I agree with you and I edited my first post. God knows I've posted enough here while the park is closed. I sit corrected! -
Puppet the Psycho Dwarf Appearances for Friday

With respect to your comment, if you don't care, why comment? Advertising shoots cost a great deal of money. I have no problem with saving a few bucks here and there. -and- The only ones that really notice that the commercial was not on KI property are enthusiasts. Does it really matter where the comercial was done? Well, early in the season there was a commercial for KI that showed a Ferris Wheel. Now if a tourist passing through saw that and went to KI expecting to ride it, don't you think they'd be a little upset? Also, If someone was looking to ride an inverted coaster with a loop and see this commercial they're going to be disappointed. I call it false advertising. Thanks Phantom Theater for the Knotts heads up, I'm very uneducated on other parks. -

BoddaH1994 I gotta be honest with you. I'm about 100 miles past caring one way or another about this whole midget wrestling thing. I hope others here agree. I really enjoy your site, but..... Child PLEASE!!!!! To avoid further outrage I'm changing the previous statement: Thanks BoddaH1994 for the headsup aboout Puppet's media blitz. I hope this show brings a great deal of success and dollars to KI. I'm also excited about the hopefully soon to come spirited debate that I'm sure this show will provide. Does anyone have any concerns about the type of people a midget wrestling show will bring to KI? Also what might happen outside the Festhaus between the shows? Just curious. Why is there not one comment about the fact that the Ki Haunt commercials airing here in Cincy feature what looks like Mean Streak and Raptor? Can CF not bother to actually friggin shoot a KI commercial at KI!!!! -
Must be talking about Cutthroat Cove. Just a guess.
-
You refered to "Inflated Battle" about Midget Wrestling!...... That's Funny! I agree with you completely. Notice the voice of reason from a 14 year old....Well done.
-
Browntggrr, Much ongoing respect and agreement for your point of view. Thanx for the reference! " I just love reading my name in print" News Carver from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Personally, I started making snarky posts about 13 pages ago because it seemed WAY to many people had very over inflated views about how important their opinion was about a midget wrestling show. I believe someone actually retorted something to the effect "some of us here are very important people" GET OVER YOURSELVES! KI is NOT a nonprofit. and if they can put more asses (that's just a donkey reference if any youngins are reading) in the Festhaus seats than Gouls Gone Wild can, and charge 10 bucks for prime real estate, guess what my fellow KI freaks..... They're gonna DO IT!!! A current employee admitted here that the quality of the guests at KI has gone down, and they are becomming more beligerent and rude. This started before HPB was even announced. Friday 7:00 My wife and I will be at KI. Are you all gonna come out and have a great time, or sit at home and "protest" that KI is no longer the Brady Bunch park? By the way, there were reports that during filming, guests got really angry about the Brady kids repeatedly CUTTING LINE! Proof that trashy people have been patronizing KI for years.
-
Well put, I agree completely! I also always hope that if any situations do raise their ugly head that there are more of us than there are of them. If not, I hope we are at least bigger than them! We'll find out Friday.

Windshawne, much respect to you for your honesty, Ron White couldn't put it better. Wouldn't you say that, unfortunately this is just the direction our country is going as a whole? Politicians from both parties and people everywhere are doing, saying and behaving in ways that couldn't have been conceived of back when the Brady's were running around our park, trying to get that friggin' drawing to dad. I agree that it's not a good direction to go, but what's the realistic alternative for KI? I don't know either. "I'm Drowning.... and your describing the water!" Jack Nicholson, As Good As it Gets

Gibson74/Windshawne, We seem to be getting to a broader subject than midgets abusing office supplies. Windshawne has basically said enough with the beligerent park guests. Gibson74 has referred to KI's decisionS (emphasis on plural) to attract a less than pleasant crowd. These violent midgets haven't even started bleeding! So I wonder, what things has KI done that has degraded the quality of the guests? Did it start with Kneivel? What has happened since, remember I'm new here so I am admittedly ignorant on Cedar Fair's past guest relations decisions. Don't get me wrong, if we could fill the park just with what seems to be the intelligent posters here, I would love it. I actually saw one moronic family take 2 four year olds AND a BABY on the Tombstone Terror Train saturday night! Unfortunately, I don't think KI will institute an IQ test with park admission. So Windshawne, as an employee, please tell me what is the cure to minimize offensive, moronic park guests?

