But in all seriousness, I think Action Zone has been receiving a makeover for a while, with the Flight Deck and Invertigo paint-jobs. I would say that the makeover, not including SoB, is finished.

Hah, one of those posters says that one of CF's motives is making Canada's Wonderland and Kings Island twin parks. I can't really see that happening, as they still have a King Cobra-type ride and The Bat, while those are long gone from KI.

I remember reading about Action Park one time. The teenage employees, most about the same age as myself, seemed not to care at all about the patrons, from what I read. They would find places to get drunk/high, make the go-karts go faster, and would watch people go down the water slides, hoping to see a bad injury or topless women. Just think how many lawsuits a company would get today for running a park as poorly as these kids did.

Just think about Son of Beast, with or without the loop...shudder shudder. That gives me nightmares.

The sign in Beast's station says the track is walked every morning. I think this is because they want to make sure nothing from the fireworks is still on the track during the day.

That Cincinnati Reds Dugout Shop in the photos seems odd. That's strange to have a team shop 23 miles away from the team headquarters. Oh well, I love the photos. Whatever happened to the College Football Hall of Fame?

Paramount owned the park from 1992-2006.

Paramount brought Kings Island into the big time. I'd have to say Paramount made Kings Island competitive with other area parks, like, at that time, SFKK. They brought so many big-name rides and attractions into Kings Island (Delirium, Drop Zone, SoB, Flight of Fear, TR:TR, FearFest), and only one has been axed so far. Cedar Fair did bring us Firehawk, Diamondback, WindSeeker, and Dinosaurs Alive!, but they don't put the same amount of effort into the theming of the rides as Paramount did.
