  1. The building is still used for SWAT/Police training yes? Would be nifty to partake
  2. Yeah I wasn't a fan of Atlanta though, pretty from the air, but the airport and surrounding area match my dread of flying into ATL
  3. Yeah you probably should have said something... Big guy or not, it was probably illegal as hell Regardless, no smoking in the queues, means for removal from the line
  4. Again...no life again for whoever just marathons only one of KI's great rides This still escapes me...10K rides on DB...Riding it however many times a day...your point is? Just...I guess I can't comprehend some levels of coaster enthusiast
  5. Btw responding to the page before this, I still prefer Voodoo/Posessed to Wicked Twister. That rear spike is excellent And Banshee looks very nice, I'm really ganna miss this
  6. Been there hot cold, post rain, and early morning runs, still has the same result. I do notice it more in the colder weather, which like all coasters is to be expected, but mid JUL I still started noticing the same problem. I do honestly think the wheels are probably wearing, and yes weather is a slight contributing factor...but like I said I bet you next year, smooth as it has been like every opening year. It may not be opening day inagural year smooth, but it's still going to be a great fun ride as per usual
  7. I'll just continue to ride Banshee's virtual pov and eventually real HD pov... Sign.. But you all will have snow and yucky weather for two years, I will not..so I guess there's a trade off
  8. Look who's back liking posts again...interesting
  9. And this is why I don't let out which days I go just on my own....Once secrets get out or the park realizes a slump, both the GP and the park will correct that... Man I miss some of the personal days I used to take in '10-'11....Tried that same trick this year at a few parks...no bueno
  10. I really wish they did live webcams like CP does..and these webcams were accesible on a .mil network
  11. ^^People will be people... I see this way too much everyday and yup, sound starts at the track, support is basically a giant speaker. Eliminate the sound at the source and slap some wheels on, nice and quiet. It blows me away how Gatekeeper has practically no noise at all if you have ever been by with no music on, no crowds, ect..Only noise is the occasional wheel running over the track sections and the rollbacks moving around
  12. Get some big macs, plump you up quick
  13. I like how loud Mantis is, to me thats just a really nice sound..Plus from an operational standpoint when you learn everything about the ride layout, it easily can tell you where it is haha. B&M fills the tubular rails and the box section of the track, as for supports for what I understand are hollow and sealed prior to delivery. DB has nothing to do with sound, it's the wheels that they have used on the ride that have made the ride quieter than what it truly could be
  14. What Intamin has done is radically different than what B&M does.
  15. If the restraint doesn't secure via seat belt in either the normal seat or fatty seat, it's a no go, everything else is fair game. That vest get HUGE...Like...girls who are gifted could work on that ride
  16. Yes, filling the rails with sand prevents the sound from echoing withink the hollow box support making the distinctive roar you hear as the train moves through the course. Without sand in the rails=loud, sand in the rails=no sound like Gatekeeper over the front gate
  17. If I end up seeing you this week I may bring a pair...it'll come close, but we shall see..Also for cold weather the 100% cotton ABU's are nice and thick, pretty good for cold weather.. Being a native Ohioan...I'll wear the ripstop abu (50% cotton, 50% poly) that's thin (our summerweight) and still be fine however haha
  18. It actually has a bit more movement than that, if you want you could literally pull the restraint part of the vest all the way out until it reaches the end of the belt if you wanted.
  19. Seems like Wookiepedia is run by Jeff Putz... Interesting.. The minute you only follow one values demographics and thoughts...you basically don't open up to new ideas...just saying..Pretty lame I'd say
  20. Actually what's your waist size...I may have old ABU pants that are of the old 100% cotton blend that I don't want anymore..I prefer the ripstop material..
  21. And this is where I come in and say this is why you're not an admin here... Yes it may seem like trolling at times, and at some times I think he may do it a bit to get a rise out of all of you because to be honest some of your reactions are beautiful and almost sitcom ish...Never have I seen people stand up and defend inanimate objects and companies they don't even work for or are affiliated with, with such loyalty and hostility...There are times I don't even agree with him, but it all does come back to and is his personal belief and opinion, and I can do nothing to correct that. The only things I will jump in to correct is using the wrong information, or to put a bit of logic behind his opinion...Now, and as I have in the past I will defend his right to have an opinion...if he wants to post it, even if it seems redundant and nonstop, he can do it..No different than the how many SOB should have done this, or we should have done that, ect that I saw in the past while lurking..or Flight Deck should be The Bat posts...
  22. Just get a pair of military spec pants...all the room in your pants you could dream of (man that sounds dirty) I suggest multicams...beatiful camo, very fun, and very effective camo...probably only set ya back 50-ish maybe 30 if you find a good vendor that'll sell em at the price we can get em
  23. It will...with off season NDT and routine maint. Next year, fresh again and just as good, just like this year.. I will give it this, B&M wheels do tend to last quite awhile at least to my known knowledge...Few rides I worked, it wasn't unheard of to transfer off a train to have maint. replace a bad wheel...especially when the park skimped on money and went with a new vendor we still currently use..sigh...At least the speed rating is right this time finally...I don't wanna even go there with how stupid that was
  24. She'd still find a way to complain...I only saw her once, and the facial expressions of her and the few people around her told me everything I needed to know... That and the blatantly funny "Judy K eats here in Johnny Rockets" Adult humor kicking in, go find it if you can
  25. Yep, I'll agree with ya there...It wasn't rough as per say...pain...but the vibration and shaking, it gave me a slight headache after getting off, and that's a no go..plus the oddest feeling of my trachea vibrating, without talking was quite odd.. But Green train seems to be the best maintained...brown seems roughest to me, all trains follow same seating patterns, but brown seemed to get at me more everytime I've been on it..Front is still a great ride, but man the back airtime is incredible, but not worth future headaches
