I won't delve into how employment has been structured in the past, but suffice it to say, from what I've seen, CF doesn't give a rat's ass about it's employees (seasonal or full-time) compared to the old PPI.

Well if you thought of checking the whole structure, I'm sure the people in charge of inspecting it did too. Anyhow, I'm still placing my bets on design flaw and not bad maintenance or bad wood, and if that's the case, the whole design would be checked....which would take awhile, hence not opening until next year.

Other videos on the DVD are the Son of Beast Blair Witch parody from the 1999-2000 timeframe, the National Geographic Explorer parody that was a promo for TRTR, and the Brady Bunch KI episode parody that was a promo for IJ.

It's themed after an aircraft carrier which are.........grey and silver.

1999 was the last year that area was used.

Remember, The Beast was originally built with the brake shed. It was always intended to be slowed at that point. I would attribute the "out of control" feeling that people always talk about to the fact that you used to be much less restrained in your seat. The bar was nowhere near your lap, and there were no seat dividers, so you would slide side to side very rapidly. The lateral G forces on the ride are pretty high even today, you just can't be thrown around like the old days.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but why are you so certain of this? Rides that people have been injured and even died on have reopened before. Two Beast trains collided five years ago, sending people to the hospital, and it reopened.

OK, since you're saying that CP employees are so good, the first time I rode TTD the lead train in the station was dispatching with a seatbelt undone and a guest in the stalls noticed it and had to tell a ride op. "They should notice and look at people's seatbelts." You can find problems with something anywhere you look. Granted, a problem with a restraint isn't something to just shrug off, but don't act like CP doesn't have questionable associates.
