  1. Is the warrenty really 3 hours? If so all I can say is WOW that's not even enough time to complete testing phase. It also shows how much faith a company has in its product.
  2. Which is worse... Geicohttp://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hxRoXuPjAKc Or Bob Avery...(I have omitted video as I am almost sure all of you know what he sounds like)
  3. Maybe Terp can sit next to his best friend, Bob Avery. I'm sure that he would love being bombarded with "wheeeeee! Twisty-Loopty-loop!!!!!"
  4. Wow this topic has gotten...aggressive. Instead of updates only arguments...
  5. Well if anyone wants an update I made it past 1st round of interviews, going in for second round on Monday!
  6. As stated earlier, please make use of the edit function instead of making a new post directly below your last post, double posting goes against the TOS you agreed to when joining and if you don't follow them, a moderator will take action.
  7. Posts so nice, he had to make thrice. FoF96" beating Terp to the punch. (if indeed Terp was planning on calling out triple post)
  8. I think they have a shot of building all of the flat rides and the slide complex. The things that catch my attention as to should have been started awhile ago are the adventure river, the wave lagoon, and Lightning Run. I think that all of these might be built by the time the park opens but my guess is Lightning Run will be in the testing phase when the park opens.
  9. After seeing where Banshee is in it's construction phase, I don't see how it is going to be possible to get everything Kentucky Kingdom has said they are going to open in 2014 done by opening day. Lightning Run has 0 vertical construction and the first slide complex began the other day. They are telling me that they are going to build a rollercoaster, 2 slide complexes, a new wave pool, an adventure river, a Drop Tower, an Eagles ride, bumper cars, and update their indoor theatre all in 4 months? I don't see how that is going to be possible, especially seeing the pace they seem to be moving at now.
  10. I think if Kings Island ever added one of these outside of DA it would have to be small upcharge for capacity reasons.
  11. The word "Batzel" has been stuck in my head all day. Idk why because I am calling it batwing, I think it was the golden batzels that did it.
  12. Ok how would that even work? Twisted Twins has two tracks I don't see how connecting Thunder Run would do anything besides ruin a racing coaster. Edit: in case Terp saw I am aware Twisted Twins/Thunder Run are registered trademarks and must be capitalized.
  13. Ride operations. I do communicate well and birthday falls before opening of park making me of age. That and along with the way I act have me fairly confident.
  14. If jobs were actually being handed out with 1/7 I'd have about a 14% shot, however, after seeing some other applicants and the fact it will be interview makes me feel fairly confident. I think I have somewhere between 70-80% chance. My current boss said this as well as he was there that day for a meeting or something and he was like I had to use the restroom but some of the applicants scared me. Haha
  15. 80' s on 8... All day when I got I work...everyday and Sirius has No commercials. Granted I Since it's not summer I can only go to work when I'm off school because it's an orthodontist office that closes at 5.
  16. I loved the bees. I actually have a few photos of me on that ride haha
  17. ^ that's part of the fun with Trabants! You slam them, they crush you.( your fingers) Who doesn't like that!? Lol*** And on the power surge, they have one at the Kentucky State Fair and it does not run at full tilt. For some reason my seat didn't flip a lot it just kept swinging to put my weight towards the ground but at full tilt I would imagine a different experience. ***please note that everything previous is sarcasm.
  18. Sadly, Trabants are quickly becoming one of those "ride it while you can rides" that seem to be disappearing left and right, I know of one that was high quality at a small Panama City beach amusement park that was left to rot if not destroyed with the rest of the park. Sure there are a few traveling Wipeout models, but those seem to be slower at least at my fair and it does not appear every year, thankfully last year they brought their Trabant instead of Wipeout and it had a long pretty fast cycle. I can only hope these will be reinvented or be around in the future, it's always a shame when a great ride disappears.
  19. Maybe you are speaking of the new colors but most of what I see Paramount actually installed. The only thing Cedar Fair installed was Banshee, but if you are counting new paint I'll give it to ya
  20. And out of that large crowd I saw many applicants that I sincerely hope they do not hire. There were some being obnoxiously loud and believe it or not there were some that insisted they needed a seat while waiting in line for a nametag which took probably less than 5 minutes. I found it halarious that these people were asking to be hired for a job that would require them to stand on their feet for many hours and be in potentially 95 degree heat. I sure hope the people in charge were paying attention to what was going on because that sure caught my eye. Some of the departments were writing names down so they could pull up potential hires applications but others such as ride operations had a slightly larger crowd that would go in and out so he spoke most of the time and did not write names, although he said mine multiple times and talked to me for a minute. Once again really hope they saw who was acting professional and who seemed lazy because I would be upset if one sitting on a bench got hired over me, but I guess only time will tell. Wish me luck!
  21. I am ALREADY back from the job fair. To me it felt like they could have gone for a slightly larger room. It felt cramped in there. What they did strongly push in the ride operations part was Safety. The man spoke of it and incorporated it into everything he said. So I give them props for how concerned they seemed with safety. The display they used for ride operations was a car from the Roller Skater and it's control panel. He explained how everything worked and that for that ride we would really only need 3 buttons out of the maybe 12 that were on it. Hoping I get the job, he did use me as an example of what happens if I wasn't paying attention and in the end apparently the roller skater cut my hand off because I was giving someone a high 5. Well I wouldn't do that but at least he knows who I am now.
  22. That third sentence!Coke is a registered trademark of The Coca-Cola Company of Atlanta, Georgia. As such, it is always capitalized.Even though a Purchase, New York company offers a superior elixir.Sometimes predictable Terpster, in Warshington.Lol I knew that was coming before I changed pages! And what is this elixir you speak of? Surely not Pepsi! That clock is awesome! Does it actually work? If so that is even cooler.
  23. I don't remember much of the Starliner, other than it was white and had some sort of decorative tunnel. Maybe if this plan goes through ill ride it again. Only part I remember really was the curve into the station.
  24. I had a feeling that one was going to be Terped one way or another, although I was expecting a "someone knows" but that is something that no one actually knows haha
