  1. Just saw the announcement today on their website: They are building two new water slides for Boomerang Bay!
  2. So YoungStud, what was that you were talking about Intamins reliability back on the Starting To Decode 2014 thread?
  3. 2 things wrong with this post:Jacksonville is not the largest city in America in square miles. Believe it or not, but Juneau, Alaska is. You misspelled Jaguars. Mer, just cleaning up after you.
  4. The article said that CP is the biggest park. Not sure how, though.
  5. The article I read was unsure of the amount, but it was confirmed after I posted that it was $50 million, not 30.
  6. And I forgot to mention: these new additions will make Carowinds Cedar Fair's 4th largest park!!!!!
  7. LITERALLY JUST ANNOUNCED TODAY http://www.carowindsconnection.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3925 Nothing revealed yet, but definitely some good stuff is in the works for my home park!
  8. Lucy's Crabbie Cabbie at Carowinds. 15ft tall, 5mph. Boring.
  9. The most embarrassing thing that happened to me was at Carowinds. It was closing time, 10:00, and everyone was streaming towards the exit. I was with my older brother, and my cousin. I like to go through the turnstiles for some reason (don't ask why) and so I went through one of them at a half run...and it was locked. That really hurt my stomach. Everyone laughed, including me.
  10. Well, now that Banshee was announced, I'm bored.

  11. HmmmmYet his wife didnt even exist until after he died?
  12. It's really not that great of a waterpark. They badly need a new slide complex there. But I would say the best day to go is a weekday. NEVER go on Saturdays.
  13. That's kind of creepy that they put KIC members names on gravestones. Or maybe it's just me. Mer, who's creeped out
  14. Remember when all the parks sent out the newsletter saying, "Summer flys by. Sometimes at record speed!" I bet it'll break the invert speed record too! Mer, decoding like a boss.
  15. Geez this topic goes from topic to topic. FAST.
  16. Woo can't wait till the 8th!!!

  17. If that is fake, it's one heck of a drawing!Mer, who did not necessarily want to see those. Oh well, at least I'll be able to sleep the next few nights...
  18. That drop looks cool to me. Mer, who about passed out with excitement when he heard the announcement date.
  19. Well the Afterburn has six and it could easily do two or three more, if there was enough space.
  20. Not very long till the announcement! Mer, who's very excited right now and probably won't sleep for the next week.
  21. Arrow Dynamics invented the Hypercoaster. A full 10 years before Intamin or B&M built their first ones. You haven't heard of Cedar Point's Magnum XL-200? Opened in 1989, 205 feet tall...no inversions...aka, Hypercoaster #1...http://rcdb.com/11.htm Intamin didn't make their first hypercoaster until 1999, when "Superman: Ride of Steel" (now just Ride of Steel as Six Flags no longer owns the park) opened... http://rcdb.com/541.htm And B&M also made their first hypercoaster in 1999, when they opened "Apollo's Chariot" at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. http://rcdb.com/531.htm Dangit forgot about magnum
  22. I've never actually ridden an Intamin, but the b and ms I've been on we're pretty good (Intimidator, Afterburn, Vortex) although Vortex isn't the most comfortable, but of course it has been around for about twenty years and it is a stand up coaster. Intimidator is very fun, it has nice airtime, and even styles your hair for you! Afterburn is very fun, it's action-packed, and goes upside down 6 times. After all, b and m has invented the invert, floorless, dive, and wing coasters. Intamin has invented the hyper (I think), giga, strata, and zacspin coasters.
  23. We're all on a bumpy road. Except me. I'm on a couch. Lucky Mer
  24. Gosh I was just on that last week!
  25. Don't use your phone while driving! Somebody could get hurt! Mer, who couldn't resist giving someone a safety tip.
