I just got 3 tickets, for myself, my mom, and my nephew. We will be there. My nephew is 9, and has really become a coaster freak this year, all because of his uncle. He will really enjoy this. I can't wait.
More like complain about High Food and Drink prices at KI. I went to The Beach Waterpark on July 5th, and they were running specials throughout the day. We took advantage of them. We got a cheeseburger, fries and a 22 ounce drink for only 2.50. We got 3 meals and it was only $7.99. However yesterday at KI the same thing cost $37.00 for 3 of us, and the quality left much to be desired.
Kings Mills Flume is still there, its Wild Tornberry's River Adventure now. However much of flume track was replaced when the ride was refurbished. I believe the Station and drops are the only original flume track that remains.
Don't forget KI still has 3 coasters operating that were from Arrow. Flight Deck, Adventure Express and Vortex.
Actually under the current policy, people in wheel chairs wait just as long to get on the ride. They must get a time to come back to ride. And they can not get another time till after the current time expires.
I wonder why they never replaced the signs they used to have that would state that. They obviouslly took them down cause it said Line Jumping is not a sporting event at Paramount's Kings Island.
That is true, the difference between a 2 train operation and a 3 train operation on Vortex isn't really a big deal. The last time I was at the park, Vortex was running 3 trains, and they were stacking every train in the safety breaks. So really what is the point of running all 3 anyway, if they can't get the intervals right?
We were not paired with any crew when I worked there. As for riding boats up and getting out and switching up in the tower (chute)...yes we did, and now that I look back at that I think wow we were dumb....lol. I have lots of stories about my years at KI, I worked at the park until the end of the 05' season (final year under Paramount ownership). I loved working at the park and miss it very much.
Hmm wonder if I knew you? I worked at the park from July 1999, and the entire 2000 and 2001 seasons.
Paramount started the pass good at all Paramount Parks in 1993. I don't believe before Paramount that a Kings Island could be used at a another KECO park. But Cedar Fair did away with it in 2007, unless you buy the Platinum pass which is $150.00
I believe the fountain drink prices went up .10cents. 3.49 for a regular, and 3.69 for a large. I think last year it was, 3.39 for a regular, and 3.59 for a large.
