Vortex has been open for about a week now!

Yes we know Vortex was closed on those dates. Vortex has been closed since July 2nd, cause of the chain breaking. They got it fixed this week, and today is the first day of operation for Vortex since that day!

I see the ride running on the time laps webcam on wxix.com, but does anyone know if the ride is open?

If your talking about the metal guide the runs the entire length of the lift, then I know parts of it was damanged from the chain breaking!

Things like this doesn't not happen at KI, or CP. I don't understand what they mean in that statement! “When you think about as many years as the park has been around, things like this don’t happen very often. Im sorry if this is going to sound rude, but it should have been common sense that you weren't allowed to use your phone while on the ride.

It also appears that the guide that the chain runs in has been damaged too, so who knows what all they need to do to get Vortex back up and running!

Yes it opened in 1989!

The chain has not been replaced yet! The chain is missing from about the middle of the lift to the top, and on the return run that runs on the bottom of the main lift! I'm wondering if they are waiting on a new chain to arrive! I'm hoping its back up and running by next Saturday!

They probably took the stickers off, cause people couldn't keep there hands off of them. It's because other people can't leave stuff alone that reunions it for everyone else!

When the park is dead I see no problems with reriding, however when the park is busy, and they rides have a wait then reriding should not be allowed!

Parmount used to have early ride times. They would have a schedule and cetrain area's of the park would open early for Gold Pass Holders. (Action Zone early ride times, Coney Mall early ride times, etc)

Kings Island's Security is a JOKE. The Metal Dectors are only used during Haunt.

I heard Vortex broke it's lift chain! Hopefully it will be fixed and up and running soon! I'm a BIG fan of Vortex!

Yep and those seat belts showed up on Vortex and Flight Deck in 2008, I think that is when Adventure Express got seat belts too. Cedar Fair is the Seat Belt capital of the world!

same here, I used to write papers about KI back when I was in High School in the late 90's.

That is too much. I would never shell out that kind of money just on Food. I would have left the park and went to MCD or any of the other fast food chains around the park, I'm sorry you blew that kind of money at KI for food, that is way too much!
