I would love to see the defunct Big Dipper moved down to Kings Island. All it needs is fixed up a lot and then it's ready to go.

Wait, they're spending $25 million for Demolition of SOB and the other part of the money is going towards the new ride?

Wouldn't it be cool if the corkscrew for the new ride went over the Action Zone midway kind of like Corkscrew at Cedar Point?

That would be cool. Especially since Adventure Express has a few tunnels. I think it would be a good theme.

That's what happened with Gatekeeper last year. Somehow it was leaked out before the ride was announced 2 days prior. This also happened with the Sandusky Register newspaper leaking out WindSeeker back in late 2010. I'm sure Don will keep this as secretly locked as possible. By the way, if this is an Inverted roller coaster, does it seem like the rumored layout is short or was SOB just that big?

Thanks Dvo. I was being a little lazy there tonight. I'm surprised they would announce the ride at 10:00pm when usually at that time they're trying to get people out of the park at that time. Oh well. I will be there with my camera ready! OH YEAH!

Question: How late is Kings Island open on August 8th? Just curious.

I hope that is inaccurate and that Kings Island gets the rumored future B&M roller coaster such as the Floorless or Inverted.

Yeah I'm not sure why some on here are dissapointed in the possibility of this being an Invert? I mean yeah they're outdated, but they are still fun aren't they? I have a feeling this will be a great addition no matter what and you guys are all going to like this.

This has me excited a little. I remember how excited I was a year ago that SOB was going to be no more. I apologize to those of you that liked SOB, but that ride was painful! With that latest tweet, makes me think that 2014 announcement isn't too far away.

I know you guys want to see Flight Deck removed, but me and my family have a lot of memories on that ride. I know life is about change, but seeing Flight Deck/Top Gun removed would be tough to swallow.

I have to disagree here. I think adding a B&M Invert or Floorless will bring people back to that area of the park. If I'm part of the general public, I will ride anything that is new even if it is a B&M Invert or Floorless roller coaster. Plus, Kings Island needs a good solid B&M roller coaster no matter what type of roller coaster they bring out. I still am in favor of a Floorless roller coaster.

Another way to tell is by the track. Some can tell what new coaster is which just by the track.

Wait...Kentucky Kingdom is supposed to make an announcement this year also? I might have to head down there next year if this is a great ride.
