I think they're a great idea, Cedar Point got one last year. http://instagram.com/p/OCLfgQjpgt/

I wonder if Canada's Wonderland could make it to 4 million. That would be pretty impressive.

After looking at that comparison to Montu, I'm getting more confident that it'll be an Invert. That is what I'm hoping for too.

Welcome to KIC! That is always a possibility but I have a few comments. Cedar Fair doesn't usually relocate roller coasters. If they do, they are usually smaller and happen at one of the non top 4 parks in the chain. This coaster will be one of the signature rides of the park so it will be unique for Kings Island and not be a roller coaster that people know well.

Would they take that route to get to Dollywood?
-
This is quite surprising. I thought Cedar Fair would wait a little bit longer before going back to Intamin.
-
That green track with forest green supports would definitely have the sexy B&M look
-
Because they were going to use it but they ditched it. I believe that trademark has ended.

It's a pun on that commercial with the young girl.

Although valleying has nothing to do with the ride manufacturer. Any ride can valley if it's cold and windy.
-
I wouldn't agree with that. I believe the year Raptor opened was the biggest year, attendance wise, the park has ever seen.
-
That's most likely for the wing coaster opening in Asia.

It was $6 million and in the words of John Hildebrandt, "it succeeded expectations." I think everyone, including Matt were very impressed with its results. I do see it expanding to other parks because it takes over the nighttime show. Cedar Point had a nighttime show but they stil got Luminosity and I think we could see the same thing at Kings Island.

I went to Kings Dominion earlier this month for the first time and like chugh43 said, it's just weird. The entrance is weird and the layout is weird. The park is totally off centered. Also I can't seem to figure it out but the International Street section with the fountains seems so different from Kings Island.

I think there's a good possibility we'll see more than one attraction in this area. Also, Cedar Point released many false clues last year so I'm sure Kings Island will be doing the same. I'm in the minority here but I'm just hoping its not a Giga.

Millennium has always been 310. Also, those clearly look like things used in footers.
-
Let's just hope they don't spill the beans and we're still guessing what the attraction is at the end of May unlike a park up north

Disney Rides That Never Came To Fruition
Maverick00 replied to Hank's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I always love this kind of stuff. I always love hearing what almost happened in the amusement park industry or what rides were almost built. I'd be interested in what the next coaster Dick Kinzel had planned for the Point. -
Low Crowd days at Cedar Point
Maverick00 replied to homestar92's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Cedar Point is great to go to in May. Since it is more of a destination park, July and August are the worst times to go as those are when families vacation. It doesn't get very busy until mid-June but before that, there are days with virtually no wait. -
Creepy Abandoned Theme Parks

Chippewa Lake is in pretty rough shape. Many rides including the Ferrie Wheel are still standing though. -
Steel Dragon 2000 receives B&M trains
Maverick00 replied to Maverick00's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
True but I'm sure B&M could make trains with guide wheels on the inside if the park really wanted them. *cough* Magnum *cough* -
Steel Dragon 2000 has received new B&Ms trains that use a new configuration. They have two rows of two seats per car but they're not staggered like Diamondback. So this leads me to ask out of B&M's three hyper coaster trains, (4-abreast like Leviathan, 2 rows staggered like Diamondback or 2 rows not staggered like Steel Dragon 2000) which one do you think is better and which would you like to see on Kings Island's next coaster?
