Those buildings are done. There’s no way they can claim that work is only for a refurbishment. #makewayforskywarpconstruction

“Not at the same level when it comes to KI”. If you’re talking about the rides, I’d tend to agree, however, if you’re talking waterpark, then that is a load of bull. KI has the better coaster and flat ride line up, but HW and KK have a far superior waterpark than what KI has. For instance at KK, you have the second tallest free fall slide in the world, 4 bowl slide towers, water coaster, 2 tube slide towers, 2 lazy rivers, 2 wave pools, a bar, 2 raft slide towers...... At Holiday World you have #1 and #2 ranked water slide in a top ranked water park, 3 funnel/bowl slide towers, large mat racer, 3 kids areas etc..... And no, the music isn’t coming back as they are using it as a way to influence reviews of teens/ young adults to try to gain a larger foothold in that market.

The only way to remove a retweet is a). Ask the persons who retweeted, or b). delete the original tweet.

Say what you want, but with the Attitudes building getting demolished, I think we could get a skywarp.
-
But blocking users who commented first time around is the worse possible decision one could make, as it makes it look like there is something happening.

Interesting

However, the first Skywarp was supposed to be announced during IAAPA. The fact the announcement is being made later makes this more suspicious. Looking back at the Tower Gardens site, yes we are getting a (CENSORED) but are we getting more? In Early August: Tower Gardens shuts down, and reopens. Only difference are footers, and the utility lines being placed. First Week August, Survey Markings appear all over Western end of Coney Mall. 8/16: KI doesn't make announcement along with MA for 2018 additions. Rumor of later announcement. 9/4: Coney Potato Works and Attitudes are closed for final time. Following Week: Construction walls go up for 2.3 acre site. Potato Works is demolished. Attitudes building is gutted, and currently in process of demolition. 9/28 : Tweet goes out stating Skyline Attraction Project is on docket with SFDK and KI. If you look at size of ride, compared to the size of the land, it's a perfect fit.

In 65 million years, humans. All joking aside, either flats or Giga.

I'm looking at the rides, and I think the best ride of Winterfest will be........... Woodstock's Gliders, along with Mystic. I would love it if KI put Rudolph Nose decorations on the front of each Dodgem vehicle.
-
But they weren’t careful. It’s cheaper to tear down and rebuild than to retrofit.
-
So granted that WOF Winterfest rides are listed, can we assume the same with KI?
-
It’s on the back wall, side that riders exit.
-
And this info “came in like a wrecking ball”!

They make Beast references. #package1979isabeast

It’s changed. More props in station.

There’s more props in station.

I think we all know what this means.

Sorry about not being able to link it. In regards to a market not being saturated, I'm still waiting for my inverted wooden AquaTrax from Intamin!

This is going to be an interesting topic for sure, but documentation of the announcement of The Vortex, back in 1986, states that the ride was almost built in 83, but the park went with building WWC instead. Since The Bat was still standing in 83, what would the design and location of the original ride would have been? I think it may have been more like Carolina Cyclone, and be placed where King Cobra was later built..

Let's look at the demographics. CP gets 15k OSU students on OSU day (first day of their season), and they are more targeted towards adventurous young adults. KI on the other hand, doesn't get trips often from OSU, even though it's 1.25 hours away (and closer than CP).

I wasn't trying to state they had an effect on guest attendance. I was trying to state that Marketing may be catering to the interests of that specific group in order to impress them, therefore creating interest among them.

They were. Hamilton County Fair is not as popular as it once was.

I'm saying it's being used to make the park more attractive for Teenagers/College Students.
-
Let me tell you, I'm shocked that people are arguing about the music on the site. There's a very good reason that there was a change, and it's the market KI was aiming for when adding Mystic Timbers, the late teen/college student. Remember our GM came from the Restaurant industry. At any restaurant, the music is fitting for the environment. Most of the time, when I first judge a restaurant, I Judge it based off the music I hear from the entrance. A eatery like the one at the top of the Radisson is going to be playing much more classical/calming music than what you will hear at a McDonalds. That being said, aiming the entry music at the targeted group at KI is pure genius. Let's admit, first impressions are basically what drives our reviews of parks. If someone is going to recommend a park, they're basically going to have to be wowed during the whole experience. KI has an issue with attracting college students. We have a great number of families and elders, as well as those above 40. But honestly, what's going to be driving a college student to visit KI. From experience, a college student would rather have a drink, do some urban exploration, or attend a concert rather than visit KI. What KI is trying to appeal to is the college student. The #whatsintheshed campaign was targeted at the college student. Don't believe me, look at the number of urban exploration, hiking, and climbing clubs popping up all over campus across the country.
