Don't they have a height restriction? Also it must be hard when there's tons of other parks in the state, especially with LA being only two hours away

I would take the opportunity to update the midway or create something new. Like I said, BLSC's plaza doesn't need to be that big. They could really open that area up and add at least one flat ride. They could even rework the BLSC entrance to face Diamondback (by the restrooms) and rework that whole plaza to maybe accommodate more changes as well as parts of Vortex's old turnaround behind LaRosa's. I'm thinking either Rivertown expansion where they work around the land surrounding BLSC facing Diamondback and the old Vortex land like CP's Frontier trail https://www.themerica.org/blog/2018/12/23/cedar-point-03 or creating something new like the Gemini Midway at CP http://www.placeworkshop.com/project/cedar-point-gemini-midway/

Will the land be altered? Will it be untouched? If a coaster were to replace it, would it use all of the land it sat on or less? Will we see Coney Mall open up a little bit?

It isn't, but it happened. We don't have no say in what someone does with their drone. And concerning people viewing the drone footage, its basic curiosity. If someone said that they found out certain info, I'd be interested to see what they found. I'm not condoning the drone operator, but its like your older brother peeking at your Christmas presents and you being curious to see what he found. I myself am not the one who tresspassed and broke park rules. People know the risks of what they do and still do them. Sure he did it so other people can see, but we didn't ask him to do it. I agree with Farmer, its done so move on.

Tresspassing is wrong, and more importantly illegal. However with that being said, it is not worth getting all personally worked up about. People make bold decisions all the time. As I recall we used to have members fly in planes above the park just to get ariel shots. Having some random nerd fly a drone over the park isn't going to affect you all as members of this site and as general park goers. I'm sure the park is looking into the origin of the video to identify the individual who tresspassed. Just follow the rules and look out for yourselves and everything will be okay.

Possibly if they want to have a filler coaster without actually building a coaster. If they can't change the trains, at least paint them a different color and change the theming a bit. It still screams Italian Job to me

Something else to note: Rivertown Expansion. If SR&R and BLSC are considered Rivertown, who's to say that a replacement coaster might encourage an overall retheme of that small midway? BLSC gets rethemed to something less GTA V, (the horse idea that I've been preaching for eons), the land surrounding BLSC gets reworked to accommodate newer additions, and the sections become more defined.

I've been preaching this for a while now- change the trains from cars to horses like Pony Express and change the Italian Job/ GTA V theming to something more western. Spend a couple mil and market it as a new coaster during an off year when we have a gap between coasters.

CP kinda needs a Ferris Wheel because of the lake side views and the lack of observation rides aside from WS. KI doesn't really need a Ferris Wheel unless you put it along the Coney Mall midway. At that point I'd rather bring back the skyride.

Anyone have any ideas for future theming that they'd like to see the park implement? I'll start I'd like to see Oktoberfest/Action Zone become more defined in their theming; I still think a rebrand to a dark forest would be the way to go. Repaint Drop Tower to complement Banshee & Delirium, nix Invertigo and Congo and bring in a Dive named "Demon" (personal preference). Bring in some more shrubbery and make the area more "gothic." I'd also relocate Xtreme Skyflyer and Slingshot to Area 72.

Troika huh? If that's the case, I hope theming improves throughout that stretch to reflect on the Rivertown theme

Inverts were scarce following 2007 yet we got one in 2014.

@BeastForever I don't disagree that a dive would be sick, but I'm concerned about how little we would get vs a floorless or t-rex. It might cost more to add a dive than it would a floorless. Plus I could only see us getting a max of 4 inversions unless they make the height around 170ft to not out-do Yukon Striker. A traditional floorless looper just seems like the safest option to me

I don't like the OTSRs personally. If they could find a way to add vest restraints to floorless trains I'd be all for it.

It was originally part of Coney. I don't know who changed it on the Wikipedia page. That plot of land is odd because it was always 1/2 Coney Mall. 1/2 Rivertown. As it stands, it makes more sense to consider BLSC a part of Coney Mall. With Vortex's removal, it might make it a little easier for boundaries to be made.

I would rework the paths surronding the greenspace so that there is more land on either side. That plaza doesn't need to be as big as it is anyway. In all honesty I'd like to see BLSC added to Rivertown and rethemed during an off year. Remove the police cars, billboards, helicopter etc and retheme it to the west (or even to the derby since KY isn't too far away) Something like this would fit the theme.

As long as its the same capacity as Vortex I'll be fine with that

After Orion, and if Vortex gets replaced, I want more coasters that are lower to the ground and focus on tighter elements. We need a looping coaster back in our roster but after that I would like more family oriented rides like a spinner

I'd say relocate slingshot and *maybe* Xtreme Skyflyer to A72
