  1. Yeah they are no way to view on ride photos on the internet.
  2. Timberwolf was there in that picture, also yes the picture was when the ride was named Amazon Falls. I still miss that name.
  3. And they didn't even start with Daily Operation till the end of May! Daily Operation starts May 11th this year, so really it ends up to be the same amount of time!
  4. 1987 was the first year for me to ever visit Kings Island. Also anyone else notice the Operating Calander? Open till 11pm even during Pre and Post Season Saturdays, and 10pm every other day!
  5. Yep, that's actually what they are doing!
  6. Actually they used to have Mexian food over by WWC, where they now serve Worlds Greatest Funnel Cakes. It was called Taco Canteen or something long those lines!
  7. I beleive this will be a GREAT year for Cedar Fair!
  8. Yes Skylab was removed during the 1992 season, I heard they had to ship parts back to Germany to get repaired, however Skylab did return early summer of 1993.
  9. Tomb Raider has not been gone for 7 years. The ride wasn't renamed The Crypt until the 2008 season.
  10. Witches Wheel is not the same model of enterprise that Skylab was. Skylab had much bigger cars then what Witches Wheel as Cedar Point has.
  11. Yes the picture of Vortex being repainted was indeed 2001, I was apart of The Vortex/Action Theater crew in 2001.
  12. That's actually funny, that what Kings Island said about Face/Off when it opened in '99. Scream your face off on Face/Off.
  13. Yes I know they didn't have extra paint from Dorney Park, I was making a joke.
  14. They must have had left over paint from Dorney Park, it looks just like Stinger the old Invertigo from CGA, that is now at Dorney Park!
  15. King Cobra was put in before Paramount owned the park. The colors mimic those of the coaster's namesake: However Paramount was the one who repainted King Cobra, and Shockwave. So Paramount is the one who had a thing for different colored rails. King Cobra's orginal colors was Yellow Rails, with Green supports and spine!
  16. Wasn't one of them in the Cinema 180 Theater building, I want to think it was Star Trek!
  17. Vortex was the Coaster that started it all for me. I rode it opening year, when I was only 7 years old, back in 1987.
  18. How I miss Skylab, that was a great ride!
  19. I didnt think the yellow paint on the front car and back cars didn't appear till a few month's after that Friday night when SOB operated for a few hours, and then shut down for 15 days for repairs.
  20. The Park opens On April 28th which is a Saturday!
  21. Yep that was the exit to Vortex. It used to be an actual path, up until Action Theater opened in 1994. I remember waiting in very long lines like that to Vortex, it used to snake down to Skyline in Coney Mall.
  22. My guess would be 1992. It looks to be anniversary banners up below international restruant!
  23. This was a great tread. It was really interesting to see how much the park has changed since 1974. Thanks again!
  24. I would take a guess and say the park will open on Saturday, April 28th 2012. And if the Crypt goes bye bye, I would say it's no big loss, the ride is horrible from what it used to be!