74 Gibson, Thanks for the welcome. This is my first haunt and first year living in Cincinnati and I, like you really care about KI. I've been to the Haunt Friday, Saturday and Hallowfest yesterday. My wife and I have felt completely safe the whole time and we are going back next weekend with no concerns about bloody wrestling midget watchers. Security was everywhere and the only thing I have ever seen at KI were guests just having a great time. We, like you believe this promotion/activity is in bad taste, but our protest will be not going to the Festhaus during the show. I will be willing to bet management will be keeping a close eye on how many people attend and stay for the whole show. Also, It has been pointed out to me in an earlier post that there are some very important KI people on this site. So isn't it a more effective protest for us to let KI know our displeasure at their decission by our posts on this site and not attending the show? I just hate to see people miss the whole haunt to make a protest that, by gate numbers, KI will honestly not notice. I have been imploring people to go to the park have the blast that's available, and just boycott the show. On a couple of other threads, visitors are trashing Wolf Pack as a very weak Haunt, as a result, my wife and I have decided to not go through it. I'm sure these complaints have been brought to the attention of management, and if enough people complain it probably won't return. So, isn't this a more effective form of protest? There have been people at the beginning of every haunt we've been through with counters and I'm sure there will be at HPB. So, hopefully the lack of numbers in the Festhaus will make our point. Lets hope. We had a wonderful weekend, and plan to have 4 more, weather permitting, I hope all the readers do the same.

It's covered up during the day. You shouldn't miss it at night! Hint: It's on the right...Boo! Thanks for the explanation Tombraider Ty! I couldn't figure out what the initials on the tombstones meant.

Toyota bought the park yesterday and KI let them stay through the Haunt last night, so ther was no Wall of Monsters. An employee said he's NEVER seen it as crowded as it was last night. We got to go through Carnevil, by far my favorite haunt. The colors, decorations and scareactors were fantastic, and the effect at the end was mind blowing for a non-permanent haunt. 10 out of 10 Well done KI!!! Also did Tombstone Terror-tory 8 out of 10. Really enjoyed it for first timers. We couldn't stop laughing at "Lost your Head? listen for it, classic! Two notes that I didn't think needed to be written to first timers, but here it goes: It's not a good idea to bring 2 yes 2 four year olds on the Tombstone Train. Also it's not a good idea to bring a BABY on the Tombstone Train! Believe it or not this happened and it WAS THE SAME GROUP!!!!! Instead of putting away for a college fund, these "Parents" (I use the term loosely) should start putting money away for therapy. Lastly, the train ride is NOT the same train ride that runs during the day! There was an elderly couple in front of us that when we got off to start the haunt, had no idea it was a Haunt. The Scareactors seemed to realize this and was very gentle with them. Well Done KI workers, You all are fantastic at your jobs!

My wife and I made our first visit to KI Haunt last night and WOW!!! What an incredible night! The Moon was full and like it was planned, the weather started to cool down. We rode all the coasters after dark which was a completely different experience and the lines were pleasantly short. Adventure Express in the dark, surprisingly fun. So many great experiences but I'll stop blathering and get to my topic idea. We wondered today if there is anywhere on KIC that has the haunts rated by level of intensity. It's a given that they are all going to be well done. but what are the different levels of intensity? The only haunt we went through was Cutthroat Cove. Very well done and entertaining but not terrifying. So I'd say a 5 out of 10 on an intensometer Lets not give any surprises away, but maybe we can tease readers who haven't gone yet, Like: Didn't you all love that new thing they added on The Beast!!!! Here's the Haunts as they're listed on the map not my personal preference, Whats your vote: 1 Wolf Pack 2 Corn Stalkers 3 Club Blood 4 Massacre Manor 5 Death Row 6 Trail of Terror 7 Urgent Scare 8 Cutthroat Cove 9 Slaughterhouse 10 Cemetary Drive 11 Tombstone Terror-tory 12 Carnevil Have at it...... Boo!

