thedevariouseffect replied to ki95's topic in Kings Island
Real snakes eh? Have to take a look next time when it's not raining and I can actually take an interest in haunt...Maybe this week, we shall see -
That would make Terp look like this mess...and I think he'd rather not look like this...nor hopefully anyone else here on this board...We finally rid one member of the dreaded man car stealing fanny pack..

So you did not feel any vibration or overall shaking in the back, especially brown train, right side very last row... Last time I was there, I could not ride that same seat two times in a row -
^Thanks for the comment, my gf would be happy to hear this, she was part of the show in a way

Gatekeeper restraints
thedevariouseffect replied to Kat's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^Correct...The OTSR is a hydraulically locked restraint, when the valve is closed, the restraint can only travel down pinning you more, not up past the locking point after being secured via seatbelt. The vest followed a similar matter, but reminds me almost of a ratcheting restraint. It would normally be the same as the OTSR, and if it went in, it locked more, however, this has either been reprogrammed, or something mechanical was changed to now allow the vest to have freedom of motion at all times. It has a slight bit of tension to keep it pressed up against you to control your upper body and restrain you, but not to staple you and crush injuries -
And people say DB doesn't stack -___- Why this Eric guy, what's so special, noone said why

Yup...PJ's are a fun bunch of people, had the privilege of training with a few of them during some quarterly excercises....Think what PJ's do...my career field can go even a bit higher than them and work alongside them as their teams medic...If ya ever see an IDMT, watch them work, just badass pros with medicine...Even can make a Navy Corpsman weak in the knees and those are some of the people in combat medicine I respect the most

I think the Crypt is just being a sarcastic guy as per usual

God I'd love to be an emt there...comparing park injuries to what I'm trained for...I'm way overqualified haha

Operator error didn't cause the numerous cable breaks, falling off of lift hill, no restraint evac, collissions between blocks, brake failures. Ect...

Stud go look at the list of defunct intamin rides...many are 10yr and younger... Stud again your posts here were usually quite positive and rewarding here, but recently has seemed to take a nose dive and I have been one to usually back you on many many scenarios... Don't know what's happened...starting to disappoint me
-
They have made a few errors just like intamin...however their space shot, turbo drop, combo, and screaming swings are beautifully reliable and redundant..
-
If the restraint hurts you here's a simple solution. Pull restraint down to minimum and buckle it. From there pull down slow until there's a small finger gap (about two fingers) between you and the restraint. Push out on the restraint during checks and then the whole ride...problem solved

If they do they're job right they can still scare ya haha After working at a haunted house in high school (#3 in the US) you learn how to work your scene haha -
The ride won't truly be fixed if they don't fix the falling off the lift issue lmao

Other parks sell deflates balls and they seem to be doing just fine...if a family can't afford the pump...they shouldnt be spending money on admission, parking, and games
