Good point hoeter. I think when we start seeing signs of land clearing or markings is when I'll get excited. For now it's fun to speculate.

It would be cool If they used the woods and incorporated a wooden roller coaster similar to Outlaw run somewhere in the park. Maybe this time, they'll be able to create a loop like they tried to do with SOB.

I've been Invited to go, but at the moment I'm not quite sure because of money. Plus last year I couldn't find anyone who wanted to split the cost as far a hotel stay in concerned. The fact that this is a weekend event makes me really anxious to decide If I can go or not. Right now I'll just say I'm Highly Interested!

That would fit the area nicely. I personally don't have a problem with Vortex, but people in my family say it gives them headaches after they ride it. I've heard that rumor every year about Vortex, but so far nothing has happened yet. I would welcome a B&M Floorless at KI. I fell in Love with Rougarou when it debuted last year at Cedar Point and think that would be ideal for Kings Island.

Does anyone have pictures of the area formerly occupied by the funnel cake building?

^^That or a Terra Coaster similar to Maverick would be cool at Kings Island. I'm not sure of how much popularity that FOF has overall from guest satisfaction, but I love it! If they ever took that out, I would vote for a Mack or Terra Coaster.

I would Love to see a new wooden hybrid built similar to Outlaw run. I feel like with RMC, Kings Island can build a wooden roller coaster like SOB with the Loop If they really wanted to. SOB had a cool layout to it, but I just thought the ride was painful except for the Loop.

I grew up with this ride! They should keep it going as long as they can. Maye it will make a Landmark status one day.

I'm looking forward to 2016 too! Before the announcement, KIC, Kings Island, and other sites were making it seem like The Racer was getting the axe and something was replacing it. Yes this isn't a roller-coaster, but hey I still Love it! I'm loving the adrenaline rush slides where the floor will drop below you. I'm going to have to try that next year for sure! As far as the parking lot goes, what's the big deal? It seems fine to me? I Love the new Toll booths planned for next year. The ones that are there now look outdated. All in all, I'm super excited for 2016!

I like your prediction. I really really really hope they don't remove Racer. Me and my sister would cry for sure.

A lot of people might argue that Vortex needs it the most. I guess It's debatable.

Does anybody think that Kings Island might get the Dark ride next year? I mean Kings Island is already known as the trial park for Cedar Fair/Cedar Point. Plus Oiument mentioned they were on the horizon.

A lot of families like Backlot Stunt Coaster. I've seen kids being nervous about riding it before! I want to see the Antique Cars come back, but maybe we have to add them in another area.

Is it just me, or does that look like a big giant Vacuum cleaner? Lol! If anyone witnessed Coaster Stock, bringing back the Antique cars is not impossible. They could still do it, but have to be creative this time around. There is plenty of land between Banshee and Adventure Express.

You know I've heard rumors about Vortex for a few years. If that ride is ever taken out I would shed a tear, but at the same time, they have a good patch of land right there that could do wonders with that land. It's too bad that Cedar Fair doesn't do business with Intamin anymore because I would vote for something like Fahrenheit to go there. Another point I wanted to bring up is, what is going on with that one theater over by Racer? Are they using that for anything? I would vote for the dark ride to go in there in the future. Perfect spot for it!

Will they have another clothing store in the front then? I always found that cool that you had variety of souvenier shops up front. Now It sounds like they won't have one up front.

Are they taking out the Thrill chaser gift shop for Starbucks?

Why is this topic being created? Is Kings Island giving up they're rights to Cedar Fair?

Also, if they decided to remove it, wouldn't they have already done it, or started work on demolishing it? Not necessarily. Remember back in 2012 when Cedar Point announced that Disaster Transport was going to stop operations on the 31st of July? I know this is a Kings Island forum, but I'm just throwing that out there. Your right though, It's highly unlikely that Vortex is going anywhere. It's one of Kings Island signature rides.

My experience riding Banshee blew me away everytime I rode. I felt like at times I was on a spinning ride because of the quick turns, the drops, and the speed. What I really appreciate about this ride is the fact that it has a nice smooth gradual turn into the station unlike Raptor that slams you into the station on it's last turn. Don't get me wrong, Raptor is Awesome, but I'm only disliking the last turn it does. This ride never lets up! I have a feeling Banshee will be the longest Inverted Roller Coaster for a long time considering not too many Inverts are built too much anymore compared to when they first came out.
