  1. I don't think anything is going for awhile. If you look FD has been rumored to be on the chop block as early as 2008. I'd just wait to see what the next new developments are in the park
  2. Arrow Parts are still available through several vendors dedicated to picking up the market, as well as Arrow's current parent company that bought them out, S&S Sansei. The only reason for removing rides is lack of ridership with increasing maint. costs. The rides are actually alot lower maint. than some rides I know of from other manufacturers. Arrow loopers will stay until you see ridership take a nosedive, which honestly hasn't happened at KI or at CP for that matter
  3. Sorry to double post...when did the lights & fog hit the theming. They weren't there when we visited the park last Friday
  4. Flight Deck is in need of a PAINT JOB....a SERIOUS ONE... the stairs and the ride station are chipped away..like a bomb went off. Have they ever swept and mopped back there...either? it's always filled with dust/leaves/sticks/etc... So, that could go along with some people's belief that we are getting the Banshee and The Bat...and that logo/color scheme is REAL...it's just not for the new coaster...it's for the Flight Deck's retheme. Then again, probably just a bunch of BS...again... No...bombs look waaay different, trust me
  5. Yeah it's like raptors setup for those familiar with CP than WOF. The thing is that where the control booth is with the lift hill, you see a good bit of the lift, then you can rely on cameras for lift crest. The blueprint looks like it has a smaller angle at least to me, but like I said, once we get details tomorrow I'll think more into it. BTW!! Looking at Blueprint...another thing. Notice after station drop off there seems to be a walkway to go to the lift and take stairs up. On inverts there is nothing until you get to the base of the lift (take stairs at base, then walk up the lift)... Hmmmmmmmm Ugh...I can't wait till tomorrow when I can put this all to rest
  6. That wouldn't happen with an invert having the station above, so if it's above, it's not an invert...so are we getting an invert or not Hmm...the thoughts... Like I said, honestly I would prefer controls to be at either back, preferrably unload towards the lift. If it had to be at the front like most B&M's, I'd put it at load side. You can watch cameras all the time, but they're not always the best view, and is a bit of a safety issue from my point of view. It's not required per operational guidelines or ASTM...but personally, I view it more safe
  7. Lol...I'm not going on those spouse forums...I've seen WAY too much of that.. All I need to say is one post involved Baby Daddy Issues...she was only his gf....bum bum bummmmm
  8. You can't really see much of The Beast or Diamondback from their control booths. See that's the thing with their controls too, I don't like that from an operational standpoint, just a small pet peeve of mine when it comes to safety. Also like someone pointed out and now me thinking of it, it could be above like GK & other wing riders...hmm..more speculation. We shall see, one more day and all is solved.
  9. Only thing I'm slightly skeptical of but you can't tell in the blueprints and it could have since been revised. If looks to be the controls are on the unload side of the platform, or hopefully possibly above. As much as cameras watching the ride is nice, in controls from my opinion, you should be able to see a bit of the ride with your own eyes to monitor other than just the station, especially the lift when it's your main area to stop something serious from happening or guests being stupid on the ride.
  10. TTD is just the tall phallic object that either you love or you don't Biggest attraction at CP that made a big difference depends on your era & your coaster preference. I say Millie put CP on the map for me, when you heard about it as a kid...giant woah, even before I ever went to CP. People before my era probably would say Maggie put CP on the map
  11. I'll just bring my Goretex, just in case And a few snickers bars
  12. Still not as good of spiels as at CP Good spiels, and dispatch on time Win
  13. Again..I ignore them, or I let them stick to their opinion. For instance, I for one could be the hugest troll of all and be a giant arrow fanboy with facts, reasoning, ect. on the whole spectrum...but I just let it go. People will be people...
  14. It's holding his blender bottle I still say though, worst workout outfit is yoga pants... On someone that shouldn't be wearing yoga pants
  15. No, raptor goes down during rain as the chain grease gets loose and may fall on the guest bellow. It closes for other reasons than that for what I know of...but I can't really prove this one wrong, but that sounds quite odd, especially considering there are covers over the wheel/axle assemblies to prevent this
  16. I think I proved in the middle. I am the 1%
  17. I just hate that people keep calling these guys trolls, but then they themselves start trolling too..this whole one sided debate stuff is what I don't get
  18. Lol, parking lot...watch me go..Going to park in employee parking with girlfriend...we should be ok, getting to 71 is going to be the time consumer, but shouldn't be too bad. Once I hit 71 I'm golden
  19. Yeah if it's over by 2230, I can make it back by 2315 easily
  20. Well I'm thinking it's not ganna be to drawn out. I don't have to be back at a specific time. If it's 0100, so what lol. Just ganna need LOTS of caffiene... Mountain Dew here I come
  21. It's a great ride, it's unique, and what it did for the beach/entrance/ect. is remarkable Thrill wise however, other than the first drop, I actually don't care for the rest. The Zero G roll, there's nothing there, the camelback, no airtime for me, not even floater. Those are my only disappointments, it doesn't deliver what I want out of a high thrill ride, like say Magnum or Maverick. However, it is the smoothest ride I've ever ridden, even moreso than Millie, and that's a feat. My first ride was just glass. Also I will say, it's not worth a three hour wait if it's full queues. I would wait about maybe 1.5hrs at max, and that's it. Maverick, I'd wait all day for a back row/front row seat.
  22. Lol, I'm sleeping GOOOD tomorrow night... Early Tech--IE get to work an hour early for the whole week Sooo...staying up late @ KI for the announcement, probably won't be back till 2300 or so 0500 is going to come pretty hard...uuuughh But so worth it
  23. Maxair is better, as you put it. Only thing not great about maxair Guest illness...on the midways...with people mmmmmm
  24. Why did you put quotations around cover, that's exactly what it is the "cover" is covering.
