Just get on em and ride. Took a long time but my wife finally did it this year and was mad at herself for missing out on the fun all her life, lol. Start small and work your way up, she started on Woodstock and enjoyed it. After her first Stunt Coaster ride (of 4 that day) she was hooked and jumped right on Beast. I have yet to get her on anything with an Inversion or DB. That will happen soon though. I suggest taking a friend or family member along as well. Makes you feel better having someone you trust/care about along with you. If no one will ride with you, post in the upcoming visits before your trip, I'm sure someone, if not several someone's, will be happy to ride with ya.

Oh, interesting. Thanks for the reply. Now I will judge all those people I always see eating in the parking lot! Why in the world would you sit in a baking hot parking lot eating pb and j out the trunk of your car when you could just leave and go to an air conditioned restaurant?? a. Some people don't want to miss an extra minute in the park, and can't afford to eat inside or choose not to. Some cannot even afford to eat outside the park, but have chosen to use what they do have to go to Kings Island. b. Some people prefer their own food to that cooked/prepared by others. c. Some people have food allergies, etc., and must be very, very careful what they eat, and know they can find what they can eat when they bring it themselves. d. Some people like eating in a parking lot out of a cooler. Some of my fondest memories are of what we didn't even know yet could be called tailgating at drive in theaters...my family could not afford to eat out of the concession stand, but we could afford tickets several times a season...or we could have bought the drive in theater food and gone once a season. I am glad my family picked the first of those options. Just some thoughts... As for the judging of the people in the parking lots...I really try not to do that...there is a wise saying..."Never judge a person until you have walked a mile in her moccasins." We know not why they do what they do, and in this case they certainly aren't hurting others...though I get a little tired of the trash all too many of them dispose of by either leaving it in the parking lot or actively throwing it there. You read my mind, very well put

There are new HW billboards EVERYWHERE here in Elizabethtown, KY. Never hear much about Beech Bend. I would only go there to watch some racing on the 1/4 mile track. Everything I have seen gives me the feeling that the park itself is just a large carnival and I can't stomach much in the way of rides at those sadly.

Coasting for Kids is coming to Kings Island July 29th

"Event is limited to the first 60 fundraisers that register." I wonder how many people are registered? -
Should we blame it on it's age or our ages?...hahaha I think it's a 50/50 split, lol. As for the building, it should remain forever. I would go with our age.... Every year the rides get rougher and rougher.... the rides are maintained very well... i cant say that about our bodies... haha LOL. That is very true.

May have to check it out sometime, cause the one down here, sucks, big time. I HATE bland tasteless Burgers when I am at place that is supposed to have some of the best around.

When we go, we take enough money to eat when needed, etc. We eat a good breakfast before arriving, have the big fries or something similar for lunch and then eat dinner somewhere. I enjoyed the food at the diner near Vortex. Everything I have had there was far from slop. Really, if people do not think of McDonalds and most other fast food as slop they have no taste buds, lol. So if we were to leave the park it would NOT be for fast food for McDs or americanized mexican food It would be from a decent restaurant, and last I checked those are not cheap either.

The comments they receive on their FB page kill me. I'm amazed at the number of people that appear to "like" the page just they can complain and make ignorant comments. Especially the morons that always leave "Disney is better", lol. I wish the bridge that houses the worlds trolls would collapse.

Yes, I noticed it is a little more rough than it was in 87, lol.

Put me on that list as well. Rode it with a friend ( her first ride on it) last time I was there and she loved it. We were the only two people on a packed train to respond when asked how was your ride, lol.

Sadly the only thing I get from rides like Delirium is a headache, all day nausea, and a protein discharge Sad really cause I have to avoid some cool looking rides.

Wouldn't doubt if people have done it in the past. I can imagine the penalties for getting caught would not be fun at all.
-
Yeah, but my couch won't move around on it's own, lol.

Maybe it will keep people out of them. I'm not a fan of the leathery women those things create, lol. -
THANK YOU! Learn something every day

Actually if you do some research on Coaster accidents/deaths you will see a few them are in fact due to a person standing up and being thrown from the ride. The world is FILLED with dumb people. Why do you think we have so many warning labels in this country, lol. Every time I ride with the wife I tell her "Don't stand up", lol. Thats funny, My ex-wife I used to say " stand up honey it will enhance your ride experience " Wow. Glad I am home alone cause the wife would want to know why I was laughing so hard

Cool story, thanks for sharing. This summer was my first time on The Beast since 87. I only rode it once back then so it was like riding it for the first time. I loved it and my second time on it was the first for my son and he LOVED it. He was just like you on the second lift hill, he looked around like "what in the world?" Being "lost in the woods" is one of the best parts of the ride. It's like you are no where near an amusement park

Looking forward to the PTR. The wife is wanting to move to Florida this fall. -
Kroger here normally has them all season. We went last August with the $24 tickets.
-
I can get them at my local (Elizabethtown, KY) Kroger stores and Wendy's has a sign saying they have $25 off tickets.
