Yeah but I Don'tWantToWaitToFindOut.... Also, one of my favorite things on this site so far has been reading the thead that predicted X-Base a few years before the arrival of Firehawk and creation of X-Base. So why not try to play psychic and have our prediction saved in type?

I have a feeling Action Zone is no longer going to be know as Action Zone. Also include the close by Oktoberfest into that consideration. Posted by me an hour ago in the Italian Job news thread: Perhaps Cedar Fair is of the opinion, that with coasters, guests are always left wondering what's next, and simply wanting more. If that is the case, perhaps they go with the old mantra and "Go big or go home" with coaster expansion, and look to add giga coasters at their major parks that do not have one already. (KI & KBF specifcally) While a 300' roller coaster is rather costly to make (especially compared to family attractions that have a faster r.o.i.), Leviathan ($28,000,000) and Intimidator 305 ($25,000,000) will look like wise investments as long as they enjoy long lifespans, something SoB and TR:TR never experienced although being costly attractions. I believe constructing a coaster that isn't meet with great pubic approval or is considered mediocre would be a bad move for KI. That being said, a giga seems to me to be the most "cant-miss" option for KI. Now down to specifics. Cedar Fair seems to be about large, but not overly aggressive thrills. Right away the name Bolliger & Mabillard comes to mind here. It's also no secret that Cedair Fair has been working almost exclusively as of late with B&M for major coaster installations. Besides a smooth ride experience, B&M is also known for realiability, lack of downtime, and good rider capacity/load times. Having a B&M giga in the location once occupied by SoB could make a nice compliment to Diamondback which is located on the other end of the park. B&M giga in old SoB location 2014?

I'd guess that it will increase since last year's weather was less than ideal many days. Last year it was often scorching hot during regular season, then rain during Haunt.

I was once given such a pass/voucher thing at Hershey Park in 07 when I was in the station when their biggest attraction at the time broke down.

A "fix up" to a ride has to be much more likely than more track being added. Are there many instances where additional track has been combined to an existing coaster? On the flipside, SoB would have been more enjoyable for me had the rose bowl been removed entirely! (so long as it still ran in a circuit ofcourse)

I love how on the website it says "you'd never know by looking at it, but Woodstock Gliders is over 70 years old!" I want to say "you'd never know by looking at it, but that ride belongs to Kings Island!" I would gladly trade BLSC (formerly Italian Job:SC) to Carowinds in exchange for the Flying Eagles to make a return flight to KI. BLSC's current theming is a shell of it's former self, which was rather questionable to begin with imo. I mean rusted shipment crates, and concrete/gravel really? I can stay home in Dayton and still get that experience. Also if the money is going to be spent on keeping the pyrotechnics operating, I feel it should have more of a stage to be observed and admired, rather than being atleast partially concealed. It's been stated that Action Zone seemed the more appropriate location for this attraction, and I would have to agree. NOW years later, and it appears the much wiser decision would have been to leave the area untouched with the Antique Cars and Flying Eagles Maybe BLSC can be rethemed and billed as a new attraction for Carowinds?

Looks like Don was telling the truth when he answered Woodstock Gliders @ Carowinds to be his favorite Cedar Fair owned ride outside of Kings Island.

I think the path would help with the congestion that sometimes occurs in front of slingshot, however I don't know if it offers enough of a short cut for KI to go ahead with it. Also it helps guests bypass all the places to spend money already in place on the current path. I really enjoyed studying the layout and giving it thought, and love the enthusiasm

16 times, not bad for living an hour away. Tuesday was my most frequented day to take advantage of lower attendance in the park. Can't wait for my first ever Cedar Point visit this year!!

What's your favorite Cedar Fair owned ride outside of Kings Island?

Can't wait to step into KI. After pictures, it's probably on to my first ride on Invertigo to start off the season. Also in utter anticipation for the negative g's experienced on the second and third hills on Diamondback . This cold weather makes me want to ride The Beast though !! brrr edit: smiley confusion

I can go for one of those. All the pictures I searched for of floorless coasters look pretty gnarly. If it is going in the spot once occupied by SoB, I hope it is unique, massive, and epic just like SoB was.

Glad to hear. Flight Deck has really grown on me this past season, as I seemed to enjoy it the more times I rode it. (but not all in the same day lol) I really like how it is hidden, makes it my go-to when the park is crowded. I'm curious to see if it will remain my gem with the area being cleared around it now though.

In my mind, this confirms a new coaster for KI in 2014! It might prove difficult for me to keep from wondering exactly what it will be now!

^I totally agree with Shawn's post. Wooden roller coasters has been a rich part of KI's history. I feel with the addition of a new wooden roller coaster, KI can differentiate from Cedar Point with it's niche for immense woodies. Perhaps in doing so, KI&Cedar Fair can compete against Holiday World's impressive collection of wooden roller coasters?
