  1. I finally received some offers. They registered my first trip to the park as well. So now the park visits total 4 and I have spent around $100 in the park. My offer list includes: -Fast Lane Pass (50% off) -Bring A Friend Ticket for $9.99 -Food Voucher - 15% off total -One Game Play - Free -Cotton Candy - Free -Hot buttered popcorn - Free -Ride on Thunder Alley - Free I am still a level one star.
  2. Ok we are in the final push. Who wants to meet where and at what time? If not it's not a biggie.
  3. Sheikra. But Idk if that really counts because there are only 3 rows...
  4. If Paula and Daniel are involved, which they are, I think (It wouldn't surprise me if) they will say this is a better water park than HW. Just purely from a marketing standpoint (Which they are good at! And thats not meant to be a bad thing) I meant the glorified as sarcastic because the water park is far from glory days. It wont fool me though. I still think the park is doomed (If it ever gets started) especially if they don't have/add a major attraction within 1-2 years.
  5. Well shoot... After my experience on Gwazi this spring, my Ninja experience sounds like a one and done deal for a credit haha.
  6. I heard Ninja was rough but is it really that bad? I always have wanted to ride it whenever I go back to SFOG. But its merely because I was an inch short to ride it when I was younger and haven't had a chance to ride it since I'm rarely in the area.
  7. Plenty of people from New Albany and surrounding cities in Indiana. Takes 10 minutes to get there from my cousin's house in New Albany, Indiana. There are less than 40,000 people in New Albany... Yeah I know, what I meant (and should have typed) was Cincy and Indianapolis are about an hour and a half away. They could realistically draw 150,000 IF they had something to draw people in... BUT they need some attractions to do so. I'm not driving an hour and a half for a "glorified" mediocre water park with a merry-go-round....
  8. I highly doubt it will, because by that time schools will be out for the summer. That's a Tuesday, so it shouldn't be too packed, but the park won't be empty either. Haha Yeah thats what I kind of figured I hope the lines arent too long I am going with my girlfriend and here 8 year old twin cousins. It's their first time going!
  9. I'm sure the price increase will come when the park becomes miserably packed during the weekends starting when school is fully out... Maybe in the next week or so at the beginning of June... They might decrease again towards the end of the summer session when the crowds go back down a bit.
  10. That is exactly what I am talking about...
  11. Nice Report! I really hope the crowds are like that during my next visit on June 12th.
  12. Terp I really think its only you and I that can see right through this... I saw another comment from someone that went roughly like this: Opening a theme park as a water park only the first year is like opening a steakhouse only to sell hamburgers and fries. And if they do well with the hamburgers and fries then they will sell t-bones and rib-eyes in the coming years...
  13. Hopefully they do pull out... that would be great news at HWN on Friday during the initial meeting.
  14. Plenty of people from New Albany and surrounding cities in Indiana. Takes 10 minutes to get there from my cousin's house in New Albany, Indiana.
  15. I hate to say it (Because it comes at the expense of the Koch's reputation) but I told you so...
  16. Haha yeah I guess he is at the park all the time from what I hear. This was the first time I saw him but I have only been to the park 6 times in the past two years.
  17. Haha I always thought that whenever I visited. She is ALL OVER THE PARK!!!
  18. I have been during the summer and to me I like spending the first hour of my time in the park on the dry side (The only side that is open). I then grab a locker and head to the water park for a good amount of the day. I eat in the water park just either chicken fingers, or pizza and fries and two oreo cookies. I usually leave the waterpark and hour before it closes then head back to the dry park and ride until it closes. It usually works out really well. I will say some of the water rides get long lines (enough to dry off before riding again) but I have only been during the weekends. A weekday seems like it could be the perfect day to go. I like the dive show they have. Hopefully they are having it again this year as well. Anyways Enjoy HW. Its a park that you should take in as a whole.
  19. Been 3 times (Card only says twice), Spent $20 on food and haven't received an offer yet. I would love an explanation of this....
  20. Simple. Ask guests for their ZIP Codes when they purchase parking/admission. Ah that makes sense. Thanks!
  21. May 14th, 2012: Longest wait was Firehawk 40 minutes even though it was a walk on until around 11am. FoF was around a 30 minute wait around noon even though it was a walk on until around 1130 am. DB,Vortex,BLSC,AE,Racer,Delrium,FD,- were all walkons/one train waits. Definitely a 1/5. Ride count was 11 for DB in an hour and ten minutes.
  22. 25% of the attendance MUST be from out of state? How the heck are they going to track that? I wonder how much parking will be since the parking will be profit only for the Kentucky Fairgrounds.... and the price is not under control of BB?
  23. Two weeks left before 2012 HWN!!!! The headcount I have so far goes as follows: 1. Joncars05 (with girlfriend) 2. Hendrick (with girlfriend) 3. jcgoble3 4. kiruler102 (If not working) 5. AZ Kinda Guy (with family) 6. XGatorHead 8904 (Possibly going) 7.Indyguy4KI 8.Avatar 9. IBEW Sparky 10.Ogrmac (Plus family???) 11. rotag (Possibly?) 12. jbt Can anyone on this list that said they were possibly going want to confirm if they are going or not? Anyone up for setting up a place to meet so we ( i ) can all meet each other so I can put faces with names and have a chance to meet fellow KICers. we can try either day whichever one has everyone there. I just thought we could have a get together with KIC members just to hang out and such. Let me know what you guys think (if you want to meet up or not)
  24. I bought single day tickets for $30 at Kroger in Indianapolis. I noticed the prices for some reason went higher the closer you got to KI. I dont know if they are running the same promotion this year though (I bought a Gold Pass for this year so I haven't been back to Kroger this year).
  25. Haha yeah sorry for ranting a bit, I'm just frustrated by the whole situation ... because I really think this "business venture" into the abyss that is KK/BB could potentially harm or even ruin the gem that is known as HW. I love HW and would love to see it flourish but by just throwing $15 million in the first year just on repairs (Not counting the lease, employee expenses, and all the stuff that is included in the operation of a park) This move could potentially (in my pessimistic mind) be the end of HW and the Koch family as we know it...
