How exactly did the trams work in our parking lot?
-
Found it! "The Demon reigned supreme, striking fear in the hearts of many park guests for years. Then in 1979, a force of nature arrived in the form of a Beast who sought to take the land from the Demon's reign. The Demon fought The Beast for eight long years until 1987 when it was defeated and sucked into a Vortex. Knowing that a retaliation was inevitable, The Beast sent his son to guard the area where the Demon once stood. Retaliation came many years later in 2012 when a creature in the form of a Banshee descended upon the park and killed the Son of Beast with an ear piercing scream. With the Son of Beast gone, the Banshee could finally resurrect her long deceased brother- the Demon. Now bigger and stronger than ever before, the Demon is back with a vengeance."

Copy cat Just kidding it seems like a pretty Flawless idea. I had the idea of resurrecting the demon as a dive coaster a couple years ago and I made a huge story about it tying into Banshee and Son of Beast. I got to find the link to that somehwere.

Why do you think this took so long to tease as opposed to Banshee and MT?
-
I was thinking the same thing. It would kill its ridership if it did close down, especially with it being a new ride. Maybe they'll relocate the launchpad to another location

Recently it has been at night with Banshee and Mystic Timbers, however that was when there was a lot left to speculate and a lot of unkowns. This time around almost everything has been found out, similar to Diamondback, which leads me to believe its a day announcement.

Kings Dominion 2020
SonofBaconator replied to Maverick44's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I honestly think they'll play if safe and get something reliable like a B&M coaster, which takes time to plan. With BGW not too far away there's not much left from B&M to choose from so a wing coaster would be the most likely choice in my opinion. -
GL had, in my opinion, the weakest layout of the 3 major Ohio parks. Even if Cedar Fair hadn't aquired it, I still think it would gone under at some point in its life.
-
Green lanterns, Kingda Ka, Helix, Hulk, Raptor are what come to mind Red and blue are still dominant when it comes to coaster colors though
-
I'd prefer a maroon and black dive called the Demon

I have a couple stuff but it would be nice to have a little home office or a space for amusement park memorabilia. I thought about recreating the Son of Beast teaser crate and use it as an ottoman

Soooo what now?
-
Is that Kings Dominion Flight of Fear? I don't recall the helicopter pad

^Too bad the Centurion trademark went dead

Bumping a thread This is still a relevant topic especially with the addition of the 2020 coaster. I think Xbase is the most feasable for expansion in the park. However I'd prefer for more out-of-the-park expansion. For example, park owned eateries, similar to how Cedar Point operates the DQ and the Quaker State before you hit the causeway. I'm also curious if Kings Island would purchase the campground that is being built. I believe Kings Island had the option to purchase the Great Wolf Lodge but opted out but I could be wrong. I think it would be cool to have a smaller scale resort type atmosphere at Kings Island similar to the park used to have when it opened.

Well I would love another launch coaster, I don't see us having a third one (see multilaunch coaster thread) anytime soon. A lot of coasters we've gotten recently have been there as replacement coasters for other rides like Banshee and the 2020 coaster and I hope we get off that trend because I wouldn't want to lose any coaster. I wholeheartedly believe however that if we were to get a new coaster it would be towards the Action Zone area just to maintain the attraction triangle in the park. If you notice in terms of coaster additions at flip-flops pretty significantly. I call this the "triangle theory": Coney Mall/Xbase gets Firehawk in 2007 Rivertown gets Diamondback in 2009 Action Zone gets Banshee in 2014 Rivertown gets Mystic Timbers in 2017 Coney Mall/Xbase gets coaster in 2020 With that being said I think that our next big coaster will come to Action Zone and if we're going by current logic it would most likely replace Invertigo and Congo Falls

Couldn't have said it better myself This thread has become obsolete. A huge majority of these the Pages has been talking about other things that don't pertain to this topic, arguments on whether the blueprints are legitimate or not, Etc. This thread goes through about 5 pages a day and maybe one or two posts on those pages contain actual relevant information worth decoding. Anybody can go down to the city of Mason and get information but once that information is received there's not much to decode is there? A lot of us of try to keep this read on topic by bringing up certain things such as theme, and some of the few things left to decipher, but people continue to go off topic. I remember joining this forum back in 2012 knowing nothing about what was going to come after Son of Beast or what would come in 2017 and that was fun. I only come on this thread anymore to speculate but everything's already been pretty much confirmed by blueprints to the point where there's nothing left decode. If this thread is going to exist as a decoding thread then people should post stuff that pertains to decoding. The funs already been ruined so we might as well get as much information is we can out of it.

This sums up people's anger exactly. Its like peaking at your Christmas presents too early.
-
No, @THE_BEASTmaster is right. People are to blame for this. Everyone wants to be the one to leak the information which ruins the fun. Its like spoiling Avengers Endgame after seeing it on opening night. People just can't resist. Concepts from Dustin have been awesome but I would have rather it been a suprise. And its not like you can just leave the internet- its everywhere. It was fun when the most we knew was it was a coaster by B&M and that was all.

My question is if the storage building will permanently be for floats or if it'll serve a different purpose after the event ends in July.
-
Okay so lets speculate 2020 X-Base. How intense do you think theming will be? What will happen to the area where the Grand Carnevale floats are? (Will that just be the permanent home)? Will the area be its own section? What other changes will we see?

Because this thread sees about 3-5 pages a day and a chunk of it has nothing to do with decoding. You leave the site on page 230 and come back an hour later and we're already at page 233. Most of what could be decoded already has so there isn't much left to talk about.
