I'm not one to start rumors (often) But I got a message 2 weeks ago stating that someone could not find the Fast Lane information on the website... Today I did a search on the site, and I found that there is absolutely no information about Fast Lane available anywhere, and trying the Fast Lane web address brings up nothing. I figured that they were updating it, but when I went to other sites operated by Cedar Fair, I found that their Fast Lane stuff is still available. There are also no tickets available for Fast Lane at Kings Island. The Fast Lane symbols on the Thrill-Rides, and Family-Ride sections are still there, but that could mean anything. Figure I'd let you all know on the situation right now that I've been trying to look into.

They usually call about mid-February, sometimes early February. I believe, of my experience, I got my call to set up an interview with them, around the 14th. (I hope this helps!) It happened quite often as I worked there. Many people wouldn't realize that they were just about next to it when they asked me about the location of the ride. I'm glad I see that they're putting in a new entrance for the canyon! By the way, Just a simple, yet good question. Are they getting rid of the smoking area between Rivertown restroom smoking area, and the Diamondback smoking area? It certainly looks like it.

Now that I have visited Cedar Point this past summer. I am going to give a very good opinion about this. While yes, Kings Island has a good set of rides, world records, and history to it. Cedar Point still betters Kings Island. There are just so many more things at Cedar Point that shows more amusement park history than at Kings Island. What is Kings Island historically known for? opening the golden age of roller coasters in '72 with The Racers, and also having the longest wooden coaster in the world, as well as the first successful attempt at a Wooden loop? Sure. Alright. I'll give you those. Cedar Point however, has shattered the height barrier 3 times (200+ 300+ and even 400+) Not only that it holds so many more records now like the tallest loop. and even the most world famous rides that everyone knows about, such as Corkscrew. Everybody knows Corkscrew... But as said, this is my opinion. I think Cedar Point is better than Kings Island. (Other than the Employee aspect of the park...)

Kings Island. Your hinting is showing.

I'm not one to spread rumors... often. But they seem to be only showcasing nostalgia, and the wooden coasters.

Ahh. I see how you got 88 acres compared to me getting 76 or so. I did not include areas of the parking lot that were already repaved. (Preferred + Handicap) Due to obvious reasons of why tear up road that was nicely redone and happy the way it is.

I feel like Terp would love to like his own posts.

I like how this new entrance is shaping up to be!
-
Doing calculations... The size of the lot is 76* acres. (As a guestimate really, since the new parking lot does not show up on google earth which is why the * is there.) and I'd say that's probably how much is really going to remain, there might be new parking areas where the old south lanes were once at.

Or it could be a new offer Park in the freshly paved parking lot when you purchase a gold pass or platinum pass.
-
I can measure it tonight and find out.
-
Could you confirm? What is the paving company's name? When are they going to do it? Just figured it's best to confirm.
-
They better make it not extremely accurate like it was in the demonstration, because I would find that a complete rip off if the goal can calculate exactly where the ball will go.

8 years ago, and this topic scared me. Because I'm one of the few people (Few as in may thousands) who actually like Cedar Fair and how they run things and don't complain.
-
I don't get why the area was razed. It had plenty of business. Sure they just placed money in for the new one, but the other one still had plenty of business.

New game coming to rivertown in 2016! Soccor Challenge From Twitter. With the hint "Watch the goalie before kicking the ball toward the net."
-
Alright, thanks. I think it could be easy to tell when that horrific sight of asphalt is an even more horrific sight, but if would be so lovely, and buttery smooth (I hope at least) once/or if they are repaving it!
-
I'd love to see that picture.

If one is riding rides after public hours, shouldn't it be called LRT (Late Ride Time)? Just sayin'
-
You'd be surprised how many there actually are. I've met a few. A lot come straight from Kings HS. I believe with the El-nino weather we have, the team took that into account and had a decision to open the park a little earlier than normal. Though recent years it has gone up, but the park has opened even earlier than this before.

Figured I'd add a banner to this post of Banshee. I'll change it to a photo of either the new waterslide set, or the Parking toll once opening day is upon us.

Looking at some pictures of the construction... I don't think they're putting new asphalt in, (At least around the entrance) The reason why I state this, is because they already asphalted the parking lot near the entrance, and that just makes me think that they are not going to do that area. Maybe in the other areas like near the walk way. Could we see a new grassy area near the sign just like the path from the road to the entrance (The road between the grassy areas is what i'm referring to.) twit-pic I could be wrong, but it looks like they're not going to add more to the parking lot, but then again, that edge does look very rough. Time will tell, time will tell. I believe the person meant the multi-park cup offer.

Happy New Years! I know I posted this just a few short hours (6 hours) before the new years, but since I will be busy at the midnight hour when I wanted to post this... I decided to post it now. With a new year, that means a new discussion thread for Kings Island! This year is the 2016 season, or 45/44th season at the park.

Not sure about anyone else. But if and when Diamondback ever becomes deconstructed for future planning (Probably beyond 2040. Maybe even longer.) I wouldn't mind getting one of these. (Twitter Pic KI)

Okay? But what's the point in randomly showing off wheels, and imply that they got new wheels this year, making it sound as if the wheels from last year were the wheels from 2009, when Diamondback opened?
