I'm Jonathan. And that's that.

I used to be a frequent visitor to Kings Island from 2010 until COVID, and an occasional traveler to other amusement parks. Around the time of COVID, I stopped getting the adrenaline rushes I used to from roller coasters and most thrill rides (aside from Xtreme Skyflyer), ironically because I had learned too much about the safety engineering behind them and as a result no longer felt "unsafe" on them. (Did you know that thrill rides rely on creating a feeling of unsafety, while at the same time being completely safe, to create that thrill or adrenaline rush you know and love?)

So after the 2022 season, I stopped renewing my season pass and pursued other adrenaline rushes, eventually ending up addicted to whitewater kayaking. These days, I'm a lurker here and in the Facebook season passholders group, without actually having a season pass.

Coaster rankings used to be listed here but were removed years ago, because out of laziness I hadn't updated them since June 2012. However, you can check out an unranked-but-up-to-date list of what I've ridden, or the same list sorted by the order I rode them in. (Note that for 2012 and earlier, coasters with the same ride date might be out of order with respect to each other. Dates should be accurate, though, aside from the first ones that I rode in my childhood, which I can't place better than "mid-1990s". But the order is probably still correct on those.)
