  1. And this was 5 years after it opened! Wow, what a classic.
  2. Feel the exact same way. Our fellow teens have done so much to take our generation to a very, very low point.
  3. Only rode Crypt once. Didn't really like it.
  4. Also, I heard multiple times before the opening of WS last year that some of the dummies had fallen out of the seats during testing. I'm not too bright, but I didn't fall out.
  5. A man gave her the link to our very own What's Next For Son of Beast? forum.
  6. I think most of us could agree that KI is the test park for Cedar Fair. They used KI to test Dinosaurs Alive!, WindSeeker, and Fast Lane last year. This year, it looks like KI will be used to test Soak City and the new food options. What I am curious to see is if CF will keep testing things at KI, maybe more food options or different amenities, maybe even another big ride like WS. I could maybe see CF trying out small flats or pass perks at KI before rolling them out to the other parks.
  7. All we can hope for is that some people are scared away by the high price of FL, so that not too many people buy it.
  8. Can't wait for my first visit, to hear a bunch of crazy stories. 10 days till opening day!
  9. I think that Fast Lane is okay. If a person wants to do everything they want to do in only one day, good for them. Maybe a discount should be added for Platinum/Gold/Season Pass holders? Like instead of $50, the wristband is $45 for pass holders. Pass holders get certain perks at some KI shops, restaurants, etc., why not on FL?
  10. I don't know about you guys, but I am definitely going to be at Bluegrass Boardwalk at least once next year. I think that the park won't be Holiday World exactly, but it will pretty darn close. All I can wonder is how much longer they will have the different amenities that we like at Holiday World (free Pepsi, cool-down stations, etc.) with the addition of the new park. I think that the Koch Family can save some extra money, though, and not go on a huge, new-ride spending spree for next year. Maybe a new flat or something. Their main goal has to be sprucing up the park from the disarray that the "company that numbers its flags"(quoting Terp) left it in. Also, the Kochs also need to add something as popular as Holiwood Nights to BB. I think that this will do wonders for the park. In conclusion, it will be interesting to see how BB fares in 2013. I hope the park does well, because it was sad to see how bad SF left it. (Thanks to Gordon Bombay for the photos. Here's the link to them:http://queencitydiscovery.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html)
  11. Some lady posted on the KI Facebook the other day if they could post a picture of Son of Beast. She seemed shocked to hear why it closed. Oh, people these days.
  12. I have lately only been watching the pics, but I have to say, great photos! There has to be a great amount of work going into this.
  13. I think that whatever happens inside of the tin box during Halloween Haunt, it won't be standing for much longer. Maybe a new attraction will take its place.
  14. Here's a rumor I've seen, right here on our beloved KICentral. On The Vortex ride page, apparently the commenters believe that the ride is being taken down and replaced.
  15. Yeah, I was out of line in saying that they don't make enough money. I think they still host the Golden Gloves boxing championship there in the event hall, and along with the 4H fair and the numerous church/school/workplace events held there, as well as the few days they are open to the public. With all of those days, they could be loaded right now. I'm not sure, really. Sorry for faulty information.
  16. Maybe I have a bad view on CF because I only rode it two or three times last year. Well, that's what this season is for, right?
  17. Congo Falls/WindSeeker. CF goes up, and then oh no-down a hill! Then around a bend, and it's over. WS goes up and leans out a tiny bit. The experience is unique, and a nice view, but still dumb. 100th post! Hopefully more to come.
  18. At the speed you're going on FD(max speed 51 mph), while on that real sharp turn, while your car is swaying on the track, and your peripheral vision is somewhat blocked by the over-the-shoulder restraints, I can't really believe that you saw supports on the SoB track.
  19. ^What land can the two parks put it on? CP looks like it's filled up to the brim. Actually, KI could be clearing. But where? Action Zone: Most likely not. There's a grand wooden structure taking a good amount of space over there. Coney Mall/X-Base: Some possible space behind Firehawk. Maybe it goes along with DA! Rivertown: That tin box can easily be taken down. If KI gets the coaster, my guess is that it will go here. There is a good amount of space between DB and Beast to fit the coaster in.
  20. Why is everyone saying CP? Wouldn't they have already started dismantling a ride and/or clearing land to make room for this new one and get it ready in time for 2013? That would apply for Kings Island as well.
  21. WWC. But KCKC looks like a great ride. It somewhat looks like the 'Son' of the old log flume(Race For Your Life Charlie Brown).
  22. Hmm, never knew that. Thanks for the tip.
  23. Whoops. They interchange "Dollywood" and "Dollyworld" throughout the article.
  24. Great pics of Invertigo! I still want to know if the logo colors will be changing. From the parking lot signs, that answer looks to be no, which is silly.
