Saw testing today! It wasn't at the top of the tower which was weird, but at about halfway up it was spinning and at full speed. The seats were fully extended out. Also, all test dummies had been removed from the seats. Just thought I'd share!

Not to be a downer (and i'm not just saying it to bring it up), but something just feels incomplete about the park with Son of Beast sitting there. I love the park just as much as the rest of you, but unlike most it really bugs me to see it sitting there. My dream season? Take 2001 and add Diamondback and you might have the best Kings Island I could ever imagine! Son of Beast at 100%, King Cobra, and Phantom Theater? No question

Just in case anyone is wondering, the run went well enough! The courses got a little mixed up and I ended up running a 12K, but in the end it was worth it. I even got a picture with someone you all know!

I'm running the A Kid Again 10k tomorrow at the park. i was checking out the course and the map is incredibly detailed. All the dinosaur locations in DA!, Action theater line layout, SoB is on it (with it's loop?), quite an interesting look at what is physically in the park. They didn't leave anything out. New entrance to FD is there from Club Blood. During haunt, FD's entrance is used for both, and they split the line up using that sign. Apparently they decided to leave it up this year. But as you'll notice, not much that was done for Haunt in that area has been undone.

Seems like a cool way to see some hidden parts of the park... for a good cause too!

Just wondering if anyone has done this before? I was thinking about trying it out this year!

Thanks! My Sister lost her pass from last year so we couldn't do it online, but I'm always willing to drive down to the park. They were able to look her up so we still got the reduced price. I also managed to snag a park map a little early

The ride was shut down voluntarily by the park, after being cleared by the state to run again. As stated in the article above, they cannot legally operate it this year without a permit through the city of Mason. So unless they make a quick decision to open it and obtain a permit, no SoB this year

Not to revive a dead thread too much, but I was planning on taking my sister down later to get her pass and I was just wondering, where should i park?

Umm, is it just me, or in my 18 years of riding Adventure Express have i just missed that drop at the end? I'm personally not a big fan of this map. The old style I found to be more detailed, and some things were more to scale. Also, in perfect Cedar Fair style, there is not one tree on the map. The old style wasn't perfect, but better than this in my opinion.

Oh didn't you know? They are now contemplating an upcharge on The Racer for the view. ;-) Not to mention the view from that new 301 foot pole in the ground

Instead of paying, I think I will enjoy this new attraction from a nice comfortable seat on The Racer

I don't know how no one responded to this, but from the looks of it, I'd have to completely agree. That appears to be the exact same T-rex. Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit confirmed? We'll see. Also, great first post!
