Death at Six Flags over Texas
kblanken replied to mullimann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The ride has very strong forces. I am not willing to suggest such a thing to be impossible, but the exact phrase 'upside down in their seat' seems to me like a non-scientic way of describing the things they watched. Theoretically, if the train is turned sideways, and the body is flying out away from the seat while holding on... ///// FWIW, I don't consider newspapers to be a legitimate source for pretty much anything. -
Death at Six Flags over Texas

The ride has turns banked at degrees slightly beyond ninety. Is that what you are asking? -
The handcarts are still there, but I think the Caterpillar is currently under long-duration maintenance.

The one at SFStL is a reflected 'clone'.

Geez, I sure didn't have my wits with me last night... I think I was trying to ask about the 100 millionth Racer rider. If both sides are in operation, would the count alternate between sides? Blue and red first rows, followed by blue and red second rows...ending with the last rows? So, for instance if the count needed 4 riders to reach the magic number, does Red/unload side/front-row get the pick? And the 5th rider is Blue/unload side/second-row? Or maybe whichever side wins the race starts the count and numbers 1-30 are on the winning side?
-
How do you determine exactly who is the 1,000,000th Racer rider? Supposing the previous count is 999,991 or whatever, and all thirty (or fifteen) gates are opened at once...

Please capitalize the third and seventh Buffalo, as they refer to the city.

If I had to decide the location, it would depend on whether Dinosaurs Alive is still around. If the dinosaurs are still there, then I would place it where Invertigo is. (Bye boomerang, I hope you don't come back if I send you away.) I'd see if they can work around the water ride, and maybe have a portion of the ride hanging over the parking-lot walkway. Keep the trees as much as possible, but have it visible just enough to be seen while walking towards the park. I would also try to make to the station location in the exact coordinates that it would create a parallelogram shape connecting each of the four wooden coasters.

Six Flags: New for 2014

I don't think there were any messages on them. I might need to take another few more trips to find out for sure though. -
Six Flags: New for 2014

Six Flags uniform has changed this year from the bright neon yellow to a blue color. -

The landfill is about a hundred feet higher than the high part of Mt. Airy. It usurped that title from them when the trash pile grew enough. -

Compared to the KI/Carowinds installment, Knoebels and Lagoon are the only two versions that I have found to even be playing the same game, let alone in the same league. Of course, both of those are also Bisch-Rocco. -
Seems that I am as INTP as one can be. I'm not surprised at all, but I do keep on wanting to rearrange the letters to PINT every time I see them. (And I much prefer the metric system.)

They were totally not always a walk on at Kings Island. Too frequently there were so many people in line that the big meanies wouldn't let us ride unless we paired up with someone. -
We must consider that we know this track only as it exists exactly as shown in the photos. From this point is where we begin to reference to it. It will likely to moved (to Carowinds/China/somewhere), and at that instance you will be correct. Not until then. I don't think the phrase "going to", without a form of the 'to be' verb, would work right. Realistically, they will probably be going to {} really soon.
-
But it is proceeded by the phrase 'going to', which suggests to me that it will need to be moved for this scenario to exist.
-
Typing "I found this while looking at TPR." isn't really giving proper credit. It is also incongruent with what Don asked in post #4625 of this thread.
-
The exception would be if the track does not go somewhere, or anywhere at all. It would be unlikely that the track is forever in that location, but would still nullify the absolute assumption that it will go to {Carowinds or somewhere else}.
-
They would probably also need to shorten or move Drop Tower a little to do that. As the big new attraction, it seems Banshee would be given a prominent display, with the key elements intensified. It can be done with the map the way it is, but I'm hoping for the whole map to be turned clockwise a little bit(so that International Street ends up with the same angle as The Racer had as of the 2013 map. This would also mean that Diamondback's tall hill wouldn't be covering the double helix; WindSeeker would be to the left of Action Theater; and I would finish with a squeezed/disorted section where the picinc grove and water area are, to fit better. I think I would also need to widen the path between the Grand Carousel/Dodgem area and Eiffel Tower so that nothing is blocked.
-
I'm guessing the parts travel by boat across the ocean, which would put Europe at a disadvantage when sending to China. (After they send it from Ohio by train or truck to the port.)

The poster forgot to give a link back to the source... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1418237#p1418237

But to fit Banshee on the map, they might have to change the angle of the map. Even a turn of a few degrees could create pandemonium on the board.

Thanks for the report... did they say whether any special merchandise for Blue Streak will be sold?
