HW is pretty good at being open to their fans and customers about their plans. I like how they tease us with small details about future attractions. I can only wonder what they have up their sleeves for the next few years! I'm guessing they are due for a coaster. I think they want bridge the intensity gap between the Howler and the Raven. That would be nice to see from the park.

That is goal. The 'limited' supply is to increase purchases. The more demand for the product the more of the ride will become available.

I'm headed to KI for the entire weekend with my fiance. We should be there late on Friday (10-11pm). Then spending the whole day there Saturday and we will just cruise around the park on Sunday. Does anyone know how long the FL lines were last Saturday? We are buying some on Saturday and are hoping for the best...

It takes me about one hour and 55 minutes to get from driveway to parking lot. I live on the south side of Indianapolis. I wont get there any faster especially since I got a speeding ticket on 74 near the Lawrenceburg exit. I'm still trying to figure out where that cop was posted up... haha

This is a short version of my bad luck experience. My car key somehow fell out of my pocket while riding DB during ERT during last years haunt. Yes they were zipped up. I'm still not sure how it happened but it did. The ride crew said they were going to look for them but they never did find them. Got a ride back to a hotel (from Indy) from a friend they dropped us off in the morning at KI because the workers said they would look for the key in the morning. Our ride left because we were confident they had the key, but they didn't have the key. I called my mom to give my backup key to my fiance's mom (my mom was working) and have here drive it to KI. My fiance's mom dropped off the key AND.... it was the wrong key... We rode back home to Indy and came back on Monday. Had the car towed to a dealer. They cut a new key. So $225 (the cost for the key to be cut) later we were on my way home... The only positive was that a security guard (who shall remain nameless so he doesn't get in trouble) let my fiance and I in for free on sunday. It made the experience worth it because the gentleman saw we were in trouble and helped us out. Otherwise we would have literally sat out in front of KI for the entire day (our ride came at 6pm). That guy was totally awesome and we still say hello to him when we see him around the park!

Look at 2:33 on this clip. I guess SOB was injuring people before it was even opened...

As well as your belief that the Voyage is overrated! Jon, who always believes in the right of difference of opinions!

Can't remember the cost (I think it is around $5 or $10) They do not allow the wristbands for the souvenir cups, they give you a 20 oz cup each time you get a drink. Last time I went they gave me a limit of two cups per trip through the line. Edit: Got beat to the punch there by malem and I might be wrong with some of that too... haha I thought the regular wristbands were available for purchase without a FP or souvenir cup?

Did you get the option of only getting one FL pass or two FL passes with the level 4 offer?

Yes I know I'm late to this but here is some more wobble footage from Diamondback

He received an offer that he couldn't resist and sold the park for $64,000,000. Every man has their selling point even if it is something he loves. He made a huge profit and foresaw the trouble that the Fair Board was going to cause dealing with business. So he was in a win/win situation. Sell the park for a huge profit and he did not have to deal with the Fair board which is (IMO) ultimately the reason why the park failed and is still not operating today. Ed Hart is not an idiot he knows exactly what he is doing.

Whoa $48.99 per person? I think I'll pass on that...

Over rated rides

I really enjoyed Gwazi! What didn't you enjoy about it? I didn't really like Montu that much, though. It was just very boring. Sad, too, as I was really looking forward to it, and the excitement of the theming and observing the train climbing the lift, traversing through the inversions.. But alas, I was severely let down. It was ROUGH! haha. Maybe we just had a bad train or car or something but it was crazy rough to ride. My fiance and I rode it this past spring break and we both had to take 30 minutes after the ride to rest before we went and walked around. It just didn't work for us. Huh. I rode in the back seat of (I think it was) Tiger. I suppose our pain tolerance is different! Yeah I think it might have been just the day. We sat in the back for Lion then I rode Tiger just for a credit (haha). I wrote about it in my TR. I think the next time I go it will be more enjoyable. I usually don't get bothered by rides but that one stiffened my back up rather quickly for some reason. Gwazi may not be overrated but I was advised to ride it and it was billed as a good ride. I was dissappointed with it though. Again that might change if I get to ride it again. -

I know its all a matter of opinion but my overrated coasters are: #1 The Beast (Night rides- Meh Day rides- Yawn) #2 Gwazi (My back just tighetned up because I thought of the name) #3 Montu (I think its awesome for the first inversion then after that it just seems to be designed to make people sick) #4 Raven (Only if it was about 600-800 feet longer... what could've been!!!) -
Abandoned Disney Resort
Joncars05 replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I find it amazing what a place can look like when people leave things abandoned... The overgrowth through this park is just crazy! -
I have only been on this board for about 7 months now, so I have only read his posts. Keith seemed like a great guy. That is evident by the kind words from everyone about him on this post. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends, especially his kids. May he rest in peace.

