I heard Happy Days Diner is being renamed Jukebox Diner. Not sure how accurate that information is though.
-
It may be returning, but it's not official yet.
-
I didn't mention in this thread, but I have mentioned it before on here.
-
Which to 1999/2000 it was the biggest investment in KI's history. Which probably still is today.
-
They are still room to get back behind Delirium and Sling Shot. The old Entrance for King Cobra is still just open land.
-
Very nice picture.

I remember that sign that was brefily in the area of FC area in 1996. I still can't believe they said "Dropping In" cause of what happened on FC a few years before.

Actually I don't believe that Ron Toomer was involved in Tennessee Tornado. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, though. And about some steelies resembling woodies, I can see the connection. Steel out-and-back coasters take on the same general formula as wooden out-and-backers, albeit usually to a much greater height and length. Take Maggie and Blue Streak at CP, for example. Both have a large (in comparison to the rest of the ride) first hill, followed by several airtime hills, then a turnaround, more airtime hills, and the final brake run sequence of elements. While some might have some extras thrown in there, or a different kind of turnaround, they all follow the same general principle of lift-hills-turnaround-hills-station. The same can be said of steel twisters and wooden twisters. Yes your right Ron Toomer wasn't involved in TT. He was already retired by then.

What do you mean?

According to a post over at coasterbuzz. At No Coaster Con, it was announced that: Face/Off is to become Invertigo Top Gun is to become Flight Deck IJST: is to become Backlot Stunt Coaster. Those were the only 3 that were listed. Also no G trains for The Beast, new logos for Racer Trains, Drop Zone will be rotating again, and finally Bubba Gumps will be keeping it's name.

I'm a Country Music Fan myself so I'll definitely go see that a few times, if indeed it does come.
-
Hmmm does this mean they will be a country show returning to KI in 2008?
-
I'm sure he doesn't mean an actual 200 or 300 foot out and back Woodie. I think all he was saying, is that the layouts of the hyper and mega coasters were inspired by the old time Woodie out and backs.

Heck, a lot of Huss rides seems to have reliability issues. Even though Delirium probably had it's best year yet, this past season. Lets see if they can get the other Huss Giant running well this year.
-
The only ride or attraction I wish they would remove would be those trampolines, such a waste of valuable space. Even though they must make the park money, or they wouldn't still be there.
-
I honestly wish they would put something other then the trampolines in the old Flight Commander site. I think it would really draw more people into that area of Coney Mall. Also it would be nice if they would do something with the old Lazar tag/Cinema 180 building.

Yes he died.

Time goes way too fast anyway. Trust me, it'll be here soon, heck it's already almost been a month since Christmas. -

It wasn't that the rides weren't open at all, they were just a lot of delays. It seemed that everytime I went to a ride, it was closed down for a while. Maybe since the 19th it's a park rental, by the 20th things will be running a bit better. 90 days 23 hours. It will be here soon! -

1993 was the last year for WAH. 1994 the area was renamed Adventure Village.

New THUNDERHAWK colors
PKIVortex replied to TH13TEEN 's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That is wild. It looks like they are painting it back it's Serial Thriller colors. -
I wonder if they could trim some of that speed? The bring you to a crawl now in the block, I can't see why they couldn't slow you a little going into the Rose Bowl, then it wouldn't feel as if your being slowed down as much in the block. I know they did briefly have a trim at the top of that drop into the Rose Bowl, no idea why the took it off.
-
Probably recycled the steel for money. By the way tooken isn't a word. It's taken.
-
The only part of the track that still needs some work is the rose bowl. That really is the only part of the ride that is still unbearable.
