  1. My avatar is Throwback to Day 1 of Banshee speculation.
  2. But at the same time, it also looks like the Smoking area was removed as well. Which makes sense, that's actually a pretty bad position for a smoking area, being right next to a food & Patio area.
  3. They might have someone directing cars. Or they are automatic, BUT there is still a booth there in the off chance it does happen.
  4. It would go well... but... Where can we even put Rapids at? Get rid of the old Crypt building? Nah, there's a haunt in there now. Congo Falls still gets some people, enough to keep the ride running, the bridge is good on a hot summer day.
  5. A food truck for show, but never used. Until the now infamous Food Truck Festival
  6. Someone stated about the White Water Canyon Lockers being torn down as well? I'm looking at the Webcam right now and I can still see the lockers there, right where the Soccor game is going to be. So I don't believe they're being removed. Or else they would've at least been gone by now.
  7. All of this Rivertown planning is making me wonder if there actually is something possibly coming within the next year or two. I'm hoping not another Haunt Attraction. While we have plenty already, we don't need more HOSB's (Haunt Only Standing Buildings)
  8. Complaints about Cedar Point There is hardly a lot to complain about when it comes to Cedar Point... But there are a few things I want to point out... First off, ride operators especially in the Frontier seem a bit more on the rude side. Specifically one polish ride operator who always seemed to give us attitude about specific things. Also, for some reason you aren't allowed to put basketballs into the bins at Cedar Point because apparently it knocks drinks over when it moves (Please note, the basketball I had was small, and not only that. if I set it in the bin, it wouldn't be moving anyways) Food wise? Eh.. We went to one sit down restaurant, and the Mac n' Cheese was perfect by all standards. I just wish there were more options that I would've liked, other than mini-corndogs and Mac N' Cheese.
  9. I really wanted to ride Rougarou when it was Matis, I want to experience a standup coaster before they all disappear... Yeah. It is a big difference.
  10. Don't you mean... X-pand X-base? Also. Restrooms please. X-base is between the Mexican Grill, and the WindSeeker restrooms and there is no in between.
  11. To those who mention it... There will be a season pass preview night this year. More than likely to preview the new gate and renovations in Rivertown more than anything. But there is still going to be one. It will be on the 15th of April this year (One day before Opening day) Friday Night everyone!
  12. It seemed like they are trying to be conservative. No construction on the weekends, only the weekdays when it's a tad bit less busy. At least until July hits.
  13. This is all expected to be done by a few years. December '16 is just for KI Drive alone.
  14. I will also like to give out a reminder to everyone for this year, this will also be posted on the first post.
  15. About the nostalgia that Don has been posting, does this have anything to do with it? http://www.latimes.com/travel/themeparks/la-trb-cedar-fair-flat-rides-20160206-story.html (Another topic has been made about this story, but I figured It'd be good to have here as well.)
  16. Onto Thrill Rides! Most of the rides are at Kings Island, so I don't say much about many of them. Power Tower I really love the Shot up side of this, I absolutely love the Power Tower more than anything! It's more smooth, and feels more free-fall like, than Drop Tower. Skyhawk This ride is just, weird. I don't know, but I love it! Super Hymalaian This ride is certainly interesting, though I'd probably not ride it again. Witches Wheel This ride feels weird, but I love it a lot! I'd expect me to ride it again. (Still More to come)
  17. I realized that I never really gave a Trip Report for my trip to Cedar Point for the first time ever. This was the first time I EVER left Kings Island and went to another amusement park, I'm finally branching out! Though I don't remember TOO, too much about what I did. I can give honest reviews of all of the rides and such. I want to start with roller coasters, going from A to Z fashion, and not specifically in order) Blue Streak This honestly was a surprisingly fun ride! Certainly get the feel of how much time has changed from riding Banshee to Blue Streak! Iron Dragon The second swinging coaster I've ever ridden, It certainly has a more scenic view compared to "The Bat" at Kings Island, but I'd say it's not as thrilling as the ride (Other than the end) The Mist is AMAZING on a hot day. Magnum XL-200 When we first got to the park, this was going to be the first ride we would've ridden, but since it was closed in the morning we had