Sorry for double posting. They're a lot of teens in CF parks. I don't think its a bad thing, Whats bad is how the majority of them act. I know when I go with my friends we do not bother a soul and do not randomly shout profanities and giggle like a bunch of tools. Thats the one word I would use to describe some of the teens (and 12 year olds) in the park, "tools". They walk around thinking they are the King of the World and making the average guests day less enjoyable. I think you are exactly right. It's not the amount of kids in the park. It is the way some of them act. I just would like to see the rules enforced throughout the park, especially when it comes to behavior from individuals (no matter their age). I also agree that even at $200 free parking and admission, ERT, HH admission, water park admission, and discounts for food and merchandise for 11 parks is a pretty awesome deal!

It looks like KI has increased the fall price on gold passes for 2013 to $79.99. I believe Terpy mentioned that the the overall plan is to increase the price gradually. I would have to agree with that plan. The GP are an absolute steal with the value they bring. Especially when compared to other parks in the nation.

I voted White Lightning. I think looks like a fun little ride that packs a punch for the entire ride (albeit it a very short one, haha) I think this ride will show once again that a ride doesn't have to be the biggest/fastest/most inverted ride to be an outstanding ride.

So basically the mods have to set it up? If so then that is easy enough. Get the mods to set up an event. Problem solved. Sounds like we are on the way to that official event Crypt wants. So can we please get back on topic! Has anyone had their FP accounts delayed because of a purchase. Someone mentioned that large purchases may be capped by the system as to not give you the full amount towards your progress bar. Which could makes sense because there are few large single purchases available in the park. Maybe hoodies at $45 and FL passes are about the only things at $30 or above for a single item. So maybe the focus is on the smaller purchases.

The only difference is that no one asked the park for an official event. Ask the park for an official event and bring the minimum required people and bingo you have you desired "official event." It's not hard. They WANT your money so if you want an official event you will get one. i.e Coasterquest, Gay Pride Night, etc. If KIC wants an official event and can provide the minimum number of guest then you will get one. Crypt was trying to say that because of people like me, KIC is somehow banned or has a harder time getting an official event. That statement is absolutely false.

I also don't count "Some KICentral members at the park today." as a great dedicated shout out. You sound like you're complaining about nothing. At least do us all a favor if you feel ever so inclined to complain: Capitalize and use proper grammar at all times. "Just a thought..." I dont think you understand what I was saying. The relationship between the board and the park is solid. Noted by the dedicated tweet and FB mention when we only had 8 people show up to an unofficial event representing the board. Also noted by the participation of the park's public relations manager being an active member on the board... We had almost 40 days to get people signed up for the event and only 8 people actually showed up. Both topics that mentioned details of the event have a combined total of 3328 views. That means out of all the people who saw those posts only 8 people decided to show up... That is what I am talking about when I say there was little interest in the event and that holding an official event was highly unlikely. When you get this many people to show up OR (^that wasn't even the whole group as about 7 people, including my fiance and myself, were not in this photo ) Then you would more than likely have an easy time getting that event to become official with the park... Also when you disagree with someone don't try and attack them for their opinion or grammar... It just makes you look petty... Just Sayin'...

^Really? Maybe it's because the forum hasnt tried hard enough to get an exclusive event. All I know it that two guys Joe and Louis from Club Coasterfusion were able to pull off an event and their roller coaster club is literally 18 months old. Just get 30+ people and submit to the park as a group. Say you are with an organization, ask for a backstage tour of some sort and bingo you have your official event. Last I checked the last time we tried to get an event, Aug 4th, we only had about 8 members show up (i believe you didnt show) and we still got a dedicated tweet and mention on their Facebook page from the park. Just think if we actually had a sign up page where everyone signs up and pays for the event in advance. That would more likely get us an "official event." Just a thought...
