Do you plan on putting at least one new dark ride in every CF theme park? Is theming going to be more than just a name from now on? What about offering a Christmas themed event in some/all the parks during December and mid November? How does it feel to be CEO of a CF? Phantom Theater? No, Okay.

What's Up With Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular?
Sonofbeast2.0 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
That reminds me a lot of the "What's next for Son of Beast" thread... One post brings back many positive and negative memories... -
I think the park needs a new dark ride . change Boo's Blasters or The Crypt building getting changed to a new dark ride. Make it more of a "mature" dark ride (ex. Revenge of the Mummy).

What's Up With Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular?
Sonofbeast2.0 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Rip out Starlight and replace with a nightly showing (in the summer) of a 15 min fountain show with music and fireworks synced together. Change Feasthaus, to "Around the World". The show is different each time it's showed too. first one can be american, next one can be Italian and last one can be a Chinese show. Do a Snoopy parade. Throw out candy, sing, dance etc. Finally overlooked usually ounce in the park, but rip most of parking lot apart and build a parking garage. Some changes/upgrades that I think is needed to the park. -
Now that you metion it‚ seems like i did get a virus from this website before too... (Im pretty sure this wasn't the case this time) I was lucky enough to have it cleaned off the computer before it killed it. I wish viruses for computers werent possible... Something that Apple always pushed‚ but even a ps3 can get a virus... It's the way the system is made will effect how defenseful it is. If it has a processor in it‚ odds are it can get a virus.

So the guy emailed me back (rather nice guy) saying that every month a new batch of advertisements comes out, their is a rare off chance that something bad may slip though. Well we figured out odds are that wasn't the problem... the ad company that does their ad's wouldn't allow something like that to happen he said. He said their was a video game ad on the website that said Adults Only and because of that their was some negative feedback and that ad was pulled by the guy in charge of ScreamScape. He told me another guy had a similar issue on his Ipad to find out that is was an app doing it... When I ran my virus scan the first time it said intrusive adware. it was a app I had on my phone for a very long time so I was thinking surly it couldn't of been it to cause it and after drawing a possible conclusion it was probably the app, so that app is gone! So because of the possible chance ScreamScape actually has an issue the title of this is getting changed to Advisory about ScreamScape. Sorry for anyone I got over concerned.

Please look at post #3! I have used the website many times. I use it to find out some of my rumor news for theme/amusement parks (yes I understand not the most reliable website)... Most of you probably know that when you go to a website (with no ad Blocker, because on cell phone) their is a second page that will pop up on the website, the page is just an ad. I usually close it and go on my marry way but... This morning (30min ago) I had a porn website pop up as the second page ad! This upsets me quiet a bit! I am saying this as a warning because NO one wants to be on a park news website and have a porn ad pop up! Before anyone says anything, its NOT because of my past history of websites either........ My phone's web browser is solely used for looking up news. (CNN,IGN, Dvice, ScreamScape etc.) I also assure you none of the websites I used (until today...) have had porn ad(s)!!! I have emailed the guy that is in charge of adding news saying I like the site but a porn ad is unacceptable!

I haven't seen the little fog screen thing on in Boo's Blasters in a long time! I think if we get a dark ride in next 3 or 4 years it would probably be replacing/updating Boo's Blaster's. The guns I wish you actually see where your shooting to (when they work)...

Actually free! most lockers you get 1hr and 30min free. During haunt I have no clue. On a normal day we would put are cups in the lockers for a ride or two then take them out and then reuse same lockers later that day. You don't loose any time either. like if you had your items in the locker for an hour of the 1hr and 30min and then take them out, the next time you use the lockers their free for another 1hr and 30min. I like how they lock too! it uses your fingerprint to lock and unlock. Ohhhhh now i'm hungry for a double patty cheeseburger from Mel's Diner with a side of chili cheese fries! They offer a meal deal that allows you to eat at 3 or 4 restaurants all day for $22. So the meal at Mel's is technically free! You can also buy a cup for $8 and get free refills all day. Me and my family use this often. We probably eat in the park 4-5 times a day...

Sorry, I mean for the most part they were into theming each ride. They gave most of their rides a movie kind of feel. As time went on during Kinzel the ride theming got striped. (I understand some had to be because they didn't buy movie rights or anything). Like lights in FoF as they quit working they weren't replaced and some things with BLSC. Although They tried a little retheming of The Crypt right before it was removed (I think Kinzel was still CEO then?)... Terpy, you are right they took out a lot of theming too.

SHHHH! Don't give people's idea's about "Start Decoding 2015 or 2016 or 2017! for HHN this year I wish they would make some specialty drink that is non alcoholic... That way I can get my brother to get me a $9 drink! I guess I can try a Flaming Moe (some sort of drink you can only get at Universal , they put a chuck of dry ice into the beverage) in Springfield... Have tried Butter beer which is good (I prefer frozen but both are great)! Pumpkin Juice was very good as well! Tasted like a liquid pumpkin pie! It had little flakes of pumpkin in it too. Last year HHN they had INSANE high prices. I think $9.50 for a turkey leg if you were waiting in line for The Walking Dead haunted house! $7.50 for a slice of pizza too! They looked pretty old too. I don't think the zombies would eat them...

I would think an amusement park can be upgraded (or downgraded depending on how you see it) to a theme park. It's what Paramount was doing. Then a theme park can be downgraded (or upgraded depending on how you see it) to an amusement park. It's what Mr.Kinzel was doing. Now we might be going back to theme park‚ shoot maybe a mix!

