Boooooooooo. I was planning a trip to KD just to ride that coaster, but in September. King Cobra was my absolute favorite coaster when I was a kid. I just knew it was gonna be closed soon, I just didn't expect it to be "hey you've gotta month, then we're gonna close it type of deal. Crap, maybe I'll just head to Carowinds, Instead.

That's awful. Freak accident or not, you hear people hurting themselves all the time with fireworks. I've even personally seen it. Respect and safety goes along way.

I remember riding WWC when I was in my teens (about 15-20 years ago), someone on the ride pulled out an umbrella on my boat (this was back when they paired riders up to fill up the boat so I didn't know the person). The person shooting the geyser warned the rider to put away their umbrella which of course they didn't listen to. All of a sudden I had something happen that had never happened before, they stopped our boat in the middle of the ride and she just started pounding us with a geyser until the rider eventually put the umbrella away. Too bad they didn't do that to this particular rider, I can assure you no electronic device would of survived the water beating I took that day. Oh man, that would be so great, It'd be even better if it broke umbrella.

I live in New Boston (Portsmouth) Kings Island is just over a couple hours away, Cedar Point is roughly 4 hrs. We can get tons of KI discounts but nothing else. Even Heiners Bread has ten dollar off coupons attached to their packages. But, yea, most of ours are from Krogers.

Just got home from the park, busiest Monday I've seen. It might've just been me, lines just seemed slow moving today.

Wow, just wow. What in the world is going on? If this stuff keeps happening, it may get hard to get people into any park. This is all just so sad.

Sad, even sadder because it could have been avoided. Here's hoping to a full recovery to the worker and rider.

And "ducklips".......Can't stand 'em When I see someone doing it, I just wanna walk over and squeeze their lips together. According to my thirteen year old, it is not a pleasant experience.

Oh, and my guilty pleasure? Mean Streak. I know that thing is gonna beat me half to death. But i'll ride it 3 or 4 time in a row. Basically till I'm beat into submission.

I always have liked watching the young'ens faces after they've just got finished riding. especially their first time riding something that is bigger than they've rode before. I know for me, personally, I'd love to do it over again myself. But getting to do it with my kids and seeing their faces. That is something I would not trade for anything in the world.

You and your family have my utmost sympathy. That is a rough time to go through. I've been going through the same thing with my mom who is terminal. Except for work I rarely leave her side. I really wish the best for you folks. Stay strong.
