A Quick Look back at the Summer KICentral Day 2013
fanofFirehawk replied to Dane's topic in Kings Island
Flight of Fear looks a lot more graceful off the ride. I really hope I could someday get out to one of these meet ups I feel it would be really fun to meet all you guys. When these are scheduled everyone is welcome right?(assuming they pay) -
Do we know that for sure yet? I mean like have seen any development back there. This picture right here shows equipment and footings being prepped going into the valley. Great, That is superb sign.

I find that interesting, I would think they would of just closed that off before the season started and not midway through construction(of footers).

Well, yes, but no one ever does. Perhaps if it were funny people would...? ^Are you talking about the long ones? Then yes, they are the remains from KC! I find most of your post very informative and entertaining, please, just please don't ruin my view of you. I can see what your saying but that could easily be something else, Maverick has duel supports for the break run. I think it could easily be something other than that, but then again it could very well be an invert. A fan, possibly in denial. But those duel supports look to wide for a sitdown. That is true the more I study the photographs, the more I see the invert, maybe I just didn't want to see it but your probably right.
-
Probably, I mean a kid managed to wiggle his way out of a Drop Tower seat. But even if you did I still don't think you'd fall out of the train, it might hurt a substantial amount, but I don't think you'd fall out.

I was watch the coaster buzz interview with Matt Ouimet and I found something interesting. Skip to about 8:25ish

Well, yes, but no one ever does. There.. Ya Happy now? After watching Dick Kinzel interviews, yes, that cheered me up a lot. Thanks

Wow, I'm surprised how high flight deck ranks on everyone else's ranking list. 1.Firehawk 2.Diamondback 3.FlightDeck 4. Drop Tower and Delirium would take this spot but this is coasters so Flight of Fear 5.Beast 6. Backlot Stunt Coaster 7. The Racer 8. Invertigo 9. Adventure Express 10. Vortex

I love how everyone just skips over my post.

Hmmm... Now there are 2 triangular footers. The footers are facing each other as if going to be supporting a slingshot. Fake News Report: Earlier today Kings Island unveiled a plans for a brand new attraction Son of Slingshot Along with another counterpart Slingshot jr. We all look forward to these amazing new attractions coming 2014. Wow that may have the most stupid I have ever typed... In my life...

The similar center mold used previously on other B & M footers. Please refer to post # 3512 for comparison. Is it a definitive sign? No. But certainly makes it likely. Okay, thanks I just wanted a little evidence as to why it was pointing to a B&M, which apparently there is.
-
Thank you, Paramount.
-
I can actually see that. For the first time I can see what others can see.
-
I don't know if this has been mentioned, cause sometimes this thread is a little hard to follow. But do some of the unfilled footers look like they'll be cylindrical footers rather than the square ones we've seen earlier.
-
Can someone tell me why the footers point so clearly to a B&M at such an early stage?

Dream killer...

Are you saying we might get a duel LSM launching terra coaster. A hopeful fan. Possibly eluding my himself into what he wants to read.

The front of line pass for Gatekeeper is from what I observed a better, faster queue than just a 1 time Fast Lane pass. The typical fastlane takes past most of line but miss you in with everyone else on the stairs, but the front of the line pass takes you through the exit and strait up on to plat form and on the ride.

I highly doubt it, I know we can't, but I pretty much have. And yes with SOB in everyone's minds the uninformed park goers they could easily make the mistake that the wooden coaster residing where the previous wooden SOB had once stood is the previous coaster, and the park doesn't want that. And the current layout of the supports so far would resemble a modern steel coaster rather then wooden. Edit : Looks like silver2005 sort of beat me too it.