Upcharge attractions aren't the only way to make money... If this show is as marketable as I believe it will be, Kings Island's Halloween Haunt will have record attendance. The main thing we disagree on are the risks of something dangerous happening in the park... And thats all right. Snowman, don't forget that Browntggrr and I were both 50/50 contributers towards the "argument," each using our own respectable viewpoints... The same viewpoints that have KICentral split, as it appears, half and half. Now, anyone can read why some people have a different opinion than their own, thus receiving a "deeper understanding" of the issue. Edit: Also, I really love that quote. Thank you! Coney, I think both you and Browntggrr have very eloquently stated your cases on this issue, and the lively debate has been truly entertaining to read. I am also very impressed at your wordsmithing abilities at the age of 15. Much Respect! My only issue is people saying they aren't going to go to KI at all because of this show. That's sad, and also the reason I have been making jokes about it. Not to crap on anyone's point of view, but hopefully to convince people to go, have an incredible time, and either watch the show or not. I trust KI's security and employees to provide a safe place for all of us to have a great time just like they have all season long. If I see any drunken louts staggering around with a staplegun......I'm gonna RUN!!!!

Puppet the Psycho Dwarf Addresses the KICentral Universe
Snowman replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I was corrected on another thread, the HPB's don't perform until Oct 1st. I don't think anyone was actually criticizing the performers, there mainly seems to be some serious concerns about the kind of crowd this show will draw to the park, and how that crowd will behave outside after the show. I hope the jokes I have made were not taken personally, especially by Puppet! He look like he could deliver a miniature tail whuppin' on me like I've never seen. See Puppet.... Just jokes... I swear.... Nothin' personal..... I have a lot of respect for what you guys do........I must say, that's a great outfit your wearing.... No one could pull that off quite as well as you.... PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!!!!!!!!!! -
Rumor Smasher: Also for the "attendance" comment, It starts adding up on who's not going, If you go through the pages, and see who's not going you will realize some of us are rather important to KI. I would sincerely hope that we are ALL important to KI. I have tried to be light hearted about this, but lets take a brief look at your statement: Going through the now 16 pages on this thread, not counting the many multiposts (of which I am one of the guilty leaders of the pack!) there have been 235 replies. So, lets say a very friendly estimate of stated KI boycotters is 50. So far 5,871 KI fans have viewed this thread. and well less then 235 thought enough to reply. Which I am assuming means they don't care about it enough one way or the other to post, or they just wanted to get back over to cincyjungle.com (GO BENGALS!!!) Now, lets say that of the 5,871 readers, 871 of them were incensed enough by the passions expressed here to boycott the abuses that will be ravaged on unsuspecting office supplies. That still leaves 5,000 readers that are going to go. There definately seems to be some well connected KI employees and in-the-know dignitaries here. That's undeniable, but honestly, have you ever watched the front gates when KI is busy? It really doesn't take long for 5,871 people to pass through the turnstyles. Deducting 921 people from that isn't exactly going to bankrupt them. I don't think it would matter if you actually have pictures of the owners doing terrible things with office supplies. Numbers is numbers. BOO!!!!!!!
-
When did I do that? My mistake and please accept my apology for the brainfart. I should have referred to Browntggrr's posts on page 15 Whoops!
-
I know I'm new to this site (my small post numbers will back that up) and I've made some snarky posts that I truly hope didn't offend anyone because they were meant simply in the KI spirit of good fun. I have to say the de-evolution of this thread in sixteen pages is getting to be sad. Kirk, you are clearly passionate about the craft of putting on a wrestling show and I agree with most everything you have said even though I'm personally not going to watch it. I have to ask you though, why in the world are you debating the effects of embibing too many inebriating libations with a 15 year old? Clearly an intelligent one but still, a 15 year old who hopefully won't personally know the effects for another 5 plus years. After everything said, it's still going down tonite. Great coasters, creepy goblins, bloody midgets with memos properly secured to their face with office supplies, and hopefully one helluva good time. To everyone who has stated their not going in protest or fear of this event. Do you really think KI is going to notice your lack of attendence? I'm betting they won't, so all that is lost by your not coming, is you having a good time. I don't get that. Like George Carlin ( he was a legendary comedian, Coney) said to a pastor who tried to stop his performance, "If you don't like what's on TV there's (used to be) 2 nobs, one turns it off, and the other..... changes the channel! See ya'll tonite......BOO!
-
Cheater! You don't list your age in your profile!!! Oh well, age is just a frame of mind anyway, huh? Correction, It was Vincent Guaraldi not Grimaldi. I guess the Kidneys are the first thing to go.... Ain't that what controls your memory?
-
URGH! I love how people who have absolutely no first hand knowledge of this continue to weigh in with bad information. Please see my above post for the correction on this statement. Kirk, will you clear this up for me: When wrestling midgets want to hit each other with a chair, do they use regular chairs or high chairs?
-
Wow, good job impressing an Old Fart! Thank You. Do you know if full length versions of the peanuts songs exist, or did they just loop the track that's on this video? You crazy kids are really impressive with all this technical computeratin' ya'll do........ Now Get off my lawn!
-
I know I'm showing my age but I loved the music they played during the Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular. The remakes of the old Vincent Grimaldi peanuts tunes like Linus and Lucy was great! Does anyone know if those tracks are available anywhere?

