Unfortunately the smoking is an issue every time we are there, my husband smokes but he only does it in the designated areas, I will never understand people that can't walk a little and smoke where they are supposed to.

Funny thing is, it took us last Tuesday almost 6 hours to get to CP going 75 north, but coming home it was 5 hours going 71. My husband and I love the 127 drive it's beautiful. It can be tricky at night because it's so dark but we've learned it pretty well. We love KI and anticipate being there quite a bit this season!

That's the problem , the sauce at coney is not a house sauce, it's sweet baby Ray's which I don't really care for. Funny at Reds the sauce is Montgomery Inn.

I was pretty disappointed that there were only 3 members and you're right, there wasn't much that they did. I saw the rude behavior as well, that's why I went and stood by sweet spot,. I know the only reason my husband got picked was because he's so tall, he can be seen easier. And yeah that dj really did encourage rude behavior.

I never had the pleasure of riding sob lol but I have a feeling I probably would have hated it. I've rode Valrayvn and GateKeeper at CP in the rain but it was in the fall and I had layers of clothes on so it wasn't too bad but wow having shorts on was a whole different experience.

Actually I need to create an account for him, I always tell him what we all talk about on here but he's not real tech savvy so I need to set it all up for him lol. He still is talking about having been picked to go on stage, he put his autographed pic in our China cabinet, I swear like a little kid lol

I hear you there. I'm lucky as I'm 3 blocks from 127. There's hardly ever any traffic just have to use bright lights at night but it's not too bad. We've actually looked at moving to Owenten to get closer to the park.

I'm in Frankfort, we used to take 64 to 75 but it's way out of the way. We take 127 North which is pretty much back road and 56mph except in Owenten. 127 runs right into 71/75 at Sparta (where the KY speedway is). We used to take a turn to follow 127 in Owenten but it takes you thru these twisty roads and is a bugger in the dark. Going straight to 71 has knocked off about 15 min. Youre more than welcome to hitch a ride with us any time!

Luckily our car is pretty good on gas, takes under a half tank round trip and just about a tank for CP. We are hoping to go back to CP next week during the week w my friend from Georgia, she's only been to six flags lol. I enjoyed CP last week but w only certain rides open it left me wanting more. We've never been to KD or Carowinds but will probably not do those this year. I hope gas comes down too!

Yeah but I'm fine with it, stuff happens and I know we will be able to ride them at another time. Last week we were about to board beast and it went down, that one disappointed me but oh well. With this being our first year having season passes at the beginning of the season, we are getting our money's worth out of them. We used to think the 2 hour drive was long but after going to Cedar Point last week and it taking 6 hours to get there this is nothing. We have found a little bit of a short cut that has knocked about 15 min off the drive time. Our biggest issue is not leaving our dogs for so long but we have worked around that. Can't wait for next week when they are open daily.

I loved the brisket yesterday and hope they keep it exactly like it is now. The chopped brisket didn't look food from the pictures but this sliced brisket was over the top good.

Seemed to be a lot of breakdowns yesterday. First thing in the morning we tried stunt coaster and it was down. We had just gotten up the exit to Mystic when it went down, we waited about 40 min and got on. Went back to stunt coaster, had 45 min wait time, got up there next to board and it went down. Also while waiting we noticed racer train at the top of the hill for around 15 min.

We have the dining plan and I disagree that it's all fast food. Yes some of it is. My husband and I are both watching what we eat and I haven't had fast food outside of the park since October when I was diagnosed with diabetes. There are healthy options... rotisserie chicken, salads, etc. Yes most is not healthy but even at Hank's I just ask for small iubts of some of the stuff and never eat even half of it. Amusement parks have to feed large amounts in a timely matter and a lot of that constitutes hamburgers, pizza, etc. I have noticed skyline looks like they put a pound of cheese on their dishes, we don't go there as I'm not interested in chili that has cinnamon in it

We headed to coney bbq when the dark clouds started coming in. It let up enough that we got up to Starbucks right when it started again, we sat in there for probably a half hour or so until it let up a bit more and we left. No it wasn't me up there, it was my husband, tall, bald head, he was the one that had to do a little dance after playing with the ball. He was so ecstatic, he had never seen them and was thrilled when they picked him to go up. I unfortunately was over near sweet spot by the fountains standing up. I got video of it but it was so far away you can't see it very well. I had to sit for a while which was why i wasn't up close with him.

If anyone was there today (Sun) at the 1p show and has any pics from when they brought up 3 kids and 3 adults please let me know. My husband was the tall, bald guy but I was off to the side by the fountains and never got any decent pics, thanks!

I had the brisket today and loved it, mine was not slathered in sauce but had some. I guess what one person likes another will not, I never tried the tri tip as it always looked dry and like it had been sitting there for hours plus everyone was saying how small the portions were, not the case w my dinner tonight.

We got loaded on Banshee Friday and I swear as soon as we were locked in it started pouring. Rain never bothered me til then, I was wearing shorts and it was the most painful ride ever. Anyone going today? We are about 10 min from the park now.

We are on our way there now, planned to get there for ert but someone didn't get up early enough lol.

We held off going today, we were there yesterday and of course right when we got buckled in on Banshee it started pouring, really don't care about being wet but first time riding in the rain in shorts, omg never again. We are planning on going tomorrow, it rained all day here in Kentucky and we decided to be lazy.

I wanted to go Sunday but hubby is working so we are coming Sat, I'm prepared for it to be super busy but that's ok, still better than being home. We are still recovering from our 5 hour drive to Cedar Point Tues. I know this is a KI board but omg ive never ridden anything like steel vengeance, it was worth the long car ride to and from.

Yep told my husband we definitely need to go this weekend, I think it will be fun.
