  1. Now there’s an update on Screamscape. They’re reporting that it looking confirmed regarding the BBQ joint.
  2. Wonder if the bbq joint could also serve ribs like at Carowinds? Could it be feasible?
  3. So is it the Mac bar or the island Smokehouse on the rides side?
  4. When Paramount owned the park, there supposedly were rules in place such that any attraction would have to be planned, built, and tested within a calandar year. These rules were implemented after the Stealth and Son of Beast fiascos. In terms of additions, I’d think you’d see more flats such as Larson’s, Funtime, even Gerstlauers. Ive been told that there was survey work done by the Rivertown RR for the return of the Antique cars. Whether that actually would happen is debatable. However, I’d think in terms of coasters, KI would have received a full sized invert, due to the ROI, and reliability of the Inverted coaster type.
  5. Apparently Kings Island was part of Cincinnati’s bid for the Olympic Games. I’m curious how the park would have held events.
  6. It looks like shear walls were in. Do you think the roof will be raised providing the open air nature seen in the Starbucks eatery on IStreet? Taken on final day of Winterfest.
  7. Not only that, but I bet KI has it on tape. It was still there today at 6 pm.
  8. It’s moving quickly now. https://kicentral.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2018_01/23821319-039A-4CD8-85C0-2F6A547D9FCA.webm.e361f2657eeaadbe780541571fe24143.webm 23821319-039A-4CD8-85C0-2F6A547D9FCA.webm
  9. The clues are in the snow. Jk. Creativity points to whoever did this.
  10. So I’m taking that carousel and dodgems are included in the outdoor rides, even though they are shielded from the elements?
  11. Seems like they were recovering the train prior to park closing last night. And at BGE, Invadr valleyed during the park’s winter event as well due to snow on the track.
  12. Question: with Mystic stuck over the reservoir, how do they do the pull through to get the train from it’s current spot?
  13. Here’s what it looked like. @KIghostguy, the posts may be for the studs holding up the form if they do a slab based foundation for the restaurant.
  14. Vortex has a Brain? I thought it was consuming ours with all the head banging. JK. Actually, Vortex’s PLC is the most complex due to the fact the initial stop on the transfer track doesn’t make the entire car sit on the transfer section.
  15. In Winterfest map, Coney Confections is gone. That’s a huge piece of real estate.
  16. All the rides are walk on. No waits.
  17. The Jolly Trolly has arrived. I have shared the image that KI shared over social media.
  18. It would be for what is planned for the ground. Usually if there’s a construction site with utilities, it is capped or the line is detoured.
  19. Some of the markers were placed back in April, some were spray painted, others physical.
  20. The survey markers ran from the front of Coney Potato Works, to the front of attitudes, and then back 40 feet. The lines being laid in TG were separate, and they might as well be part of the cooling system for the ice skating rink.
  21. The comparable one at CGA had an amazing Po Boy’s Shrimp Sandwhich. It’s economically viable for each of the parks, and it allows them to easily change the menu if needed.
