  1. Then SF should approach CF to sell their parks- not buy the company
  2. You have to stay with the current events I guess. Must be hard to loop videos while giving opinions.
  3. He's credible in that he's been to a lot of amusement parks across the globe and can give detailed reviews on each of them but I wouldn't rely on him for stuff like this.
  4. It isn't green though..
  5. Idk why they haven't tried something like a campground with ziplines, lake activities, etc.
  6. Priorities change. They were supposed to get a hyper in 2020 but that hasn't gone past speculation found when they announced their future development plans.
  7. If you want to get technical Dorney and Great Adventure overlap but there isn't any competition there
  8. They can't even open their coasters on time how can they expect to manage 12 additional parks?
  9. Mike Brown... I hope people on here understand sarcasm
  10. Everyone knows I'm big on polls and this one's no exception. I'm going to make this a poll only thread so we can keep the discussion in the rumor section of the site. I would like to know what people think through physical data.

  11. Call me an anarchist but I don't like big chain companies. I think CF succeeds because they don't operate as many parks as Six.
  12. Another thing to consider is licensing. Would Snoopy and the Gang leave in favor of Bugs Bunny and DC characters?
  13. Wasn't there a talk of CF selling the park in 2011?
  14. IF this happens, I think Six should adopt CF's business model. I couldn't see Cedar Fair letting Six Flags touch its big 4 parks: CP, KI, CW, and CWS Marvel does not simply merge with DC
  15. Here's a better link from @BeeastFarmer https://seekingalpha.com/news/3503468-cedar-fair-six-flags-merger-report-discounted In all honesty, I couldn't see CF working with Six because they're polar opposite companies imo.
  16. Here's the link https://www.streetinsider.com/Hot+M+and+A/Six+Flags+Entertainment+(SIX)+in+Bid+to+Acquire+Cedar+Fair+L.P.+(FUN)+-+Reuters/15974068.html I don't know how legit this source is since I need to sign up for a free trial and I don't see this news on any other form of media (as of now).
  17. Beat me to it! I'm excited for this and it might warrant a trip out to KC. I'm happy Cedar Fair works with steam locomotives and just doesn't remove them or convert them to diesel. The locomotive will be named Levi. I hope they restore it to its original color scheme of Orange/Red and Blue! https://www.worldsoffun.com/blog/2019/worlds-of-fun-railroad-update?fbclid=IwAR3_qPQ4pzQjQtqNrhekPzZlJkFN9B4Kh7VxApT4zsRqKu1IMMUoCUPnVLk http://parkfans.net/thread-1541.html
  18. Those are all owned by different companies so they might have a different view on service life.
  19. @VortexBFForever^ Your thoughts?
  20. Thoughts? I personally think he has a point
  21. Plus with a dive we'd get a max of 4 inversions. Floorlesses generally have 7. To answer your question @Kingshaven, there was always talk on here a replacing Vortex with a floorless years ago. That idea kind of got put on the back burner because everybody was talking about a giga. Now that we have a giga that talk has sprung back up. In all honesty a floorless would be an appropriate replacement for Vortex just because they basically are smoother versions of arrow loopers with better transitions. We could opt for a sit-down B&M like Kumba, Wildfire, Etc but I think the talk of a floorless is always on the table because it's just one little extra gimmick that the GP would love. Now that Cedar Fair hasacquired some different types of rides like Raptors, Infinity coasters, and multi launches I think everybody is just rushing to the conclusion that those will be the most likely coasters. A lot of people forget that Kings Island doesn't really follow the trend of coasters around the chain- they always do something new and unique. I think adding a floorless coaster would bring back that uniqueness since Cedar Fair hasn't done a ground up floorless in over a decade. I'll finish off with this- when we heard about Orion everybody immediately started to compare it to Leviathan and Fury saying it was inferior instead of looking at for what it was- a giga. If we get a floorless coaster you can only really compare it to the older models around the chain and across the industry which allows us to differentiate our selves.
