B&M Giga and Hyper or a Intamin Giga and hyper

It has an elevator cable lift system. How does that sound? -
B&M Giga and Hyper or a Intamin Giga and hyper

Well I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to Millennium Force at Kings Island. I"m not saying put the exact same layout in, but something that would resemble it's brother at Cedar Point. Like I said yesterday, have a regular elevator lift hill, have it turn to the left and then let it drop straight down! That would be awesome! For now though, Millennium Force is my favorite steel roller coaster! -
B&M Giga and Hyper or a Intamin Giga and hyper

Is this topic of what the fans want in SOB former spot? If that is the case, I would love to see an Intamin Giga roller coaster. Maybe make it the first of it's kind where it goes up and when it gets to the top, it makes a left turn and then straight down. You heard right, build the first Intamin Giga to drop straight down. -
^ Yeah maybe they're setting up for now by getting all the bulldozers into place. Now I remember the guy in charge of Kings Island saying they would take it down piece by piece. Wouldn't it seem easier if they just took the wrecking ball to it? Also what about how they took down that one tower ride at a six flags park? Does anybody have the link to that?

I was thinking with the removal of Son of Beast, they should make the go cart track bigger. All you have a is a little oval! I think more people would pay to race their friends if they had a go cart track similar to the one at Cedar Point.

Anyone who knows construction might be able to answer this. When taking down large structures such as Son of Beast, what do they do with all the wood? Do they give it to paper companies or try to salvage some of the wood to Home Depot stores? I was also thinking, would Kings Island be able to save the massive chain from Son of Beast? I already have a feeling they'll keep the station as is after demolition is over with like they did with The Bat.
-
I don't know dude. I'm sorry I was just giving my opinion.
-
I think Kings Island has something up their sleeves for 2014. I'm sure they won't announce a new ride until later next summer.
-
Anybody seen anything more going on around Son of Beast or Flight Deck? Last I checked, someone mentioned tree removals.
-
To make the long story short, I think Kings Island will wait until normal everyday operation shuts down for the week so they can bring in the big heavy equipment they need without interfering with the guests. This is probably why they are clearing a path over by Flight Deck. I also think they'll start out by Great Wolf Lodge and work they're way in so we probably won't see demolition of the lift hill until after the season is over. This is all my guessing but I think it's logical.

Anybody notice any deconstruction pictures lately?
-
I wonder with the announcement of Son of Beast being removed, what are the chances of Kings Island and Cedar Fair building a new ride in the former spot? Should we just count on something minor being added for 2013 at Kings Island or 2014?
-
I know a few of you were fighting over how this move of SOB being removed stinks or others have said good riddance. For those who liked this ride, don't worry I'm sure Cedar Fair/Kings Island will build something just as great in it's spot. I would still love to see Gravity Group, GCI(not sure what that stands for), and or Intamin come in and build a good wooden roller coaster. Maybe Kings Island can institute the loop on a wooden roller coaster again.
-
Someone mentioned that Kings Island is trying to get opinions from the fans of what they want to see come to Kings Island in the future. Is there a part of Kings Island on their website where we can submit this kind of information? Hopefully Kings Island reads these forums because I would love for them to put in a B&M Floorless roller coaster. Those are fun!
-
Referring to Original's post here. Sorry buddy don't know your name. Wouldn't it be something if they built another wooden roller coaster in that same spot? Like I said, hopefully Gravity Group or GCI comes in and builds Kings Island another wooden roller coaster in the future. I won't hold my breath though. Whatever is in the best interest of Kings Island for the future, I"m sure I'll enjoy.

Anybody know if they will be pointing a webcam at Son of Beast for the deconstruction?
-
They probably won't start until the end of August. Just a guess though.

Like I said before, I hope Kings Island at least keeps the station from Son of Beast. That station is beautiful and could be used again for a Steel or wooden roller coaster. I know a lot of people are saddened about seeing Son of Beast go, but think of it this way, at least your back will stay in good shape. What I mean by that is when I rode Son of Beast back in 2000, I was praying to God to let this ride be over with because it beat the heck out of me. Did I sue? No! I just swore that never again would I ride it. I do hope that someday KI builds another wooden roller coaster that does feature a loop now that we know that it can be done! I still would love to see GCI or GG come in to build the next wooden roller coaster for Kings Island if that in fact is their plans for the future. In my opinion, if you can have 90 degree turns like what you see on Voyage, you can add a loop.

What kind of coaster should replace Son of Beast?
Shawn Meyer replied to McSalsa's topic in KI Polls
I voted for a B&M Floorless roller coaster since we don't have one In Ohio. We haven't had B&M Floorless roller coaster since Dominator packed it's bags and left for Kings Dominion. Maybe Kings Island can set a new record by creating the first floorless to reach the 200 ft mark. I think that would be cool! -
Well if they did this, they would keep the first hill and drop up.
-
No! What I mean is less trees have to be cut down for the structure. The wood would be used for just the track instead of both.
-
I wonder if Kings Island will at least keep the station from Son of Beast? That way whatever the next roller coaster is can have a piece of history of what was once there. I hope Kings Island is in discussion with Gravity Group or Intamin to build another wooden roller coaster. I would mostly lean towards Gravity Group since they built Voyage. Plus, I like the idea of parks going this route because it means less trees get cut down.
-
I want to see Kings Island add a B&M Floorless roller coaster. We haven't had a B&M Floorless coaster in Ohio since Dominator packed it's bags and left for Kings Dominion. Hopefully Kings Island reads my post on this.

YES! YES! YES! YES! Thank you Kings Island! Now we don't have to keep bugging Kings Island of what's going in it's place or what is the fate of SOB?
-
I know alot of you guys like SOB, but I would vote for that ride to go just for the fact when it was in operation, it was more brutal than Mean Streak. I am going to stick up for Mean Streak and say I like it! I know many people cannot stand it, but I like it!
