As described by most enthusiasts, a batwing contains a half corkscrew or twist, half loop, half loop, then another half corkscrew or twist. A pretzel loop does not include twists, imagine it as an upside-down loop. Banshee's Batwing http://cache.rcdb.com/gr805l6i6fg0009dn20000.jpg the pretzel loop from Tatsu http://cache.rcdb.com/5e301is76080023q3c6ej0.jpg The only other difference is the track is the inverse of normal in pretzel loops. (The track is designed to be inverted, but isn't at the bottom of the pretzel loop.)

But let's remember, Firehawk wasn't designed for Kings Island, but Banshee is.

Which element on a ride is your favorite? Any element from past, present, or future can be shared. My favorite element is either Firehawk's loop or Vortex's Boomerang/Batwing at the end of the ride.

I just like how King's Island first zero-g roll is coming together.

I think Clifford is raising the last piece for the dive loop.

I'll post on topic, but I read somewhere that under the station was a replica control room for the queue, since the station is supposed to represent a flight carrier.
-
Looks to be 45 degree angle of ascent.

Don't forget the restaurant upstairs from the entrance. The entrance has nothing wrong with it. It backs up International Street more than a modern entrance. It would make more sense to have a separate entrance for pass holders and have more turnstiles open for the ticket holders.
-
They probably have it planned to focus on Halloween Haunt while the ride awaits lift pieces. They will complete track work out front then bring in the station crew and concrete for the queue after the area is done.

Invertigo will stay for a while longer. One, it's the ride that grabs attention to guest while they enter the park. Two, it is a limited ride, with about 5 other Invertigos around. Three, it is still a popular ride and Banshee may provide it with more ridership like it will with Flight Deck. ΔΔΔ The Racer is an ACE classic, and the revival coaster of the amusement industry. It also runs side-by-side for most of the ride, not a lot of land to get. ΔΔΔΔ Since when would Invertigo effect these rides? Timberwolf draws HUGE crowds for Spirit Song, Congo does well, especially on hot days, and Flight Deck is farther back and can still pull 30 minute waits on certain days. Banshee will only increase ridership to the rides. No big coaster will be in the works for Action Zone after Banshee, but X-Base... EDIT: got beat by two.

It looks we have the #1 new ride for 2014 and a top 5 on the charts for best steel coaster. I wonder about capacity a bit, but not with concern.

I had the train right after yours, row 14.

I was at the park today and Diamondback shut down after I left the ride. I heard the restraints loosened, but didn't fatally fail. Anyone else hear about it?
-
I like the idea, maybe lower the middle two seats from the rest. I should probably stop talking about inverted wing riders, I did joke around with the idea.

EDIT: Sorry, mobile glitch.
-
So a 6-seated invert is what your saying.
-
In my opinion, the blue prints are a... diversion. The layout doesn't look like a world record breaking attraction, it's not long, seems very unlikely to be tall, and there's a lack of the inversions needed to be record breaking coaster.

The fact that KI only has four operating coasters with inversions, and newer hyper with a one of a kind splashdown moves the nose of the compass south from a giga. Its repetitive to ride coasters with airtime and lat GS than positive GS. If we follow CW, then wouldn't we have all ready an invert and a giga to come. We are not following the path, its crucial to mix the lineups a bit from park to park to make each park a destination in its own right instead of the same spread out. How many parks have a stratacoaster AND a Gigacoaster? How many parks have the worlds longest woodie? How many parks have racing coasters in two states? Each park has something unique about them. And since Cedar Fair owns ever gigacoaster except one, a giga is least likely to ever happen, a blitz coaster or even an old Schwarzkopf coaster could show before a gigacoaster.
-
An invert can be just as good than a giga, and referring to another post, a giga would make Diamondback a waste of money because a gigs would drown Diamondback, it sensible that the park creates a smaller coaster to increase park attendance and ridership. If a giga would be placed, Diamondback would be gone before any next coaster, sounds like a bad deal to waste 22 million to spend another 30 million and ruin a good name to a park, because I would like to ride Diamondback into the sunset as a popular ride and not a ride collecting rust and dust. B&M doesn't like gigas and intamin isn't the most trusted with their rides, and there's a giga up state from the construction site, so why bother.

I'm calling the invert, 150-200 ft with 7 inversions, a loop, dive loop, zero g roll, 2 corkscrews and 2 zero g rolls. No coaster has budged Vortex off its spot in ki since 87 about inversions, its been 25 years plus since a sit down coaster threatened Vortex on inversions. Invert is the only choice, so face the facts everyone because everything else is played out.

I absolutely adore hyper coasters, especially B&M's with tons of airtime. Steel coasters are the smoothest way to enjoy the speed and height of the ride. Airtime provides an even more thrilling experience than loops that keep you in your seats. I enjoy both height and speed, but the anticipation of a 300-foot ride with trims on it would kill the purpose. having inversions and airtime would balance the forces and create a great ride. The day there is a winged hyper coaster at 230 is the day that I design my own roller coasters (hopefully). That's why I prefer King's Island over Cedar Point, the fact that Diamondback stands over Rivertown with its pride red.

Loophole (I think) FOtR is the sixth, not fifth unless they labelled raptor as 0.
-
It is almost certainly headed to Kentucky Kingdom, they already announced a new roller coaster which is uncertain on what it is.
