundred times it still entertains and it makes the line move faster. I like the part where they show the "HANGAR CAMERA" and it shows the que line. It's also funny when the scientist says to all the news reporters. "This flying saucer business is all but a ridiculous hoax pulled by a local amusement park and a publicity stunt for their latest attraction." Also I have a question about FOF. Does it have two trains or three? Or did it used to have three? Cause last time I checked I only saw trains 2 and 3. I love when the turnstiles are not open, and they say: "There are people in the hangar!" Then it shows the hangar with nobody in it. Ya I love when that happens.

  3. I'm curious... Did you visit KI prior to, say, 1988? No, by "good ol' days at KI," I actually meant "PKI." My mistake. Trust me, the good 'ol days were from 1972 - 1988 or so. That's not meant to negate the good strides Paramount and CF made. However the earliest decades of KI are the ones most look upon with sincere fondness - mostly due to the awe factor the park held. KI was THE park duing that timeframe... it was hands down the best regional theme park in the nation. The late 1980s- 1990's saw the park's determination to be the best fade IMo, and it's been playing catch up since. However, I have faith and believe the park may have more glory days ahead. I think I mislead everybody. Since I grew up going to KI when Paramount owned it. I meant the "good ol' days" as when Paramount owned it. Now I'm no therapist or anything but I think the reason I think of the Paramount days as "the good ol' days" is because I became accustomed to when Paramount owned it.
  4. There both in the woods lol but The Beast has no airtime. Not necessarily, the hill after the first turn on The Beast provides plenty of airtime. EDIT: timestamp fail!
  5. Top 5 in order: Maverick Top Thrill Dragster Millenium Force Raptor Wicked Twister
  6. Are the lights also on in Flight of Fear!?!?
  7. Yeah me to, I'm kinda bummed when the end of the season nears by. But there always next year!
  8. O yes, Halloween Haunt, the post season to coaster season. Hey! I should put that on my signature! EDIT: I just did...
  9. ^ Or my head getting the crap beaten out of it! BF389...who can't wait to be tall enough for my head to be above the OTSR's on Vortex and eliminate the head banging once and for all...
  10. Oh, so you mean the drop out of the station? I love that part! Coaster, being an a#% To be honest, I actually did get a litttle airtime on the drop out of the station!
  11. Hold on there, we all know what happened last time someone tried to make a wooden rollercoaster "bigger"...
  12. Come on, we all know that Mean Streak isn't popular. Nobody comes to Cedar Point for Mean Streak. When I was at Cedar Point on 7-12-10, my friend and I literally WALKED ON. After we walked from the entrance of the que to the station the gates opened and we walked right on the ride. There were probably only ten people in station.
  13. They could maybe remove Mean Streak and the Lighthouse Point Resort for a whole a new section of the park. And your right, they do have a lot of the peninsula as just resorts. I'm not really a Cedar Point expert so I might be wrong but maybe the Light House Point isn't that popular and not many people go to it. But we all know that Mean Streak isn't very popular and that could be removed for expansion or a coaster.
  14. Hello, WELCOME! to KI Central.

  15. Dang! Nice pic! Anyway, the object falling seems to look like a big piece of chipped and rusted paint...
  16. I know right, it's really hard to adjust your seat to a comfortable position. And do all Standup coasters have a low capacity? because the Mantis line seemed to move EXTREMELY slow when i was there on 7/11/10 and 7/12/10.
  17. Also, another reason stand-ups suck is because you have to STAND UP, hence the name. Standing up sounds like it would be an amazing experience on a roller coaster but it's just not. And after the ride your legs are really sore. Before I rode Mantis, I was wanting KI to build a stand up but now I don't. Now I'd much, MUCH rather have them build a Dive Machine.
  18. I have an idea! how about we type in "Kings Island" to google AND CLICK ON THE FIRST LINK! Come on people, getting to their website isn't that hard!
  19. Let's talk about what kind of coaster CP would build if they were going to build another one. They already have an invert, stand up, hyper, giga, strata, LSM, bobsled, impulse shuttle, suspended, mine train, out and back woodie, twister woodie, hybrid racing, arrow corckscrew, and steel wild mouse. I could see CP demolishing Mean Streak and putting GCI, GG or an Intamin woodie right there. Besides Blue Streak, CP needs a really good woodie.
  20. A floorless would also be legit. Just NOT a stand-up coaster. There not as fun as they sound. I remember when I was dying to ride Mantis (because it was a stand-up and at that time I've never ridden one) at Cedar Point. Then when I got off I was really dissapointed. Although, that's the only stand-up I've ridden so far and it might just be Mantis that's not that exciting.
  21. Yeah that is highly unlikely but we can dream right? If we get something from B&M in the next 2 or 3 years I'm much rooting a Dive Machine than an Invert. Not that I'm an Invert hater. A Dive Machine just seems a lot more innovative than an Invert. And hey, Sheikra only cost a little more than half of what DB cost.
  22. I agree, the experience of my first time riding SkyHawk at Cedar Point, it was like no other! Screamin Swings are now my favorite type of flat ride now.
  23. A lot of times I'll just ride AE just to check if there doing anything with SOB. The ride gives you a great view of the SOB.
  24. According to Coaster Gallery it says, "A few flat rides had to be moved to make room for Dragster. Also, the Paddlewheel Excursion boat ride had to be altered slightly." http://www.coastergallery.com/CP/108.html
