  1. Inverts were scarce following 2007 yet we got one in 2014.
  2. @BeastForever I don't disagree that a dive would be sick, but I'm concerned about how little we would get vs a floorless or t-rex. It might cost more to add a dive than it would a floorless. Plus I could only see us getting a max of 4 inversions unless they make the height around 170ft to not out-do Yukon Striker. A traditional floorless looper just seems like the safest option to me
  3. I don't like the OTSRs personally. If they could find a way to add vest restraints to floorless trains I'd be all for it.
  4. I want something similar to this except floorless: Height: 170ft Length: 4,000ft+ Inversions: 7+ Tallest, fastest, and longest floorless coaster (basically a record-breaking sitdown/floorless Banshee)
  5. It was originally part of Coney. I don't know who changed it on the Wikipedia page. That plot of land is odd because it was always 1/2 Coney Mall. 1/2 Rivertown. As it stands, it makes more sense to consider BLSC a part of Coney Mall. With Vortex's removal, it might make it a little easier for boundaries to be made.
  6. I would rework the paths surronding the greenspace so that there is more land on either side. That plaza doesn't need to be as big as it is anyway. In all honesty I'd like to see BLSC added to Rivertown and rethemed during an off year. Remove the police cars, billboards, helicopter etc and retheme it to the west (or even to the derby since KY isn't too far away) Something like this would fit the theme.
  7. As long as its the same capacity as Vortex I'll be fine with that
  8. After Orion, and if Vortex gets replaced, I want more coasters that are lower to the ground and focus on tighter elements. We need a looping coaster back in our roster but after that I would like more family oriented rides like a spinner
  9. I'd say relocate slingshot and *maybe* Xtreme Skyflyer to A72
  10. This has been in my head for days: IF Kings Island got their giga before Carowinds, would it have been bigger? Would we have gotten a coaster more similar to Fury 325 while Carowinds got something more like Orion? Would we have gotten the Orion style design regardless? Would we have gotten a completely different type of giga? I'm excited for the ride, I just want to hear some thoughts
  11. Come again? People love inversions.
  12. If a dive replaces Vortex it would have a max of 4 inversions, unless CF intends to break Yukon Striker's record. We lost 11 inversions towards the end of the 2010s with the removal of Firehawk and Vortex so I'd like to see thoee numbers go back up. Valravn cost around 23 million if that gives you some perspective.
  13. Anything that matches Vortex's height requirement is a step in the right direction. A spinning coaster would be fun but Macks are expensive as heck. I still think a Dive would look weird next to Diamondback; I would still want a Dive in Action Zone though.
  14. We're in a weird spot. Do we innovative and take risks or play it safe? We've been in the "Play it safe" bus for years following the additon of SOB. Cedar Fair has added 3 B&Ms and 1 GCI- all safe moves. I feel like their choices to not bring a lot of innovative rides to KI in favor of safer ones is to give the park good PR. If we got a T-Rex I would be a little suprised because that would but is back in the innovative/high risk category. Don't get me wrong I would love a single rail, high capacity, coaster; but with new models comes problems. Would it be safer to get rides like a B&M Dive or possibly a Floorless? Those coasters are certainly GP eaters and wouldn't upset them in the least. Enthusiasts would be disappointed that we would be getting our 4th B&M but at the end of the day, the GP are the main targets.
  15. Why not fix both AZ and OF?
  16. Will monitor for future development. Personally I'd love a smaller scale, lower budget "Tower of Terror" themed to a mine shaft
  17. Not sure if you're breaking the 11th commandment or not
  18. Where would those slides be relocated and what would replace them? Also with Congo Falls, are shoes, pants, etc required to ride? If so it would be a hassle to walk back to your locker or area your stuff is, get your clothes, and wait in line.
  19. I think there needs to be a WOW factor like a water coaster or something. Or this
  20. I think the exterior of the building needs to be updated. Maybe try to encase the box a little more
  21. But you get a lot of perks with staying. Early entry, discounted tickets, bundles, free parking, etc. If you have a camper I'd say its pretty affordable. If you're staying in a cabin or cottage you are paying a lot more because of the utilities, housekeeping, etc. I personally think its worth it
  22. How much of DA's land was used for Orion? Rough guesses?
  23. One of the best campgrounds ever built in my biased opinion
