Got my stuff together for Coasterstock. Very excited. In answer to the 8 digit number, on my pass it's right below the barcode and the long number beneath it. Took me about a half hour to join a coaster club(ACE), buy my ticket and register. Plenty of time before Sunday for you folks who want to go to get it done. Looks like I'm flyin' solo (my family and friends can be wimps sometimes:)) and I'm alrite with that. Gonna be a blast.

It's Alrite to have conversations with each other. We get off-topic with each other quite often. Unless there is a specific thread where the conversation goes, no harm no foul. Keeps us human.

Easy enough. Put the darn phone away and ya don't lose it. I don't get it. 99% of people don't care if ya got a video of you riding something. And how many times are you gonna watch the video? And if its a phone call, if it's that important, why are still there?

Wow, sounds like a fun place to visit. They seem to enjoy their parks a little differently than we do.

^I'm almost the exact opposite. It take alot to make me queasy. Really the only other ride I can think of that does is Invertigo. Oddly Carolina Cobra did not, though.

I swear, reading this made me think of Wynona Ryder's character from Mr. Deeds.

KD can have The Crypt. One of the most nauseating rides I ever rode. Never rode the one at KI. Very glad I passed. I'd take Volcano or I-305, though

Yea, I've seen The Beast plaque. Not only do I not remember where The Racer plaque is, I don't know that I've ever seen it. I guess not being a member of ACE (or any other coaster club, which may change very soon, for maybe obvious reasons) I've never paid attention to the different awards they have for coasters. I don't know, not being a member or anything else, I know my opinion doesn't matter. But you think almost any wood coaster that has stood, mostly unchanged for over 40 years, they'd wanna do something for it.

It lost it's recognition because they added seatbelts, and that don't make it original? Wow. But The Beast added belts and changed lapbars, and it's still an ACE coaster? I'd hate to think they they declassified it for making the coaster a little safer. Things that make ya go hmmm.

But, I don't hear so well......

Huh, I didn't see that. So does that mean none of the belts worked?? This one is just mind-boggling. And sounds to me totally unnecessary. EDIT: I just went back and reread the first article, did miss they we're the only ones on it.

The way it's going, before we know it there won't be any animal acts, anywhere. Cruelty to animals??? I don't know if it is or not, but the animal acts were my favorite as a kid. what a shame.

Crazy, hate to hear that. Should've been simple, belts broke, cars closed, period. Move to another car or wait till next ride. But that's not the only major thing that stands out to me. That thing must have been FLYIN to throw someone out, had to be. I'm sure most of us have been on a scrambler (I see no difference between the two besides looks) at the very most the fastest one I've ever been on will pin ya against the outside of the car. But to lift some out of the car, completely? Kinda hard to wrap my head around this one.........

Might cause a riot sayin' that around here. Some folks are way to serious.

I like MF, don't get me wrong. It's big and fast. But that's all it is. To me I think I-305 is a far better coaster. There's folks here that disagree with that, too. As for my personal opinion on what I would like or think we'll see...... Phil, headin for the exit of the Decoding thread, for now.
