  1. I'm still hopeful for a B&M Floorless roller coaster. Ohio needs one since we don't have Dominator anymore.
  2. I really hope they can make a way for Vortex to stay. Yes it's bumpy in some spots, but it's part of Kings Islands skyline of roller coasters. Every park has to have some kind of ride to grow old with too. For example, next year at Cedar Point, Blue Streak will turn 50 years old!
  3. If they are going to put a Giga coaster in, I would love to see them put something in like Intimidator 305. However, my vote is still a Gravity Group wooden roller coaster.
  4. Anybody think they'll have a big fence around the area of Thunder Alley and the SOB former spots? I know Cedar Point likes to use the long brown fences for new construction projects and I would guess we would see the same for Kings Island.
  5. Anybody think they'll have a big fence around the area of Thunder Alley and the SOB former spots? I know Cedar Point likes to use the long brown fences for new construction projects and I would guess we would see the same for Kings Island.
  6. I agree with you buddy. However, I hope we see pictures of the empty land of no SOB and no Thunder Alley.
  7. I like your idea about the relocation of Big Dipper, but I think that would mean Cedar Fair would have to buy it back from the owner. This would also mean that they would have to replace a lot of the wood. From what I heard, a lot of the wood has rotted it out and needs replaced. So to me, the owner is out of his mind of wanting the whole thing transported whole structure in all.
  8. I voted Gravity group because I believe they can really create an interesting layout in SOB spot. I don't know if this would be possible, but it would be cool to see a 90 degree helix. I also believe they could Interact the loop in there.
  9. Anybody besides me notice the guy on the train repeatedly saying ow ow ow? That how I felt when I rode it.
  10. I feel bad for Big Dipper. By the time somebody buys that ride, the only thing that will be good is the chain lift. Maybe Oiment or whatever his name is will bring back Geauga Lake one day.
  11. I agree with you Brian. I mean when SOB was built, at the time it overshadowed The Beast because of it's size and speed. However, I'm sure the ratings for it were low though because all the complaints it had over the years. I think it would be Awesome seeing an Gravity Group wooden roller coaster come in and bring some popularity back to that side of the park. Plus Kings Island has three wooden roller coaster that are traditional. Seeing another wooden roller coaster come that is completely different from the three would be Ideal.
  12. Gravity Group. We need another top 5 roller coaster to fill SOB void. Something similar to Voyage, but fills the old layout of SOB.
  13. ^ What I meant is for Kings Island to build something similar to El Toro or Voyage.
  14. I know Intamin makes wooden roller coasters. I would be just as excited to see Intamin come in with a new wooden roller coaster the same way if Gravity Group were to come in and build another wooden roller coaster. Either one would be a big improvement over SOB. Plus since Cedar Point is up north, I think it would be neat for Kings Island to build something that Cedar Point doesn't have such as a Voyage or El Toro wooden roller coaster.
  15. So that means Don reads this forum and or asks guest opinions of what would be a great new addition for the park and then goes to Cedar Fair?
  16. Is that something Don and Cedar Fair have to agree on as far as a new roller coaster?
  17. I would love to see Gravity Group come in and build another wooden roller coaster, but not sure if Don would agree to it since I asked him on the other thread if he would ever consider putting in a Maverick type roller coaster and he said no way because he doesn't have that kind of money. So based off of that answer, this makes me think that to build a roller coaster similar to Voyage would cost as much as Maverick cost. Does anyone have the money figures of how much the two roller coasters cost?
  18. Don, have you ever considered building a roller coaster like Maverick? Those Intamin style roller coasters are Awesome!
  19. I'm hoping for a Gravity Group wooden roller coaster. Something similar to Voyage, but this time bring back the loop.
  20. I guess that means this topic is almost dead. The only thing that remains is the station.
  21. They're not completely done yet. We still have to talk about them tearing out the footers.
  22. My question is, If they decided to keep SOB station for the Haunt instead of using it again for a new ride, would that old SOB station be in the way of a Future roller coaster?