to move on to something else. But when we rode it later, it was quite enjoyable, a tad bit bumpy, but what do you expect from that type of ride. I'd say it's awesome! Just don't stick your hands out to the side (Someone did that on our ride, and they were smacking the support columns (Ouch)) Millennium Force 7 words for this ride. DO NOT RIDE IT IN THE RAIN, That HURTS. But other than that, the ride is awesome! And I'd love to continue riding it! (My first ride to hit 300ft Cedar Creek Mine Ride This adventurous little coaster takes you up, down and all around Cedar Creek. The ride is basically another version of Adventure Express with a different layout. Though I probably won't see myself riding it again. Mean Streak The first ride to honestly give me a headache (Vortex never gives me one) I do not plan on riding this ever again. (Maybe) Though the ride is certainly unique! Maverick I am now obsessed over Maverick! It is one of the greatest rides I've ever ridden, and it is one of the only rides that I will have an official counter for it, that I will always keep track of! (Currently 2) I will ALWAYS Ride this ride going to CP Wicked Twister Certainly a fun ride, though It feels very weird when you're falling back down (Facing backwards) Other than that, It's a fun ride. Gemini I don't really remember much about riding this ride, I do remember riding it, but I guess it wasn't as exhilarating riding it. I may ride it again. Rougarou Unique in style, especially with the floorless coaster, but It's honestly very rough for it's age, especially for a B&M Raptor Once again, another rough B&M, I guess they just don't age well. BUT I want to say this. That second corkscrew right before the camera caught me by a SHEER surprise. I was honestly frightened by the sudden appearance of that second corkscrew. So I love this ride! Gatekeeper I rode both sides of the Keeper of Gates, though I don't remember which one I liked more (I'm going to guess the back right) Top Thrill Dragster I'm not going to ride this in the front anymore after I tried that, It's an awesome ride! Though I wish I witnessed/was apart of the infamous rollback. Maybe next time. Corkscrew "Eh" Is literally all I have to say about this ride, I'll probably not ride this again. (More to Come)
  18. If SIX bought FUN combind, I really don't think there would be much left of Kings Island once that conversion takes place (At least IMO) Not only that, but Six would ruin Kings Island, if they didn't get rid of it. BUT. if FUN bought SIX there'd be a whole different story (One I'd like really) I'm more afraid of Six buying FUN than I am FUN buying out SIX.
  19. I believe that way of Fast Lane generates more fairness for those who are not fortunate enough to buy fast pass for everyone. I like the way they do it at Cedar Point more so than at Kings Island, since it does give off that bit of fairness that has always been needed when it comes to this type of system. It allows people to still wait in line, you just get into more of the front of the line.
  20. This is precisely the reason that I've never shelled out the money to get Fast Lane at Cedar Point. I've been to Cedar Point on moderate days and seen 45 minute Fast Lane waits for Millennium Force and Maverick. I don't plan on shelling out any money on Fast Lane there until they raise the price enough where it cuts down the Fast Lane wait times on the most popular coasters to more reasonable levels. They're heading in the right direction with this - last year there were many days that Fast Lane Plus was over $100, but even then there are still lengthy Fast Lane lines. Why shell out all that cash and still have to physically wait in long lines? There is no way to change the wait of Fast Lane rides on moderate days no matter what. Cedar Point puts Fast Lane people into the ride line later into the line instead of waiting through the whole queue. Raising the price will not solve anything. At Cedar Point they only allow Fast Lane people get mostly ahead of the line, and not straight to the front of the line like that of Kings Island. Example... Cedar Point on the left, Kings Island on the right. I am going to the park tomorrow, I will take photos of the construction going on while I'm there. (If I can see it/get a decent picture of it)
  21. The food truck festival was a very large hit for the park last year, Not surprised to see it again this year.
  22. A good question for someone who knows the answer. There is a lake next to White Water Canyon, Does that lake feed into White Water?
  23. This was my thought as well. But when I looked on other sites, they still have their information available. Especially Cedar Point, who is actually getting a new ride for the year. I just, don't know. I tried to check everything out to be sure before even making the post on the concern.
