The Gold pass perks are finally up!
PKIVortex replied to flightoffear4thtrain's topic in Kings Island
I agree, I don't know why they can't just give like a 10 - 15 percent food discount to all gold pass holders or something like that. -
Nope I ride everything at KI, and will ride anything at any park.
-
We were not paired with any crew when I worked there. As for riding boats up and getting out and switching up in the tower (chute)...yes we did, and now that I look back at that I think wow we were dumb....lol. I have lots of stories about my years at KI, I worked at the park until the end of the 05' season (final year under Paramount ownership). I loved working at the park and miss it very much. Hmm wonder if I knew you? I worked at the park from July 1999, and the entire 2000 and 2001 seasons.

I am full of ?'s! hehehe

Skyflier has a hight requirement of 48 inches plus. -
Paramount started the pass good at all Paramount Parks in 1993. I don't believe before Paramount that a Kings Island could be used at a another KECO park. But Cedar Fair did away with it in 2007, unless you buy the Platinum pass which is $150.00

KCKC = Flop I always thought cause the ride never did get you very wet. I know when I rode it, I never got more then just a few drops of water on me. Now the Kings Mills Log Flume, (Wild Thornberry's) on the other hand always gets me drenched.
-
Yes it used to be they had to drink it at the point of purchase. Cedar Fair did away with that policy. But they are not suspose to be drinking it in line for any ride.
-
Knowing how Cedar Fair loves to use red track, you can never tell if that's for our new in 2009 coaster or not. Time will tell.
-
I haven't tired it since 2006 when they first started it. I will have to check it out again in the future.
-
The last time I even remember seeing the 1hr wait sign for Vortex was back in 2001 when I was apart of Vortex's Crew.
-
Yeah I feel the same way. My guess is they are still working out the bugs. Hopefully they will get it up and running well before full season. I really wanted to ride it today, but it was CLOSED!
-
I don't know, I saw a lot of people today with the Mix-it-up Icee cups today. So it must be doing some good. But those cups do look very cheap and small.
-
Vortex crew wasn't every fast when I rode today. 3 train operation and they were stacking like crazy. Also the crew was slow as heck checking the bars. If they can't run a 3 train operation without stacking every train, to me what is the point?
-
No they were not changeable, but it would still be nice if they used these signs. Vortex used to have 2 of them. 1 hour from this point and 30 minutes from this point. Of course Vortex unless on really busy days don't reach an hour line anymore.
-
Even SOB had them in it's first few years. I actually saw The Racer wait sign sitting behind Subway on opening day. It's the red one that says The Wait for The Racer is approximately 45 minutes from this point.
-
Not true KI used to have signs that used to list the wait times. Vortex, Racer, The Beast, Top Gun, King Cobra, Face/Off, even FoF used to have them.
-
No problem.
-
Of course it still work, how else would the music, show announcements and other stuff be able to play over the park?

GOLD PASS DISCOUNTS Throughout the Season Another Gold Pass Exclusive Special discount offers, including Bring a Friend discounts and savings on food, merchandise and games. Taken from here. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/shop/shopp...season_pass.cfm

It's normal in early season to see a lot of full times working out in the park. A lot of employees are still in High School or College.
-
No rides though. But it does sound neat.
-
Actually tonight was Season Pass Preview Night at Wonderland.
-
Maybe the Backwards Racer made a return LOL j/k. If it's the announcement on the 2009 coaster already, way to go KI. Too bad I'm getting ready to go to work.
