  1. King Cobra closed end of 2000, Delirium opened 2003- two full seasons in-between with empty space. Bat closed sometime in 1982, Vortex opened 1987- a bit more than four full seasons. Wrong...King Cobra's last season was 2001.

    Backwards Racer

I wish... I also miss the backwards racer. But I have a feeling that this wasn't all Cedar Fairs fault. If the rumors are true about PTC not recommending running there trains backwards this is why we no longer have Racer Backwards. Also I had the chance to ride American Eagle backwards at Six Flags Great America, back in 2004, AE no longer goes backwards either.
  3. FoF never runs 3 trains anymore. They only run 2 trains as of the 2001 season when the trains were converted over to lap bars.
  4. I think they will go by how tall he is at the time the pass is renewed so if he's less then 48 inches now even just barely you should be able to get him a junior platinum pass for 2010.
  5. They replaced the all the wheels on the trains. So the Roar is not much of a roar anymore. For the one who said that the roar was different from train to train, it was because the train that had the loudest roar didnt get the wheels replaced yet.
  6. It was the 1,200 ride. I was in the second car at the time, he was part of my group. And he was just one of those KI fans that just happened to pay 40 dollars just to come to the park last night. How cool is that?
  7. What a great night at Pride Night this year. I had a blast. Opened the night with Diamondback and ended the night with Diamondback. Got 6 total DB rides tonight. I also rode every other coaster in the park several times. Plus took a Drop Tower, Delirium and a Skylfier Ride. Oh What a night. I'll defiantly be at pride night in 2010.
  8. T-Mins 3 days and counting. Friday should be a great evening. Weather looks as if it will hold out.
  9. KI has no communication what so ever. I found this out yesterday.
  10. I just got my pride night ticket I'll be there. Ride on!
  11. Why wouldn't you be able to ride SR&R. And that means Shake Rattle and Roll to the one who asked.
  12. Probably worked for Kings Island's QTV. Well considering they don't even have QTV anymore, I take that as a no.
  13. Looks as if Planet Snoopy will be coming to KI as well. I can almost betcha.
  14. 7-1 for me too. I love 7-1 and always ride in this row. I will do 1-1 from time to time. And I can't stand the back seats of arrow loopers, no leg room what so ever.
  15. I like going up the lift backwards first, I like the hang time.
  16. I would definitely say DB and The Beast. I like on DB when they say on the mic, "enjoy going up and down through rivertown"...They even said once, "don't forget to say hi to The Crypt" It was funny.
  17. I prefer going to a real Skyline, not only that it taste better, but looks better, and you get more for you buck...
  18. Which picture is the one with the dude breaking the rule? When you click on the link it just brings up all your pics? Am I missing something?
  19. I've been out of the country, I've been to Canada's Wonderland.
  20. Yes I also recall it being an easy night to close. And your right, the park was spotless.
  21. I have been thinking about going this year. I worked Pride Night from 1999 thru 2001, and visited as a guest in 2002. Haven't been back to a Pride Night since 02. So it's time I go back, as the money does go to a good cause. I'm hoping I can get someone to join me.
  22. WWC hasn't had the Velcro style seat belts for quite a few years. It has a standered belt now, however the part of the belt that the buckle is attached to is stretchy.
  23. Ummm that isn't The Bat, that is for sure The Vortex. Notice Flight Commander is in that pic. And yes The Racer used to have another dip before you would hit the break. The former forwards side was the first side to see the change in 1996, then the former backwards side saw the change in 1997.
  24. They used to be trims at the top of the second hill dropping down into the rose bowl. But not sure if those new trains could handle that or not.
