Six Flags Magic Mountain on Glee...

I didn't get to watch it, so I am ill-informed on the matter. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain on Glee...
Diamondbacker replied to Diamondback96's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Hmm, maybe because they're not open? -
When I was there with a friend, we ended up spending three hours there. We had walked around the whole zoo at least four times.

^That could probably be done with ease on Diamondback.

What are your plans for the 2012 Season?
Diamondbacker replied to KI FANATIC 37's topic in Kings Island

Here's another: Vortex is closed for the season. Why does everyone seem to pick on Vortex?

Oops! Kings Dominion web page mistake!
Diamondbacker replied to McSalsa's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Woah, they read this too! They fixed it already. -
Good point. I could definitely see this happening. The Wild Animal Habitat's closing was announced though, correct?

I said they could buy it. The power of underlining is great.

Biggest Mental Thrill
Diamondbacker replied to countess_of_tuscany's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I have two: Vortex and Delirium. Vortex gives me a mental thrill when the train is let off of the chain lift. It makes me feel like the train could fall off of the tracks at any moment. Delirium gets me when the ride swings up on the entrance side. I always feel as if my feet will touch the red lights on the roof of the queue, and because of the force my foot will be hurt badly. -
That sign always means doom. King Cobra, The Crypt, and Son of Beast all have been pictured with the sign in front of the entrance. Two have been axed so far, and the third most likely will be gone soon.

^They could buy extra land behind where the ride sits.
-
They could remove Congo Falls to fit Raptor. In all reality, how many times have you seen people in the outer queue for CF?

A giga coaster? Anything could replace SoB. There is a huge amount of land where that coaster is. I think most KI fans would welcome a new giga coaster more than the re-opening of Son of Beast.

Since you guys have all worked at KI before, does it get annoying or is it well-received when someone talks to you casually during the day? I'll usually engage in some small talk with employees during the day. Some seem to like it, some seem to not care at all.

Invertigo for Raptor.
-
Either way, if it's opened or closed, there's probably never going to be another 'Beast Family' ride. Also just a thought, if The Beast's son was SoB, what was The Beastie? Its baby brother, I guess.

ohiocolts, can you tell us anything that Carowinds did better/worse than KI? I think even though our home park is nice, I think it could still be even better.

New Advertising Campaign
Diamondbacker replied to KIBOB's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Speaking of CF advertising...is it normal for a park to use a fellow CF park's coaster for an ad? Taken off of CGA's website: http://s1145.photobucket.com/albums/o511/MaurerPower3/?action=view¤t=Vortex.png- 23 replies

Is this account run by Don Helbig? Because today, out of curiosity, I looked at @KingsIslandPr's profile. While looking at the accounts that KingsIslandPR follows, I saw that he followed such accounts as Six Flags Over Texas, Universal Orlando, and the Gravity Group. I thought that was interesting. I could understand the Gravity Group follow, but why SFOT or Universal Orlando? It's probably just as simple as a follow, but I thought KI would only associate with fellow CF parks.

Just talking to a friend about KI this summer: "I'm not riding Vortex. It's sinking into the ground again." Also: "I'm not riding Diamondback. That thing shakes me so much." Diamondback shaky? I find that hard to believe. Now if we were talking about Son of Beast...