Thanks. I think a little levity is always important. We're 3 days away from what should be for the most part a really good time. This is my first haunt and I can't wait to experience mostly everything. My wife is nervous about how intense the different haunts are going to be. We're both having coaster withdrawals, and we don't know how we're going to make it through 5 months of winter. So we're planning to make the most of our last few weekends of thrills ( and judging by the weather forecast, CHILLS!!) Luckily this spectacle will be in the Festhaus and not in the front mall where the ring is set up, so we can choose to watch it or not, (we won't) and as far as any trouble makers lurking around between shows looking for some vertically challenged butts to kick; I hope there are more of us people who are looking to just have a good time than there are of them. However, if anyone sees a PBR carrying, trashy (I didn't use the word "white".... 'cuz I ain't a racist) troublemaker carrying a staplegun, with the look of midget bloodlust in their beedy eyes, following anyone that is under 5 feet tall around, lets band together and protect our bretheren. ( and all those innocent office supplies!) Or at least let security know! Are ya'll ready?........BOO!!!
-
There are people getting disemboweled in Urgent Scare. I don't think they allow that at Kings Island, either. Shut it down! I sincerely hope people aren't REALLY getting disembowled at this thing! The midgets are REALLY BLEEDING, and using office equipment in ways that aren't recommended! Talk about a tough job interview: "So... the job is you'll be dressing up in a Halloween costume and acting like a patient in a haunted maze... pays a little better than minimum wage....How does that sound?"... "Ok I guess".... "Great you can get started this weekend, we have some paperwork for you to fill out.....one other thing, How do you feel about REALLY being disembowled?".... "Changed your mind huh.... Ok, how 'bout letting a midget staplegun your forhead until you really bleed?..... No.... wait..... come back!!!"
-
Beatle, I see your point. Going to a "Family Friendly" Amusement Park see REAL blood pouring out of scantily clad, violent, angry midgets who use unsuspecting office supplies to administer pain for the entertainment of drunken bar patrons, (it definately ain't Chuckee Cheese in the video!) definately shouldn't be labeled just as a "White" thing. It should be ridiculed by all ages, sexes, races, creeds, and religous preferences! Thanks for pointing that out. Trashy entertainment isn't just for white people anymore!