I would like to see an improvement in quality of shows in the park. Instead of 7 or 8 (I think?) shows bring it down to 3 or 4 and improve the quality of the shows. Maybe do a comedy show possibly mixed with a musical (family showings at 1pm 3pm and 5pm PG 13 showings at 7pm and 9pm). A peanuts show. Popular music 70's 80's 90's and now. For the last show have a show with animals doing tricks. (Like cats and dogs parrot's etc.) Do a night show like Canada's Wonderland. Lasers fireworks water effects lighting effects and some projector's all synced together for one final show of the night at the park. All shows would be 30min long execpt end of the night show which is 15min long. The reason for offering a "PG 13" show is to have some variety. Theirs times im at the park and would like to enjoy a more mature show (or less depending on how you see it ). Note: yes I know this is 5 shows. I mean 3 or 4 shows with live actors.

I think theming will progress a little better as time goes on (not Disney/Universal level). I think we could see a theming level of Paramount again (without movie/tv show names). Wonder what Ouiment thinks of Planet Snoopy at the parks? Has he renewed the contract with the company for snoopy since he has been in CEO of CF or is it about to end soon or is it good for like another 5+ years?

Sorry for double post but some good news! (at least I think so). The Walking Dead, will have scare zones!!! (Walking Dead is the only street experience this year). THE FALL OF ATLANTA The smell of death is in the air as you make your way past an iconic tank, sandbag barriers, and decayed rotting corpses on your journey through this decimated city. But be warned—the city’s not empty. WOODLANDS Tread carefully through these woods, as you never know who you might encounter. Lurking deep in the hidden depths are unforgettable scenes and characters from Seasons 1, 2 and 3. SURVIVOR’S CAMP There’s no one telling ghost stories at this derelict campsite, but there are plenty of undead. Will you dare to go closer to the eerily abandoned RV? Keep your wits about you or you might become a ghost story yourself. THE FARM Something’s burning and it’s not a Sunday roast. Gasoline fumes ignite your senses as you encounter the smoldering remains of a singed country farm. See and smell the putrid barn, the red tractor, and more as you learn what’s causing that horrifying stench. CLEAR Turn around and live—proceed and face your fate. Stick together as you head down this street, because the spiked barriers are there for a reason. If you refuse to heed the spray-painted warnings, you’re in for a terrifying walk that will feel like an eternity. Sorry for "colors", copy and pasted and don't know how to remove the highlighted.. And when I was there the Roller Coaster was $25 a ride. Togo or not Togo... The one is Circus Circus I think might be the worst for me. Didn't ride the one at New York.

So I said in my 2012 trip report for HHN that it was so bad we probably won't be going back for 2013... well looks like I am. I hope this year is much better than last but I have a bad feeling it won't be... Now some of you know I love Universal Studios Orlando, I used to love their Halloween event too. I'm hoping this year can bring back that love! I've been 3 years (this will be 4th). Went 2008 (Bloody Mary), 2009 ( Saw, Chucky, Wolfman) and 2012 (No main theme really). 2009 was the best of the 3 with 2008 being a close second and 2012 well... lets just say KI's haunt was better... (not that I have anything against KI's Haunt! Just its usually a 5/10 compared to all the other haunted houses I go to.) Sadly I think Universal's was one of the worst places I went for haunted houses in 2012! They had what looked like the best line up of haunted houses they have ever had! To find out though that it was a bad year. Here is 2013's haunted house line up and scare zone plans:+ Houses: The Walking Dead: No Safe Haven Resident Evil: Escape from Raccoon City Evil Dead The Cabin in the Woods The American Werewolf in London Urban Legends: La Llorona Havoc: Derailed After Life's Vengeance Scare Zones: The Walking Dead. (please look at post 2 for details) Here's to 2013! Hope it's 10x better than 2012... Note: I will be in Florida for 3 weeks and will also be visiting Disney World.

Favorite coaster EVER
Sonofbeast2.0 replied to BeastForever's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Son of Beast‚ and for steel probably Revenge of the Mummy. -
I hope this ride will use fog machines, some lighting effects, and have some more creepy music playing throughout Queue. I also hope that their shall be tombstones to the left and right of queue and throughout the ride! I like the rendering of the station KI has on their website too! I hope to see this level of theming (or more) on most new attractions CF adds! New dark ride for KI in foreseeable future ( announced in 2016 or 2017)?

New Video: Inside Six Flags New Orleans
Sonofbeast2.0 replied to PREMiERdrum's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
No matter how much a person hates or loves a theme park‚ no matter how big or small the park is‚ no matter the company running it‚ it doesn't even matter if your a theme park lover or not‚ but seeing any theme park close down (unless the park was trying to kill you‚ which is a whole new issue) for almost any reason is sad. I never had a chance to go to LeSourdsville Lake Amusement Park and it saddened me severely when I heard it was getting closed down. (This was before I loved theme parks). Watching these videos are some of the saddest things to watch. I keep thinking‚ what was the reason the theme park closed? What if this is the only theme park in the area for people? Will this land be reused as another theme park? What will happen to all the rides? I could go on and on... To put this into prospective for some people‚ imagine if KI closed up it's doors tomorrow and no company wanted the park‚ so it just sits their to rot... To all struggling theme parks out their‚ I wish you the best and hope you can make it though! -
When they teased DB they said "Run for the hills". They most of been talking about California in the olden days...
